The next day "Good morning weirdo." I say, opening my eyes to Josie staring at me."Were you watching me sleep?" "Good morning" she says back. "Can we talk now?" "No!" "Why not? You said today." "I didn't say today. I only said not last night." I smirked She put her powdy face on, "Meanie!" I laughed. "Fine, we can talk baby. But let me go first, ok… I'm sorry." I told her as I put my hand on hers. "About last night and everything. I kind of talked with Vera last night. Although, I was doing most of the talking. But anyways, she helped me see a few things clearer. I like Gio, but I'm just scared and everything is moving so fast. We just met them days ago and I feel like this is home. I'm happy here. And I know you are too." She listened and nodded a few times. I added, "I want to stay and see what happens." With those words Josie jumped up and squealed. Jumping on the bed like a 2year old. Just then the boys come running in, "Everything ok? We heard a scream." "Everything is fine. It's just Josie being excited. And go get some clothes on! You're showing your panties." I scolded them. Josie and I busted out laughing. Gio puts his nose up and calmly says, "They're not panties, they're boxes." And walked out of the room. Closing the door behind them. Josie and I looked at each other and started laughing again. We got up and put some clothes on. I just put my hair in a bun and we skipped downstairs. I was in a good mood. The boys were already downstairs sitting at the big table. We entered the kitchen. Ron, the family friend, was cooking. "You ladies can have a seat this morning, I'll bring you your plates." Ron instructed. We nodded and went to sit down. Josie gave Sam a kiss on his cheek and they smiled at each other. I put a kiss on Giovanni's forehead as I walked behind him. "Why don't I get a kiss on my cheek?" He whined. "Big baby." I snorted. "Maybe next time." "So there's a next time?" He said while raising his eyebrows mischievously. I just laughed at him. Ron was about to bring everyone's plates when I closed my eyes and said a few words. Snapped my fingers and our plates were in front of us. "Thanks Ron!" I told him. "You're welcome ma'am." He answered with a shocked look on his face. Apparently no one told him I'm a witch. Everyone else said thanks to Ron and to me. Then we ate. Ron is a pretty good cook. When we were all done. I put the dishes in the sink the same way I brought them to the table, with a snap. I asked Gio if he would accompany me outside in the garden. He nodded and followed me out. Today was beautiful. I could hear the birds chirping, bees buzzing and the water from the pond. The garden was busy, with bees and butterflies. The colors and smells were exhilarating. We walked the stone path until I stopped in front of the pond. I secretly snapped some bread into my hand. As I handed him half, he had a charming look on his face. "Look at you, using your magic openly. I'm happy for you." He told me. "Thank you." I answered back, while tearing some of the bread off and tossing it into the pond for the fish. I decided to mess with Gio a little. I then added, "I don't wanna stay here at the Alpha house anymore.” He threw his bread into the water and got down on his knees. Grabbed my hand. “Please stay with me. Don't go!” He pleaded. “Please stay a little longer. I'll do anything.” I was in kind of a shock from what just happened but it was adorable. I stood him up and looked into his eyes. I felt so bad, almost brokenhearted, and yet happy when I saw a tear wanting to escape his eyes. I held his face with my hand and told him, "I'm not going anywhere but your house. If you'll have me?" He hugged me by the waist, lifted me up and swung me around. I wrapped my arms around his neck and giggled. “Yes. A million times yes.” he yelled. You would think I just asked him to marry me. He was so happy. He brought us back down to earth. He cupped my face, slowly and passionately kissed my lips. I felt a tingling through my whole body. It was like having an orgasm with no contact but my lips. How does he do that to me? We stayed outside for a little longer to enjoy the scenery. And each other. Once inside I let Josie know that I would be staying at Giovanni's house for now. That way we can get to know each other and for her to get to know Sam. Josie and Sam told me they were happy for me and gave me a big hug. Now I really am starting to feel like I’m getting married. I’m just missing the ring. Gio and I went upstairs to get my things. This time I did magically get my things ready, so he couldn’t sneak a peek. He took hold of my bags and we went back downstairs to head next door. If I had remembered the inside of his house better I could have used magic to get us there. Oh well, I guess we’re hoofing it next door. Once we got me into a room that wasn’t Gio’s. He’s still pouting about it. I sent Jen a text to make sure that she was okay and to let her know that we were having fun. I got my stuff ready and met Josie outside. Since the boys had to work today, we were having a girls lunch at the lake. Luckily, Sam and Gio had a couple of 4wheelers we could borrow for the day. We strapped our things to the 4wheelers and jumped on. We raced through the woods to the lake. Josie beat me by a hair. We parked near some big rocks by the lake. Jumped off and got our stuff unpacked. We laid a big blanket out on the beach area and put our stuff to the side. “You wanna go surfing?” I asked with a wink. “How are we gonna… Never mind. I forgot. You’ll help?” “Ya.” Unfortunately, Josie knows I won’t get in very deep because I’m Thalassophobic. Deep or large bodies of water scare the crap out of me. Which is weird because I can do a lot of water magic. I grabbed a small tree branch and turned it into a surfboard for Josie. “Ok. Here.” I handed her the surfboard. “Go to the middle and I’ll start the waves.” “OK. Not too big though.” I nodded. When Josie got to the middle, I walked into the water till it was up to my calves. I chanted while moving my hands in a circular motion. The waves started coming little by little till they were over 5feet high. Josie said that was good. It was kind of hard making the waves and helping Josie balance so she wouldn’t fall off. But it was great training for me and it was fun. After about 30 minutes, I brought Josie in on the surfboard. We ate lunch and laid on the beach talking for a while. I don’t even know how much time passed. We packed up and headed back. Josie’s POV “Today was awesome, Dom.” I said getting off the 4wheeler. “Do you guys wanna come over for dinner tonight?” “No. I think Gio and I need to talk and maybe have a night to ourselves.” her cheeks turned red. I giggled a little. “Ya. Maybe Sam and I should too.” We looked at each other and laughed. And started to hug but all of a sudden Dom’s arms dropped to her sides. I backed up. I dropped my things and put my hands over my mouth. “Dom! Dom!” I stared at her in shock. She was just standing there stiff as a board and her eyes… Her eyes were white and then she started chanting something but I couldn’t understand it. “Sam! Gio!” I yelled. A few seconds later, her eyes turned back to normal. “Josie…” She said and then passed out. Sam and Gio came running. “What happened?” Gio asked. “I don’t know.” I said. I tried to explain what happened in detail the best I could. Gio picked Dom up and took her to her bed. Sam mind linked the doctor and told him to get to the Beta’s house NOW! The doctor was there in minutes and I tried to explain again to him what happened today. He checked her out and said, “She’s fine. More than likely she exhausted herself doing magic. I’ll be back in a little while to check on her again. Can you make sure he has calmed down before that,” He said, pointing his thumb over his shoulder at Gio. ”I don’t need a rabies shot.” Gio growled at him. He was in the bed next to Dom, still holding her. I sat at the end of the bed. I’m so scared. She’s never done anything like this before that I know of. And when she said my name before she passed out, I could see fear in her eyes. Just remembering brought tears to mine. She’s my best friend and like a sister to me, I don’t know what I would do if I lost her. Sam came up behind me and tried to calm me. “I sent for some things, food and drinks so that we can stay here with Dom.” He told me. “Thank you Samuel.” I said. Hours passed. The doctor came back to check on Dom again but said, “Everything is the same and she is fine physically. I believe she may have just exhausted her mind and body with the magic she was doing. Honestly, I don’t know much about witches. I’ll be back first thing in the morning to check on her again.” “Thank you doctor.” I said, but I don’t think that’s it. I know Dom. She would have told me if she felt tired. Two more days passed before she woke up. I was sitting at the end of the bed, leaning back on one of the bed posts, when…
