Another Monday Morning
Jake and Emmett were the ones to finish their shift first. They popped over by the ER to see how Adam was doing. “I have quite a bit of paperwork to finish up. But then I’ll be done.” He told them while he typed on a laptop at the nurses’ station. Then he paused and looked at them. “Have you heard from Mitch? I haven’t seen much from him.” Adam asked. Emmett replied, “He had a few bookings to deal with this weekend. One was a drunk who tried to knife him. So, I bet he has a mountain of paperwork, too.” Adam nodded returning to his laptop. Jake asked, “Did you guys notice that Jade texted us abnormally early in the morning?” Adam nodded again. “I did.
