Dereck

Lets get it over with, I thought. 

“Hello my name is Dereck and I am a shape shifter just like you.”

“A what?? Shape… what do you mean?”

“Skin- walker or shape- shifter .. Never heard of these terms?” I nodded at Connor and he was ready to interfere and delete her memories if needed.

She looked confused and frightened, so I decided to show her what I meant. Unbuttoning my white shirt she started so scream “p*****t get him out of here” but I continued to get undressed until I had only my underwear on me. Fur started to grow from all parts of my body and my bones started to break. I learned to live with this agonizing pain and decided to ignore it in order to look stronger and impress the girl a little bit. Her eyes widened and she was white as a sheet of paper.

“Wh.. what aa..are you?”

Connor stepped forward and transmitted the thoughts I was sending him trough our pack link.

“He is a Siberian tiger silly.” I growled at him for calling her silly and he continued.

“A shape- shifter or skin- walker is a person who can turn into his or her spirit animal and my dear Dereck here can turn into this form”, he waves wildly with his hands. She just looked at me with wonder and I decided to take a step forward to see how she might react. She didn’t even flinch, and I held my head up to her hand. Her warm hand started to pet me, and I couldn’t stop purring like a cat. Connor was laughing at me and I bared my teeth at him to shut him up.

“Every skin- walker has an ability some even have two of these gifts and to get to the point we are here to protect mankind.” Conner looked at me and said, “Man Dereck you don’t have to explain everything at once, make it short and let us see if she is worth our time first.”

I decided to shift back and punch Connor in the gut for cutting all the important info into shreds and just telling what he wanted to. The girl was still in bed and didn’t say a word. She just stared at me and I looked down to notice my naked form. Turning red like a tomato I took a bedsheet and tried to cover myself up.
