CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR Chloe had been required to undergo what the students had referred to as “morgue time” during her second year of classes, mostly to get used to the idea of having to look over dead bodies for evidence and clues. It had been an uncomfortable experience, but it hadn’t really bothered her. What she discovered when she met Greene at the morgue to look over Martin’s body was that those classes were one thing—and being up close and personal with a freshly dead body—one she had recently met while still alive, at that—was a completely different situation.
