Jim could be cracking up with all the glaring differences. He first denied the murder of Gareth, and then seemed to want to take responsibility for it. Recently, his beliefs and statements seemed to shift and change frequently, without any clear pattern or logic. One minute, his hair was a lighter shade of yellow, almost like the sun shining through the leaves of a tree. And the next minute, it was a darker shade, almost like the gold of a sunset. It was as if his hair couldn't decide what color it wanted to be, as if it was constantly changing.
