The air was full of cheers and laughter.the grown-ups were with trival matters leaving us kids to play. I didn't feel like playing. so I sat on the steps near the front porch, my mind drowning in thoughts I wasn't supposed to have "Ella won't you play with your cousins?you seem troubled my dear.what's the problem?". Mom's voice startled me. Did she noticed? "No mum I'm fine, I'm just tired", I said, avoiding her eyes. l couldn't let her see it ."okay my dear, if you need anything call me"she said smiling as she joined the others.
