Ch 15 Shift

Chapter 15

•XOILA•

“This was fun mate” I laid there as the feeling returned to my body

I felt everything that just happened come back as the wolfsbane wore off I sat up feeling heavy and I looked at the ground my clothes were torn. Fresh tears formed in my eyes and then I heard him speak

“Put this on and go back to your room” he tossed a long black T-Shirt at me, “And don’t worry dear I won't mark you...yet,” he said caressing my face.

I feel sick

“Now leave I need to shower”

I got up and pulled on the shirt, and opened his office door as he closed his bathroom door. I looked into the hall and saw that there was no one there I walked out and closed the door. I walked through the halls that were deathly quiet with only the moonlight illuminating them. I could my tears finally overflow as I made my way to the basement.

As I made my way down the stairs I could feel the blood running down my legs. I could feel the tears run down my face 

How will I ever face them...Did Zari feel what Cadmar did? 

Did Stacy feel...the pain I felt? 

How would I ever face my mate now… Would they ever want to be with me? 

Then I felt a presence in my mind but couldn't focus because I could feel my chest tightening like I couldn’t breathe, as I walked I tried to take deep breaths as the tears blurred my vision. 

I couldn’t breathe it was like I was underwater and it was filling my lungs suffocating me. I started to panic as the constrictions in my chest became more frequent and painful. 

I could feel myself about to lose it and then I bumped into a wall and let out a soft whimper as I fell on my butt.

“Xoila?” I saw that the wall spoke and looked up and saw a very worried Zen 

“What happened to you?” he held out his hand and helped me up. 

I heard footsteps and saw Stacy she looked shocked and at a loss for words as the tears started to roll down her face. 

I turned to look at Zari who looked like she was about to break “Did… Cadmar do this to you?”  I flinched at the mention of his name I looked at her meeting her gaze. 

I felt the tears form in my eyes I closed them and slumping to the floor because I didn’t know what to say “Xoila?” I looked up and saw her glossy eyes she was kneeling now next to me she moved my hair out of my face and hugged me.

“I Zariah Valu reject Cadmar Noir as my mate and alpha” I looked at her and my tears overflowed “I-I’m so s-sorry Zari” as I cried harder “It’s not your fault Xo” Stacy walked over and kneeled beside us “I'm sorry Xo” she hugged us and then I looked at her now more serious than ever

“It’s time to go...Orys waiting”

They both nodded and we all stood up Zen was confused but followed because we are all headed to our rooms. Zen walked silently and followed closely behind, he seemed pensive once we reached the door to my and Stacy's room an Idea popped into my mind “Zen why don’t you go change and pack a few things were leaving” He didn’t seem to hesitate just gave a curt nodded and ran to his room “I need to shower” I staggered and they caught me “Xoila do you want us to help”

•STACY•

She shook her head and whispered “I don’t want you to see me this way” as she said that she walked in and closed the door. I looked at Zari and she said “She just needs time”

I sighed thinking that maybe she might need space I looked at the time 12:15 am and realized we had to go soon. I could feel another presence in my mind but ignored it as we quickly changed and made sure our bags were ready to go. I heard a quiet Knock on the door and saw that Zen was back and had a backpack on. I looked at the time and it was 12:30 am Xoila walked out of the bathroom as well and fully dressed.

I could feel her emotions defeat, guilt, heartbreak, shame, each hitting hard, and turning to depression. I picked up my bag and picked up hers and handed it to her, then all her emotions vanished and she smiled and looked at Zen “Look at you dressed in all black ready to go” 

he smiled and then put on a black beanie on her head, then did the same to Zari who had just finished tying her shoes, then he put one on my head and then pushed his hair back and put one on as well. Zari laughed picking up her bag and said: “If I didn’t know any better I’d say that we look like we're about to rob a bank.”

Xoila giggled and then opened the door to the room we all walked out and she closed the door locking it behind her. Then she linked us and her eyes glowed gold as she sent this link

‘Mask your scents and let's get the hell out of here’

I looked over at Zen who looked a little confused and then he linked

‘Did you just mind-link me Xo?’

‘She did’ I said rather happily

‘Stacy!’

‘Pretty cool huh Zen?’ Zari chimed in

‘why is it that you can all link each other?’

‘Well maybe it’s because we're like our own pack’

‘That makes sense’

‘Well welcome to our unofficial pack… We don’t quite have a name for it yet Zen but we have to get out of here’ said Xoila

We masked our scents and Xo helped Zen perfect it I guess I mean he did catch on very quickly... who knows it might be due to the ability Fae gave us. Maybe we might have some sort of manipulation ability as well. I guess we’ll find out when we shift, 

HOLY SMOKES WE’RE GONNA SHIFT TODAY!

My excitement grew as we continued through the halls quietly, I went up ahead going up the stairs to check to see if anyone was up. I looked around and no one seemed to be in sight and so I motioned for them to move ahead.

We all filed into the kitchen and instead of the door that leads out to where a truck delivers the packs food supplies and other shipments. We opened the window in the kitchen because the window wouldn’t activate the alarm system (no alarms on the windows? What kind of flawed system is this?) and I took a peek to see if there was anyone around who would see us. After seeing that there was no one in sight I hopped out. Zen hopped out after me and help Zari out and then Xo jumped out like the floor was lava or something. Then she looked at us

‘Let's go’

Then she took off running we all shared a look and then took off as well. Much to my surprise Zen was a very fast runner Zari was too they were almost as fast as Xoila and me but we do need to control our speed so we don’t leave Zen and Zari behind.

•XOILA•

I ran I couldn’t help but let that other presence in my head finally break threw it had been trying to break through since before I had gotten back to my room. 'Hello?’ All of a sudden I heard a howl and felt my body start to burn I stopped running and everyone did as well. 

Then it felt like my bones began to snap and I fell to the ground. My eyes began to water and I looked over at Stacy who was on the ground I closed my eyes and I could feel as my bones popped and cracked then began to re-align. 20 minutes passed and then all the pain stopped.

I looked up at Zari and Zen who looked at us in amazement. I looked over at Stacy and saw her wolf she got up as well and looked at me her eyes when wide and she yipped happily. Her fur was Sandy brown with caramel brown and white splotches scattered over her fur one smack on her, Pale blue and green colored eyes looking like a mask. 

‘You’re beautiful Stacy’ I told her 

‘My name is Mai...It's nice to meet you’ she responded in a lull yet spunky voice my eyes widen and then I heard ‘And I am Isa it is wonderful to finally meet you Human’

I linked my small pack ‘What does Isa look like?’ ‘

Oh Xo she looks beautiful’ said Zari

‘She’s a silver almost white colored wolf, Royal blue eyes’ replied Stacy happily her eyes sparkling and she said ‘Zari Zen shift I wanna see your wolves’

“I don’t see why not and were faster in wolf form” Said Zari then Zen said

“Sure I’ll just go behind this tree... but after taking a gander we do have to leave the territory soon… we still need about 30 miles till we reach the pack's border”

Isa/Myself nodded our head and Mai/Stacy did as well

He moved away and walked towards a nearby, Zari did the same going in the opposite way. Zen shifted and came out with his clothes in his snout. He was a large Fox red wolf with deep blue eyes who then he linked ‘The names Welly pleasure to meet you both..been itching to come out’ he said with a wolfish grin.

‘Welly you're bigger than the average wolf...why might I ask?’

He looked at me the question in his eyes before answering ‘We’re meant to be protectors... warriors My boy and I but the boy... Zen didn’t want to challenge authority and would rather wait for someone more deserving of our loyalty’

‘There should be no problem then we need all the protection we can get once we leave pack territory’

‘Then Miss Xoila Zen and I would like to pledge our loyalty to you’

I don't know what to say and looked at Stacy/Mai who just seemed to have an idea pop into their head as their eyes got a mischievous gleam

‘Zari and I would like to as well’

I looked over and saw Bree Zari’s wolf she was tawny brown with bright Lavender eyes.

‘Guys’

‘Just Accept it Human we have to be united now’ Isa and I couldn’t say no as I looked into all of their eyes.

‘Zariah Valu as my new pack doctor, Zen Keyes as my new Delta, and Stacy Noir as my beta Do you promise to protect one another and accept me as your new alpha?’

‘Yes alpha’ They said all in unison

‘Then welcome to the Fae moon pack’ I said and felt a shift go in all of us as we formed our own pack. The old link cutting our ties with the Stark Pine pack and a new one forming.  

‘Let's go to our new home’ They all nodded and each picked up our things and we took off running as they let out howls of happiness.

We reached the pack border and as we crossed I could feel a new surge of power as we were finally leaving this horrible place. I let out a howl of promise as we ran reminding our mothers and fathers that the Fae Moon Pack would be back someday.

We ran at full speed and I could smell an ocean breeze mixed with mint and pine a scent I hadn’t gotten to smell in years and I knew he was there ‘Orys here!!!’ I yipped happily and they all howled in response as we ran past a few more trees and into a clearing where we saw him.

“Xoila!!!” He said happily smiling his million-dollar smile I shifted not caring that I was in my birthday suit and ran to hug him. He took off his coat and wrapped me in it and then hugged me picking me off the ground. I clung to him for dear life and giggled “Ory you're so tall when did that happen? What are you 6’7?” he laughed his deep hardy laugh and spun me “Still as curious as ever XoXo. I'm actually 6’9” he smiled as he responded in his deep husky voice.

“Okay put me down and let me introduce you to my pack” I looked at him and couldn’t help but smile at how handsome he became he was tall (Obviously!) and had a lean build, broad shoulders, wild jet black long hair that was in a messy bun at the top of his head. Sharp defined features very Tan skin a goatee and, ice blue almost white eyes. He looked at me expectantly and said: “Well let me meet your Pack Alpha Ardent” pain flash through me as he mentioned my parents' last name and asked, “We go by the Fae moon pack and...Can I... uh, go by Savage Ory?”

“Sure you can we're family after all... and I can't be the only Savage,” he said with a smirk and then I spoke 

“Okay Oris Savage well I would like to introduce Stacy Noir my beta,” I said as she walked up and a big smile appeared on her face and he said 

“Beta Noir it's great to see you” she was already fully clothed as she ran to hug Ory “It’s been so long” 

“It has little Dyad” then Zen walked out 

“Ory you remember Zen Keyes My Delta” they looked at each other and gave each other a bro hug and said in unison 

“I missed you best friend” and then they laughed as tears Formed in Zen’s eyes and Oris just ruffled his hair.

Then finally Zari walked out “And my pack Doctor Zari Valu” 

She smiled and hugged Oris as well 

“Bright eyes I missed you” she giggled "I missed you too Savage" and then a very handsome human walked up and said “Teniente nos Tenemos que ir oh se nos va ir el Avion” Oris gave a curt nod and I link my pack members 

‘the human just said “Lieutenant we have to leave or our plane will leave without us” so get your things and let's move out’ They all gave a nod and Linked 'Aye aye Alpha'

I couldn’t help but giggle at their silliness as they moved to get our things. I wrapped the coat on tighter and then looked at Oris “ I’ll change when we get to the plane” he looked like he didn’t want me to but gave in because we had to go. 'When we get the chance we need to talk Xo' I gave him a slight nod and he took my bag and Stacy's from Stacy. Zen picked up his and Zaris and we all walked up to the Black Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

Oris when to sit shotgun next to the handsome human who was the driver. Stacy, Zari, and I all hopped in the back seats and poor Zen had to hop into the trunk but only had to place our bags around himself still having a good amount of room to be comfy. He looked up at me and tossed me the Motorola 

'You might want to hold on to this'

'Thank you Zen'

'No problem Alpha'

I looked in ahead as we drove away towards our freedom...
