Andrew's POV: I woke up in my beautiful mate's arms the next morning. I couldn't have been happier. "Time to get up, Rosa," I whispered in her ear. "Mmm... five more minutes please?" she asked sleepily. "No, baby, you gotta get up, your dad should be here soon," I said getting out of bed. "Ugh, fine. Can you leave so I can get dressed?" she asked me polietly. "Of course, princess," I said. "I'll be outside your door, I promise." I left her room to go call Ryan and see how he's doing with the adjustments with the palace and the pack. I dialed his personal number and waitied for him to pick up. "Future Beta Ryan speaking, how can I help you?" he said when he answered the phone. "Ry, it's me," I said. "Hey, how's it going with Princess Rose?" he asked. "It's great, she met Midnight," I said," but that's not why I called. How's the merger going? Anyone trying to ight it?" "Uh, yea. A few of the unmated females are ok with it, our head warrior, Jacob, doesn't like the idea of and his words not mine, 'I'm not moving my whole family just 'cause some leech is our Alpha's mate, even if she is royalty...' I told him I'd talk to you about other options," he said. "Okay, well, let me talk to my mom and give the pack an option. They can either move with us, as a pack and family, or they can renounce our pack and find a new one they can join," I said. "We'll get this igured out. Any other problems?" "No, the vampires are more than willing to help build the townhomes and apartments and Queen Deseme has been more than helpful with adding a new slightly smaller palace for our packhouse, she even suggested not building a new packhouse and just adding another wing to the palace to be used for our offices and rooms for the unmated young wolves who don't want to stay with their parents. We discussed building a new training gym for the warriors for both our pack worriors and the vampire worriors. Your mom sent over the blueprints from our training gym and I showed the to Queen Deseme, she said we could use the blueprint and make it three stories tall. The top floor for vampire, second floor for wolves, and the bottom floor for both speicies wanting to train together," he said. "That's great news Ry! I knew leaving you with the vampires would be a better use for your time," I said teasing him. "Well, I gotta go, Rose is done getting dressed and is waiting for me to getdressed so we can go and meet her dad." We hung up after our usual good-byes. "Rosa, how long have you been standing there?" I asked her. "Long enough to hear that my mother is wanting to build a new training center for 'leeches' and wolves to train together," she said. "Rosa, you should know that Jacob means no disrespect to you, your family, or your kingdome. He just doesn't agree with the merger," I said. "I know, Drew. I'm not upset. I'm not entirely privy to having a bunch of pups moving into my kingdome. I don't mind having our species mixed together, but if some wolves from your pack don't want to move, then I'm okay with that. I like the idea of giving them a choice, and I'm proud of you. You deserve a reward, now close your eyes," she said. I did as I was told, and felt the softest lips kiss my cheek. "Open your eyes, beloved," she whispered in my ear. As soon as I opened my eyes, she was standing right in front of me, her beautiful gold eyes looking up at me through her lashes. "How can someone so beautiful be so deadly?" I asked her. "You haven't seen deadly. Now, we should probably head downstairs before my dad comes up here looking for me," she said. We walked down the stairs hand in hand, and met her father in the entry way. "King Kieren," I said, "how was the flight?" "It was wonderful, thank you. I take it you got here safeky then?" he asked me. "Yes, sir, we did. Princess Rose suggested we take the ferry instead of flying, she wanted to drive," I said. "You have my permission, love, to call me by name when speaking with my parents," Rose told me. "Daddy, don't give him that look. He was a gentleman the entire trip. He didn't even try to kiss me. We talked to aunty when we got in and then went upstairs to bed," Rose told her father. "Sweetheart, it's my job to look after you," King Kieren said. "Rosa, it's alright. I understand where he's coming from," I told her. We finished our conversation and moved to the dinning room for breakfast. "Roselynn, please tell your pet to sit on the floor, Queen Katherine does not like dogs sitting at the table," one of the servants told Rose. "One, it's Princess Roselynn to you, second, he's her mate. You have two choices slave, either treat him with respect or get the hell out," Queen Katherine said. "But, your majesty, he's a wolf. He doesn't belong at the table," the servant replied. "Watch who you're calling a dog, slave. Just because you work for me, does not mean that you can disrepect my company. You have no voice in the matter. You have no say in who can and cannot sit at my table," she said visibly pissed off. "Y-yes your majesty," he stammered. "You are herby banished from my home and kingdome. Your belonings stay here, you gave up all rights to your personal things when you asked for this job, Kole," she said. "Yes, your majesty," Kole said and left quickly. "I apologize, Andrew. Kole had no right to say what he did," she told me. "It's quite alright ma'am. I wasn't in the least bit offended," I reasured her. After the incident with the servant, we all ate/ drank our breakfast in peace. The vampires in attendance obviously had some form of blood while I had an omlet with steak, cheese and I think it was parsley. After breakfast we went to Queen Katherine's library to discuss our further plan of action. "Okay, first things first. We know why Queen Josslynn attacked my mom, but we still don't know why she tried to declare war on our kingdome," Rose said. "What do you, as a ruling family, have that she does not?" I asked. "Well, for starters, my dad has my mom, which she hates. My mother did not come from a roayl background and she thinks that that alone should be reason enough for my family to be stripped of our royal status. Queen Josslynn has always had it out for my mom beacuase of that. She still thinks it's not fair that my dad married my mom and not Azalea, even though she knows Azalea is a spoiled brat and doesn't deserve to be queen. And if Elder Robert has anything to say about it, she will never be queen," Rose said. "Should we call the Council?" I asked "Not yet. They won't get involved with royal business unless it's a life or death matter or another royal family declares war on another family. They uphold our laws amd doesn't let anyone get away with anything," Rose said. "We should probably call them just in case," King Kieren said. "Yes, father, I know. We can call them this afternoon. Have you spoken to mom yet?" she asked him. "Yes, I have. She says that Ryan is doing an amazing job help direct our workers in building the new training building and that some of the wolves have already started build the townhomes and apartments for their pack members. Her and Ryan agreed to add an extention to the palace that will be just for the ranking wolves for their offices and rooms, with enough room for the unmated wolves that are old enough to move out of their parents' homes. Obviously, the extention will be mostly for thier offices and thier families, but we have full access to any of the unclaimed offices just as much as the three high ranking wolves will have access to our offices. Yours and Andrew's offices will be conjoined with a door seperating the two so you can work in peace if you so choose or leave the door open.," he said. Ater we got everything figured out for both our currant problem with Queen Josslynn and her daughter, and the merger of our pack and Rose's kingdome, Rose and I went for a walk around her aunt's gardens. "It's nice having someone I can talk to who won't treat me like royalty all the time," Rose said. "I'll still treat you like royalty, Rose. You are still a Princess before you're my mate," I told her. "Andrew, I'll be Queen soon, I don't expect you to always treat me as such. I am your equal, not just your mate," she said. "I know, dear," I said sitting down on a bench by one of the many water ountains. "I really appreciate you coming out here with me Andrew. It's nice to just get away for a while," she said. "I wouldn't have it any other way. Come here," I said wrapping my arms around her waist and pulled her to me. "You're not gonna try to kiss me are you?" she asked sweetly. "Not unless you want me to," I said with a smirk on my face. "Tempting, darling, tempting," she said smirking right back. "I'm not gonna kiss you unless you ask me to," I said. "Ah, the perect gentleman," she said teasing me. "You better believe it. I've never slept with a girl, let alone kissed one," I said being completely honest. "Wow, why not? Someone of your build and smile and charm, I was sure you would've had at least one girlfriend," she said surprised. "I wanted all of my firsts to be with my mate and not some power hungry himbo," I said. "So, I won't have to worry about any jealous exes?" she asked. "Nope. Maybe a few jealous she-wolves because I never gave them the time of day, but that's it. I promise Rosa," I told her. "Good. I'd hate to have to rip the throat out of some girl's neck because she wants to try to get handsy with my beloved," she said. "I am very territorial about what belongs to me. I have absolutly no problem ending someone else's life because they wanted to touch what isn't theirs." "Understandable. Is there anyone I should worry about, then Rosa?" I asked her. "No, just my guard, Aaron, he's been there for me through everything and treats me like his little sister. Him and his beloved, Jeremy, are family. Jeremy was already wary of me because Aaron and I are so close, he thought I was competition. Aaron cleared that right up and we've been thick as theives since," she said, her smile reaching her eyes. "Okay, then. After we handle Queen Josslynn and her w***e of a daughter, we'll have our mating ceremony?" I asked, trying to be polite. "I'd like nothing more than to be mated to you for all eternity, my pup," she said making me smile. "So, it's settled then. We'll mate and mark each other after everything settles down and the pack and your kingdome get used to living together," I said. "I'd like that," she said and laid her head on my shoulder. We got off the bench and started heading back inside to continue working on a game plan on what to do about Josslynn and her daughter Azalea.
