Chapter 4

Lily pov

The last week passed with a lot of work. With Chris, we texted and talked on the phone but we didn’t manage to go out on a date. I have to finish my work at the bazaar so I can leave to spend my Christmas holidays with my parents. But that didn’t stop him. He texts and calls every day to tell him how I am. And since he knows where I work he sends me every day flowers. Today he has a photo shoot for the magazine and he says he will pass by my office to see me. I still can’t believe that this happened to me. Chris is a gorgeous guy and the more I meet him more I see he is wonderful as a person too.

“Lily. Charlotte line one” Ava says and I pick up my phone

“Yes Charlotte”

“Sorry to tell you last minute but Mateo has the photoshoot with Chris Blake today but he calls that he is sick. I need you to take over. The brands have all arrived at the studio. I don’t think you have a problem working with your boyfriend” When we were at the club and then later before we entered his car, the paparazzi managed to take photos and the next day my image was everywhere. They haven’t stopped teasing me since then.

“Ok. No problem. I will be down in a while”

“Blake arrives in two hours,” she says laughing, and soon the call ends. I finished some appointments organized a few things and went to the studio.

“Hi, guys,” I say to the team.

“Hey. The brands are here and here is the story of the photo shoot”

“Thanks,” I say and I start to fix the clothes. They want a casual and affordable Chris so I end up with some jeans and casual pants with T-shirts and sneakers. I write the brands so they will be printed in the magazine. Soon Chris walks into the place and all the girls turn around and look at him. He is with his manager and he focuses on him. But then he looks around and his eyes fall on me.

“Girl all in here want to eat him alive but he stares only at you,” Valerie says

“Stop it. You go to your spot, soon he will come to do your magic” I tell her and she smiles

“I don’t need to do much. But know this. Everyone here they jealous of you. Be careful” she says leaving. The truth is that he is perfect. I have seen him in the morning and he is the sexiest man I know. As for jealousy, I know. Most girls here look at me with fire in their eyes. He walks closer to me smiling

“Hi,” he says kissing me on the cheek

“Hi. How are you?”

“I’m good. You didn’t tell me that you would dress me today”

“My colleague is sick so they ask me to come”

“Awesome,” he says.

“No, your colleague has been sick. But because we will work together” he says and I giggle. I show them what he will wear and I take him to Valerie

“This is Valerie. She will do the makeup”

“Nice to see you again. We met at the club”

“Yeah. Nice to see you again.” She says and Chris sits down. I took the clothes to the room that he would be changing during the photo shoot and when I returned Val had already finished

“I will show you the changing room,” I tell him and I say to follow me. I saw him at the door and he took my hand and he pushed me inside.

“Chris I can’t...” he stopped me by taking my lips on his. Sweet Lord, he tastes so good.

“I’m sorry. But I missed you” he says and I smile

“I missed you too,” I say and he gives me one more kiss

“I would like that to continue but I can’t do that now. I’m not allowed to be in here”

“One more kiss,” he says and he kisses me again. f**k I’m in big trouble. After the mind-blowing kisses, he let me go. After about an hour the photo shoot is over and I have to fix the clothes to their places

“You have time after work?” I hear Chris from behind me.

“Oh. I’m leaving at about seven but I have worked at home too”

“Yes, the bazaar. Can I take you for dinner? And then I will take you home” he says and he looks at me

“Just dinner. I promise”

“Ok. I can have a break for you” I say

“Yes, “ he says celebrating. I laughed and after the kiss, he left.

After I finished I texted Chris that I was finished with work and he said that in ten minutes he would be outside. I say my goodnights and when I exit the magazine building I see Chris waiting for me outside. I walk closer to him

“Am I late?” I ask

“No I just came here,” he says and opens the car door for me.

“You will drive tonight?”

“Yes. I wanted to be just you and me” he says and closes the door. He walks to the other side of the car. He wears all black tonight. Is sexier in black. Dangerous sexy.

“So where are we going?” I ask

“It’s a surprise,” he says and starts driving. On the way there we make small talk about our day. He asks me how the bazaar going and if I’m excited to see my parents

“Very excited. I have to spend the Christmas holidays with my family for five years. And I saw them last time three years ago and for two days only. Imagine that I have a nephew who is six months old and I haven’t seen him”

“That’s cool. I have to see my nieces for two years. We talk and do FaceTime but is not the same” he says and I agree

“That’s why I’m making the deal with my boss. I have to finish everything by twenty-four” I say looking forward

“That’s a lot of pressure”

“It’s worth it when I see my family after so long,” I say and I smile. He takes my hand in his and kisses it

“At least we are close. I’m hungry” I say and he laughs. I like that laugh, it’s different from that in the movies.

“Yes. Two more minutes” he says and kisses my hand again. After a while, we arrived outside a restaurant. Chris comes around the car and opens the door for me

“Thank you,” I say and he smiles. We walk in and the waitress walks us to a table on the first floor with an amazing view of the town.

“Wow. LA looks beautifully decorated for holidays” I say as Chris helps to sit

“Yeah, I guess. I’m focusing more on you” he says and I giggle

“Thank you. Why the restaurant is empty?”

“The restaurant is mine and I booked it all for us tonight”

“I didn’t know you owned a restaurant”

“I have two. This and one Canada where I’m from. My parents run the restaurant there”

“That’s something I didn’t know about you”

“Only my closest people know” I smile, he considers me as his people

“So what are you eating?” He asks and after we order we continue talking

“After many years I’m free for holidays and I will go see my family too.” He says and I see he is very happy. His eyes shine as he talks about his parents and his twin sisters. They are younger than him and both of them are married. Only the one has two little girls for now. His parents have taken over the restaurant that he has opened there. His sisters own a dance school in town.

“My dad is in the Coast Guard and my mom is a journalist in a newspaper.”

“Your sister?”

“My sister is a nurse and her husband is a policeman. They met in the hospital when Adam was injured on duty”

“Romantic,” he says and I laugh

“Yeah. I know right? I guess sometimes romance there is and in real life” I say and I smile

“They have been together for five years, three married and six months ago they made a cute baby boy,” I say thinking of a thousand pictures of him they had to send me

“That’s great. Emily and Anna are five and two now. Susan and Sawn are so happy”

“Nicole is thinking of having a baby? You tell me is one year married now” I ask, Nicole is his other sister

“Yes. She and Thomas are starting to try. I hope soon we have good news”

“I hope you have soon”

“Thank you” After our dinner and dessert he takes us upstairs to the rooftop. The view is even better and although it is a bit cold is amazing.

“Are you cold?” He asks

“No. I’m good with my jacket. It’s not so cold tonight”

“No. Is perfect weather” he says and I feel his hands hug me from behind

“Thank you for saying yes tonight”

“Trust me I’m happy that I say yes too. Even if I’m behind my schedule I’m glad I’m here” I say and I turn my head to look at him. He smiles and turns all my body around. He cups my face and he kisses me. With pleasure, I kiss him back.

“This is the best date I ever had,” he says resting his forehead on mine. Oh my God, I didn’t realize it until he said. We are on a date, I’m on a date with Chris. I guess some dreams come true. I look at him in his eyes and he smiles. I love his smile, is warm and relaxed. I feel good, secure, and complete. Is this possible I met him about a week ago, and I had mind-blowing s*x with him. Then we communicated on the phone and now I’m on a date with him. In one week I felt something I never felt before even when I was in relationships for a longer time. How did that happen?
