(April’s POV)
Unfortunately, we didn’t catch that intruder. But Nír is coming into the pack-house to have lunch with us so I’m making some special dishes for her. I think she’ll like them. Especially my ‘hot salad’ which is more like mixed vegetables than a salad. I make each vegetable a different way so they all have their own flavor. Then, once I begin to mix them, the different flavors come together nicely.
Along with that I’m serving roasted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and fluffy cheddar cheese biscuits. The kids are having my homemade chicken nuggets with mac n’ cheese. It’s one of Caster’s favorites and I’m sure Willow will love it. She seems to be thoroughly enjoying the school food because it’s a lot of foods she’s never even heard of before.
