BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Ughhh! Cassandra hated that stupid alarm clock. Yes, after she woke up she was a morning person but the intial waking up she hated. The only good thing was today was friday! Which meant that tommorrow she could sleep in, yeah like that would ever happen but she can hope right? She smelled the aroma of coffee brewing in her kitchen she pulled herself out of her bed. After making a cup the excat way she likes she sat in her oversized chair that was facing the outside world. The ten foot floor to celing windows was the best feature of her apartment. She loved watching the world from her second floor apartment. It used to be an old textile mill that was renovated into beautiful apartments. The black metal and dark wood gave it an open modern anquie vibe to it. She fell in love with it the minute she stepped inside of it. It was on the outskirts of town and had everything she wanted. It had a swimming pool, entertainment room with thearter chairs, a workout room, and a track that ran thru the field next door. It was a three acre field with a stream that ran almost in the middle of it. It had weeping willow trees with there long branches that flowed just barely over the water. She loved watching them when the wind was blowing. It was like they was dancing and calling to her soul to come touch them. She has sat here many times just watching the people and families come here for pinics and playing in the sun. Everyone loved the bridge that went over the stream where you could see all kinds of fish. The thick forest was just on the outskirts of the field and the stream contuined thru it. This was her favoritate place to run when she had the time to do so. She finished her cup of coffee when her phone went off. "Hello?" Cassandra asked. "Hey girl, it's me Maria. Could you come in and help us cover please?" Her best friend begged with her sweetest voice. "Did someone not show?" Cassandra was a waitress at the local chain resturant two towns over. "No, Clay just did not schedule anyone besides me to cover this whole place... again! Like I know i'm great at my job but come on you would think after two years in his position he would figured this out by now." Maria said snarkly. "But, he did say if you could come in now and help cover until the evening crew comes in that you can have the night off" Cassandra thought about this for a minute she had not had a friday night off in three weeks now. "Tell Clay he better mean it this time, Give an hour and I will be there." "You are truly a lifesaver girl, plus you know with it being you and me here we will have fun and tips are going to be awesome!" Maria said excitedly. Cassandra just laughed at her best friend "I will see you in just a little bit." Cassandra laughed and hung up. She placed her cup down in the sink and rushed off to the bathroom. Within twenty minutes she had showed, shaved, and applied make up that would compliment her dark green eyes and long raven eyelashes that matched her long raven hair. Her favoriate blue jean work pants and black work shirt with her gold bangle braclets, gold necklace, and gold earrings made her feel cofindent. She worked hard to save the money to buy her own things. After her parents "Accident" she found out quick the way the world worked and she vowed to herself she would never depend on someone for her needs ever again. Cassandra grabbed her phone, pocketbook, keys and ran our the door. She arrived before the rush hit. She locked her 2005 honda civic and told herself "Lets do this!" Maria greeted her with a huge hug and smile when she clocked in to back "Have I told you how much a freakin love you?" "Not in the past tweleve hours but I think I need you to repeat that again" Cassandra joked. She couldn't help but to tease her friend. "I love you and you are going to come out with me tonight and I will make it up to you." Cassandra groaned "Uhhh not so sure about that I got to find a way to break things off with Leo" "Uh Oh I know that look" Maria said "What did he do?" "Nothing there just isn't any chemisty and there is just something kinda off and creepy about him, I can't but my finger on it. Also he has made me paid for every date we went out on, like not just my portion but his too. Then this last time he tried to make a move and nothing. I was like bone dry. My vibator does a better job just thinking about it than him." Cassandra confessed to her best friend. Even though Maria was the one set them up she knew her friend would understand. Maria threw her aurburn hair up in a messy bun. She always looked fablous even without trying she thought to herself. "Well, that's why the best place to do it is at the club, dump him there and then your not alone and you can find someone else that can help a girl out." Maria laughed out loud. Clay came around the corner of the wall where they put in orders and clock in."Cassandra thank you for coming in I hope you two are ready because the rush is here."
