"You can die during the ceremony?" Cassandra asked Luke "What excatly is the ceremony they are talking about?" She asked her friend Maria before Luke could answer. "The ceremony that they are refering too is the mating ceremony during the full moon you would "Mate"" her friend made air quation marks. "During the process you would mark each other, then you would shift into your animal and you finish the bonding process running as wolves. Or so I have been told." Maria said non chanletly. "So, how many times have people died during this process?" Cassandra asked generally concerened now. "It's not common at all actual for the process not to be compeleted. It does hurt the first couple of shifts, but generally the other mate helps with the pain and gives strenth during the bonding." Luke said looking at Cassandra in the eyes. "My first true mate Lucy was beautiful and the first one in over a thousand years to die during the process." Luke said. "Okay so since going to see my tribe is out of the question, we will instead need to seek their help in unlocking her essence and arua I will need to seek the help of my tribe as it will take alot of energy to do this." Maria said looking at Luke and Blake. "Your going to have to trust me on this. She is my family, I will do everything in my power to make this painless and quick." "Okay, fine. I don't like it but for the sake of my mate I will allow this. It will happen on our land and trust me in this. If you cross me I will kill you and your tribe." "I understand you wolf, but if you hurt my family I will rip your heart from your chest and put it on display for ALL of my tribe to see." Maria said sternly. "Well, now that's taking care of who is ready for a road trip?" Blake said trying to disfuse the tension in the room. "Don't worry about needing any clothes everything you may need I will have it gotten for you." Luke said casually. "It's a long trip so I suggest you try to eat a little more because it's a long trip and there isn't many places to stop along the way." Luke said grabbing his cell phone and car keys. " I will meet you two down stairs in ten minutes in front of the hotel." Cassandra stared as she watched him and Blake walk out the door. Excatly eight minutes later Maria and Cassandra walked togather thru the elevator doors with there eyes scanning the room as they walked to the revolving doors. There was a black chevy tahoe with tinted windows waiting out front with Luke standing at the passengener door side with his arms crossed and his grumping look back. Cassandra was thinking that this was his normal look. "I would love for you to ride up front with me but as safety measures I think it will be best if you and Maria ride togather in the back. Plus , that would give you time to rest and heal more." Luke said with a look of concern on his face before it was covered back up with fury. He opened up the door and ushered the two women in the back.As the vechile pulled away Cassandra was thinking to herself how comfrontable the seats was and how she wished shw would have gotten a blanket and pillow of the ride. A small light caught her eye to her left and saw maria opening a small portal with a purple light and pulling out two big pillows and two of the softest blankets she had ever felt. Cassandra thanked her friend and got comfortable. As she thought about all of the day events and all she had learned two things tugged at her. She had a deep feeling in her gut that she always had felt she was more than just normal and two that she hoped she figured it out before Jake or whoever else had a chance to kill her that she could learn what she was and defend herself. A few minutes later sleep pulled her under. Cassandra felt a caloused hand brush against her check it felt nice and left tingles going from her check to her pussy."We are here darlin." Lukes southern accent really coming out. "Where are we excatly?" she asked sleepily. "We are on our land and pack at my house. You will be safe here , but I want you in my bed." Luke demanded. "Excuse me dude, I don't think so I will stay in another room or on your couch. I will not sleep with you." Cassandra said angerily getting in his face. "Where you are I will be. My wolf and I need to be close to you. I understand what you think and yes eventually I would love to make love to you and f**k you so hard that you can't move without thinking of me and it will make you wet as it is right now. However, now is not the time and I will sleep next to you in my wolf form so if any theart arises I will be ready. I WILL NOT LOSE YOU." Cassandra was wet, confused, and comforted all at the same time. She did not understand why but she did trust Luke just like she trusted Maria. She cleared her thorat and said "I trust you will keep me safe in any form." Luke helped her out of the SUV. Luke showed her around the beautiful Log cabin that was two stories tall. she loved the huge fireplace and comfy looking couches. There was a wrap around porch and she could have swore she caught site of a lake when she got out. Luke asked her if she was hungry or thirtsty but all she wanted was a bed to sleep in. Luke showed her the bathroom and even gave her one of his shirts and pajama's After she freshed up to change and use the bathroom, she came back out to a huge king size bed with soft lighting above in the and anquite black metal looking fixture. She bet it used to hold candles instead of lightbulbs. Maria bust thru the doors at this time and said "can you believe this place? " "Your room is alot bigger than mine but I am right next to your room. Luke thought you would feel more comfortable if I was more close by." "Can I trust him?" Cassandra asked her best friend that was a witch. so would that be a witch best friend? She had alot of questions for her friend that would have to wait until tomorrow as sleep was making her eyes heavy. "You can trust him with your life my friend." maria said all seriously. "The bonding process has already started and he can feel your emotions. If he hurts you he hurts himself, plus I will kill him." A hearty laugh came thru the doors as Luke entered that is not nessary,but my mate is tired and needs to rest up for tommorrow." "I'm right next door if you need me." Maria said hugging her friend tightly. There was a uncomfortable feeling in Cassandra gut but she would have to figure that out tomorrow. "I'm going down stairs to shift then I will be right back up here, go ahead and get comfortable" Luke said kissing her forehead. Cassandra got comfortable and just as Luke promised his black wolf came back in and jumped on the bed it licked smelled her head and neck. Cassandra laughed and waved it off. It licked her hand and laid against her legs towards the end of the bed looking at the door on guard. "Goodnight Luke. Cassandra said as she her a low huff from the black wolf.
