Chapter 32

I don't know, but I can feel that a lot has changed ever since I met Sun. It felt like everything was new to me. My eyes almost fell on what he did next. He moved closer to me and moved his head towards my chest. For a second, I felt him touch my skin which is unusual. Panicking, I stood up hurriedly and moved to the couch. "W-what are you doing?" "Checking if you are okay." He smiled. "Why? I am okay, don't worry Sun." I said, forcing a smile so that he wouldn't notice. My heartbeat is still beating faster. "Eh, but I saw you touching your chest earlier." "U-uh, about that, I'm really okay." I said and ran towards the bathroom. What is this feeling? Why did I suddenly get nervous about what he did? I looked at the mirror and my face was really red, as well as my ears. I reached out for my chest and I could feel my heart banging loudly. What am I feeling right now? Calm down, Ray. What's wrong with you? Why are you feeling flustered with his actions? Mysterious as it is, why do I feel like this with Sun? "Ouch!" I pinched my cheeks to snap out of this feeling that I am having right now. I heard someone calling from outside. Sun must have heard me. "Wait, Sun. Give me a minute." I shouted. I washed my face with cold water to ease the redness of my face. I wanted to run away when I saw who was waiting for me in the room. I saw Sun pointing at the man sitting on my bed. It was Miko. "Who the hell are you calling Sun? Who is that?" Miko asked, his face looking weird. He will not stop unless he gets the answer that he wants. Feeling nervous, I don't know what to say. to Miko. I am worried about how he will react if he knows that I can communicate with a soul. "Oh, did I say Sun?" I lied. Earlier, I was nervous because of Sun, but now it is a different one. I don't know what I should say to Miko. "I think you are hiding something, Ray. Tell me, who is Sun." He asked. Instead of answering him, Sun caught my attention. He was beside Miko and he was making weird gestures. He was making gestures, and I cannot get what he was trying to tell me. “What is it?” I mouthed. Sun cannot take it anymore and shout, “Just tell your friend the truth! Besides, he cannot see me. He looked like a puppy again, and I forgot that Miko was still in the room. I cannot help myself, and I ended up bursting into laughter. “What the hell is wrong with you Ray? Are you out of your mind?” Miko exclaimed. Sun and I both froze in our places because of Miko. I guess Sun was right, I should tell Miko about him. I don’t want to lie to him either. “Sorry Miko. Don’t worry, I am fine.” “Really, and why do I feel like you were talking with someone besides me when it’s just the two of us here.” Miko said. “I guess I can’t hide anything from you anymore. About Sun, he is a ghost that stays here in my room.” “Wait? What? Are you out of your mind. Do you think I would believe that?” Miko said, giving me a confused expression. I sighed and sat down on the bed beside him. Sun stood up and went to the couch, giving us space so that Miko and I could talk. He looked at me and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled at Sun in return. “I know it is hard to believe, but listen to Miko. Ever since we arrived here at the farm, I suddenly got tied to a ghost.” “What do you mean tied? I am trying to comprehend what you are telling me right now, but it feels weird, to be honest. How did that happen? And who is this soul that you are talking about.” He said, starting to calm down. I took a few deep breaths before I answered his question. “Do you remember the incident at the Mango Orchard, about the thief?” I asked. “Yes, I do. What about that? Is it connected with the ghost thingy that you are telling me right now.” “Yes, that’s right. I’m sorry if I lied that time, but that was the first time that I bumped into Sun. He was originally staying on the Mango Orchard, but because of our encounter, his soul got tied with me. At first, I tried not to believe what my eyes were seeing, but it was the real deal.” “You said that this Sun was tied to you, do you know the reason why?” “We both don’t know what’s the answer to that. To add to our questions that we are trying to figure out, Sun doesn’t have memories on how he died.” “What? A ghost with amnesia?” “Hard to believe, right? Well, both of us have no other options but to help each other out to figure out what’s the reason behind all of this.” "To be honest, yes. It's really hard to think that you can talk with them. Maybe you are a psychic? I think you should change careers, haha." Miko laughed. The nervousness that I was feeling earlier already loosened up. "Do you want me to exorcise you instead?" "I'm just kidding. But why can't I see him? Where is Sun?" He asked. An idea popped up into my mind. Let's tease Miko now. I cannot help but not smile. I just laughed in response. Miko looked around, trying to check the presence of the other person aside from us. "Where is he?" Miko asked again. I can feel that he was getting nervous already. Sun must have caught on with what I am trying to do, and he laughed. "Beside you." I said. In an instant, Miko jumped out of the bed and ran towards me. I bursted out laughing because of his reaction. "Cut it out, Ray." He said. "I didn't know that you are afraid of ghosts, my dear friend." "Okay, fine. I freaked out when you said that he was beside me. "Sorry about that. Sun is not there, he is sitting on the couch." I said, pointing at the direction of the couch. "Oh, okay. I can't see anything." "Silly, of course. Unless you wanted to see him. Do you like to sleep here in my room instead?" "No, I don't want to. You stay here." "Okay, fine. I'm just kidding, haha. So do you want me to introduce you to him? "How?" Miko asked. "That's easy. I'll introduce you first. Sun, this is Miko, my best friend. Miko, that is Sun, though you can see him." I said, pointing in each direction. "N-nice to meet you, Sun." He said, and waved in the direction of the couch. "Please tell your friend that it's nice to meet him too." Sun smiled. I looked at Miko and told him that Sun wanted him to know that it was nice to meet him too. After clearing out things, Miko decided to leave the room. He forgot about his agenda and why he went here. Dinner! "Sun, is it okay if you wait here? I'll just eat then I will go back here as soon as I can." "Sure. Don't rush things, Ray. Eat a lot." Sun smiled. After that, I headed out of the room and headed straight to the kitchen. Once I have arrived there, I cannot see Miko. I know that he was really shocked about Sun, and it's totally understandable. I tried to wait for him, but the food is getting cold already so I decided to eat. Miko will head here as soon as he feels the hunger. After an hour, I went to my room. Sun was leisurely waiting for me. He was rolling on the bed like a five year old. "Did you wait for long?" I asked. "No, I did not, Ray. So how was your best friend? Did he ask about a lot of things?" "Thank you, Sun for waiting. About that, I did not see Miko in the kitchen. I guess he is just in his room." "I see. He might still be afraid about your prank earlier."
