"Did you wait for long?" I asked.
"No, I did not, Ray. So how was your best friend? Did he ask about a lot of things?"
"Thank you, Sun, for waiting. About that, I did not see Miko in the kitchen. I guess he is just in his room."
"I see. He might still be afraid about your prank earlier."
“Of course, hearing what you said would react that way. Others might think you are crazy, Ray.” Sun said.
Sun was right. People will react like that if I tell them out of nowhere that a ghost is free loading in my room. Their reactions will be different from each other, but one thing will be sure, I will look crazy for them. Others will believe me, but in this present time it’s hard.
“Maybe you are right, Sun.” I sighed.
“Just give your friend some time to think. I wish I was alive so that I can talk to your friend as well.”
“Don’t worry, remember what I promised you the other day? We will look for clues for your memories, okay?" I said.
Sun smiled. "Thank you so much, Ray."
“No worries. As long as I can help you.”
We kept on talking about random things when the door opened. It was Miko, and he kept looking around the room and had no plans to move an inch from the door.
“Why are you just standing there?” I asked.
“Is your ghost friend here?” Miko said, and continued to scan the room.
“Yes, he is sitting beside me? Why?”
“Well, can you tell him that I am sorry.” He said.
Sun and I looked at each other and laughed. Miko looked at me, confused. He still has some hesitation to believe me, especially because he cannot see Sun. He just stayed there looking inside my room.
“What are you doing there, silly? Come here! You look like a kid who is afraid of something.” I said, laughing.
“M-me, a kid? Oh come on, Ray. I am not afraid of anything.” He said, and finally took the courage to step inside my room.
“There, good. Also, Sun is a good spirit so he will not hurt you neither he is possessing me. Well, he also wants to talk to you, but you cannot see him.”
“A ghost wants to talk to me?” He said.
“Is there something wrong with that? You know what, it’s been a long time since he was able to talk with someone, that’s the reason why.” I said.
I hope Miko will understand. I would not deny that I was like him at first, who doesn’t believe for those who cannot be seen. Miko finally calmed down and sat beside me, while Sun was on the other side. I patted his shoulders and smiled.
“I just remembered what the shaman told us the other day.” Miko said.
“What is it?”
“About the warning, that you have awakened someone that should not exist in this world already. That your fate will be tied to whoever that was. Maybe he is referring to your ghost friend, Sun.” He said.
The words that the shaman told me about his warning rang through my mind. It’s impossible. Some parts might be true, about meeting Sun, but I will not believe that he will bring trouble with me. I looked at Sun and he was just watching me and Miko silently, not saying anything. I reached out for his hand, and told him not to worry about it because it’s impossible that the shaman is referring to him. I forgot that Sun doesn’t have a physical body so it just went through his hand. Sun just smiled in response.
“Well, the shaman might be referring to a different thing.” I said.
Miko patted my back and then stopped all of a sudden. I was confused by his reaction, and it felt like he saw something.
“Oh my goodness.” He exclaimed.
“Why? What happened?”
Instead of answering, he touched my shoulders and using his other hand, he pointed at the direction where Sun was sitting.
“I-is that Sun?” He asked.
Sun and I looked at each other confused. I thought Miko cannot see Sun?
