Chapter 86

1145 Words
After a couple of minutes, I arrived at the hotel and my head really hurts so much because of the constant events. My knees are still feeling weak and wobbly. I am really drained after seeing my father.  Luckily, Lena was sitting in the lobby and saw me. I think she was feeling better already after what happened earlier this morning. This day is really a mess, first, Pine then my father Abraham.  “Are you okay, Sir Ray? You look so pale. Do you want me to call a doctor or someone?”  Lena asked, worried. She waved her hand and called the attention of one of our attendants.  “Yes, I am okay. Don’t worry.” I said and started walking towards the elevator. I paused for a moment when I realized I was still holding something. It was the handkerchief from the young man I met at the convention.  “Are you sure that you are okay? Do you want me to call my big brother Sun?” Lena asked again.  “No, it’s okay. I don’t want to bother him. Anyway, thank you Lena. I’ll go and rest now.” I said and walked inside the elevator. Lena’s face was so worried about my condition. I lied because I don’t want them to worry, but now I am feeling nauseous and dizzy.  Walking back to my room feels like forever. I didn’t realize that I passed out as soon as I entered the room.  I woke up with a familiar face looking at me. It was Sun, and he smiled at me. When did he arrive? All I can remember was passing out near the door.  “Are you feeling better now?” Sun asked, and walked towards me carrying a wet towel. He started wiping my forehead and I just stood still there, watching him taking care of me.  “Yes, I am okay now.” I said.  “Are you sure? It feels like you have a fever. You overworked yourself again.” Sun said.  “Yes, a lot just happened earlier today that’s why I am drained.” I said.  “By the way, Miko called earlier. He was looking for you, but I told him that you are not feeling good.” Sun said.  “Ah, yes. I still have an appointment at seven tonight. What time is it already?” I asked. Sun handed me the phone and it was ten minutes before seven. I am still feeling weak, but I need to get up. I was about to stand up but my phone rang. It was Miko.  “Hey, Ray. Don’t leave the hotel now. Ms.Suarez called me earlier and I told him that you were not feeling well so he decided to visit you instead. I asked our attendants to assist her and escort her to your room.  “What? Are you sure about that? It’s really embarrassing since I am in this condition and cannot keep my promise.” I sighed.  “Don’t worry, Ray. Ms.Suarez told me that it's okay and your health comes first. So change into presentable clothes and wait for her in your room.” Miko said on the other line.  “Okay. I will, and thank you so much. You sure are a lifesaver.” I said.  “No need to thank me. You should say your thanks to Sun, if not for him, I would not know what happened to you.” Miko said.  I looked at Sun and I caught him looking at me, smiling brightly. I am really lucky that there are good people around me. I asked Sun to help me while waiting, which he did without question. I also called the staff to make some preparations, also food to bring into my room. It felt like I was having a special treatment coming from one of the important clients. To have Ms. Suarez visit me personally was a bit worrying, but since it's happening, I have to get with it already.  A stood up and sat down on the edge of the bed while waiting for them to arrive. After a few minutes, someone was knocking on the door and I asked Sun to open it. As soon as she opened the door, she looked shocked seeing Sun and hurried towards him.  Sun was surprised as well as me, and was confused by what was happening. Ms. Suarez scanned Sun from head to toe. On the other hand, Sun froze in place and was just standing there. We were even more surprised when Ms.Suarez touched his face. I have to act fast, or they will find out the truth about Sun.  I cleared my throat and spoke. “Is there something wrong, Ms. Suarez? Do you know my friend?” Ms.Suarez suddenly snapped from what she was doing and stopped. She realized that she was doing something out of nowhere, and I can feel that she was embarrassed.  “I’m sorry about that. Your friend looked like someone that I know.” Ms. Suarez said and apologized again.  “It’s okay. Please have a seat.” I said and pointed at the table near the window. I asked one of the attendants to move the curtains so that the ambiance would change. Ms. Suarez slowly walked towards the table and she kept on glancing at Sun. Sun just stood there, still shocked by what happened.  I walked towards him and reached out for his hand. “Are you okay, Sun? Do you want to go elsewhere?”  “No, I’m fine Ray. I was just startled by what happened.” He said,  “Okay, I’ll finish my appointment so that you can calm down already.” I said.  I sat down on the chair and began the meeting with Ms. Suarez. We discussed the plans and the offers, but during that time, I would catch her glancing at Sun. After an hour, everything was settled and she signed the documents to start the business. I was about to stand up when she suddenly asked a question again.  “What’s the name of the young boy over there?” Ms. Suarez asked.  “His name is Sun. Is there something wrong Ms.Suarez? Do you know him?” I asked.  “Oh, I see. He looked really familiar, but it’s impossible that he will be out of his room.” Ms. Suarez said softly.  “Out of his room? What do you mean?” I asked.  “Oh, don’t mind me. He just looks like the son of my friend who was sickly and couldn’t get out of the room. Your friend’s features look like his, that’s why I was so surprised earlier.” She explained.  “I understand. May I know what your friend's name is?”  “It’s Mr. Hernandez.” She answered.
