Chapter 87

“Mr. Hernandez? What do you mean? The one that I bought the Wish and Fly from?” I asked, making sure if I heard it correctly. I looked at Sun, who was just watching us from a distance. 

“Oh, yes. That’s right. He really looked like my godchild, but that’s impossible since he cannot leave their house.” Ms. Suarez said. 

“What do you mean?”

“I am pretty sure you heard it from somewhere that the reason why he sold the farm was to support his son’s needs. Maybe, I am just overthinking but your friend really looks like him. That kid, I hope he gets better now.” Ms. Suarez sighed. 

I don’t know how to react now. There were a lot of thoughts running around my mind now, and also the possible scenarios. I need to confirm things, but I guess it is impossible. How can a soul be stuck there in the farm, who appears only at night. Everything is so confusing now. To add on to that, Sun can manifest a physical body, and is very healthy. Unlike Ms. Suarez's description, Mr. Hernandez's son is different. 

Maybe I should tell Sun, but let’s make sure everything is correct. I’ll have the validity of this checked before I act. I don’t want to hurt Sun with false information. 

“Mr. De Luna, are you okay? You look really pale now.” Ms. Suarez asked. 

I did not realize I spaced out with thinking about what she told me earlier. 

“Ugh, yes. Thanks for the concern, but I am feeling okay now.” I answered. 

“Oh, then that’s good. Let me sign everything so that you can rest already.” She said, and picked up the pen and began signing the documents. 

We continued talking about business and everything that needs to be settled. Still, I cannot focus well because everytime that I forget about what Ms. Suarez said, it will go back again. I can’t shake off the possibility that Sun is the heir of Mr. Hernandez. 

Finally, Ms. Suarez decided to go already. Most of the old clients that I have loved to talk to, and she keeps on saying random things to prolong the conversation. Well, I totally understand it because Miko’s father is like that. 

“How are you, Ray? You really look pale. Just wait here, I’ll call Lena.” Sun said, and headed out of the room. 

Before he left the room, I called him again. “Sun, just stay here please.”

Sun stood at the door and I guess he was thinking if he should go or not. After a minute, he went back and picked up a basin and a towel from the bathroom. I was already sweating and was really feverish. I overexerted myself again today, and this is not good. Not only Sun will worry but Miko will scold me too. 

I have no energy left in my body, and I slouched on the chair. I am feeling light headed, then all of a sudden, I felt that I was being lifted in the air. The gentle aura was wrapping around me again, and it was comforting. I can feel someone’s strong arms carrying me to the bed. Maybe it was Miko, but when I opened my eyes, I saw Sun carrying me instead. 

The look on his face made my heart ache, because he was really worried about my situation now. How many times does he need to see me like this? Why I am always vulnerable when he is around.

“What am I going to do with you now, Ray? You always think of others before yourself, and you keep on spending too much energy on unnecessary things.” Sun murmured and slowly removed my clothes. 

After that he started wiping my sweat with a clean cloth. Minutes later, he began to wipe me with the towel soaked in warm water. My body began to be at ease as soon as he did that. It was comforting my very soul, the way he wiped my body. It felt like he was also wiping my worries and stress. 

I heard voices, and probably it was Miko and Lena. I also heard another woman, but her voice was not that clear. 

“I told him to be careful, but look at him now. He looks pitiful. When will you ever change, Ray?” Miko said,

They kept on talking while Sun continued on wiping my body. Lena told Sun to check my temperature, so that they will know if they will call a doctor or not. They stayed there for a couple of minutes then I heard the woman speak. Her voice was really familiar, and I think it was my sister Rosalia. What is she doing here now? 

“You go ahead and eat first, guys. I will take care of Ray, and Miko don’t worry, I won’t do anything bad with my brother. I am not that kind of person.” Rosalia said. 

“If you say so. Let’s go guys. Rosalia will take care of Ray.” Miko said. After that, the room stayed quiet, meaning the three had left already. What was left in my room was me and my sister Rosalia. 

She started wiping my body again with the wet towel to lower my body temperature. Just like Sun, it felt gentle and caring. 

“What am I ever going to do with you, Ray? I promised our mother that I will take care of you, but I was blinded.” Rosalia said, and continued wiping my body. She stood up and carried the basin back to the restroom and changed it with the clean ones. 

“You are really such a baby, my brother. Every time I hear that you are having a hard time or sick, it really hurts my heart. I cannot do anything, because our father might get angry. He kept on telling me to treat you as a competition, but I never wanted that. I really wanted to keep my promise to our mother” 

What am I hearing now? Why is she telling me all of this. Hearing those words made my heart ache. I was really longing for the love from my siblings, but there was this reason that they can’t do it. It was my father’s doing again. Why would he step down like that, pitting his sons and daughter with each other?”

“I promise that I will do my very best from now on, especially when I get the strength like what you did. Even if you don’t forgive me fully, I will stay by your side. This time, I will take care of you like what we promised our mother. Don’t worry, I will also convince our brother Reinan.” She said, not realizing that I can hear everything that she was telling me now. 

After a few moments, she stood up and changed my clothes, wiping my sweat with a clean cloth. My head is now in a state of confusion. First, it was about what Ms. Suarez told me, and now, my sister is making some sort of confession.

“I guess I need to go now.” Rosalia said, 

“Thank you so much, Rosalia for filling up while we are eating. Why don’t you take some rest first?” Miko said. 

“No, I should go now. Please scold Ray for me, he is not taking care of himself again.” She  said. 

“Sure, I will. Your brother will call me his mother again. Anyway, Lena, go with Rosalia and escort her to her car.” Miko said. 

“Of course, Sir Miko.” Lena said. After a few minutes, it felt like the two had already left. 

I heard Miko sighed and he also started wiping my sweat. 

“What am I going to do with you, Ray. You have everyone worried. I’ll definitely smack your head when you wake up.” Miko said. I heard Sun laugh in the background. The two kept talking about random things, like what Sun wanted to do. Miko also told him about our childhood. The two of them seemed really close, and I like it. 

“You know what, I have some story about Ray when he was a kid.” Miko said. 

“About what?” 

“Before we met each other, he met another kid the same age and almost made a friend out of him. So Ray and that kid promised each other that they will find one another when they grow up. Now, we don’t have any idea what happened to that kid. There are times that Ray was being hunted by his promise in one of his dreams.” Miko said, and I heard him moving his chair. 

“Really? So until now, you don’t have any clues where that kid went?” Sun asked.
