Blue Hour

Chapter 83

“I’m so sorry to everyone. Promise, I will not tell anyone.” Lena said, bowing his head. 

Sun smiled and let out a small laughter, surprising as even more. Hearing him laugh was like music to my ears. There goes my heart again, beating faster. Am I really in love with him?

“That’s fine, Lena. No need to worry, and people might find out soon that I lost my memories, especially my younger days.” Sun said. 

“Still, I am sorry for being so inquisitive. I would have stepped over the line because of me asking a lot of questions.” Lena said sadly. 

“Nahh, Lena. It’s fine, so eat. Okay? Don’t think too much about it.” Miko said. 

We continued eating but Lena was really not feeling better. She must have been thinking a lot about what she found out. I am surprised that Sun will tell her that’s what happened to him. 

After greeting other guests again, we decided to head back to our rooms. We still have a lot of appointments to attend tomorrow, and we need to rest early. 

“You look so tired, Ray.” Sun said, looking at me worried. 

“Yeah, it was an exhausting day indeed. I am still having a hard time adjusting to talking with a lot of people.” I said. 

“But on the farm, it feels different.” Sun said, 

“What do you mean?” 

“You don’t have a hard time talking with them. That’s what I noticed.” Sun said, looking at the window. 

“I see. I guess it’s with the feeling of familiarity. You know, when I first arrived at Wish and Fly, I was also afraid of talking with them. I was scared of being judged, especially people that I don’t know personally and to add to that, my status. The fear cannot be removed, wherever I go too. I always have to put a straight face, holding all the unnecessary emotions that I have.” I said.

Sun slowly walked towards me, and it felt like my body froze. I cannot take my eyes away from him, especially those emotions that he is showing me right now. The tenderness of the way he looks at me, and one thing that I am really sure now, this person is really warmhearted. 

Sun placed his hands on my hair, stroking it in a comforting manner. I felt chills running down on my body because of what he is doing now. Instead of standing up, I sat down there like a kid, liking what he was doing. Those tender hands sent my emotions ablaze. 

“You have done well, Ray.” Sun said, still stroking my hair. 

My mind went blank for a moment, and my body moved on its own. I heard Sun gasp because of what I did. I hugged him out of nowhere. I felt embarrassed and wanted to get away, but my body won’t listen to what’s on my mind. A lot of emotions were running on my whole body now. Instead of pushing me away, Sun just stood there too. My heart was beating like crazy and breathing was getting deeper. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes, just staying still, not saying anything. 

I removed my hands from Sun, and there was a weird feeling on my face. I touched the corner of my cheeks, and it was wet. Wait, did I cry? Tears fell from my eyes without me realizing it. Why didn't Sun say anything?

“Are you feeling better now?” Sun asked. There he goes. He is really kind and considerate. 

“Sorry.” I said. 

“It’s okay, Ray. Remember what you told me before, that if I need something, I can always tell you. Well, you can do the same too. I am really thankful that you took me under your care, and everything you have done to me was a lot already. You considered me as an acquaintance, a friend and you were not afraid of me. We both belong from two different worlds, but it made me feel like I was alive. I am so thankful that you made me experience this, even though I should have not, since it’s against the laws of nature.” Sun said. 

“It feels like you are saying goodbye?” I blurted out. I don’t know but I cannot control my mouth sometimes. 

“Silly, no I am not. I am just being thankful for what you have done for me so far. Also, not just me, but everyone at Wish and Fly. They are happy to have you so don’t worry.” 

“I should be the one thankful, ever since I found you, good things have happened one after another. It made my stay on the farm worthwhile, and I hope we can find clues on your memories.” I said. 

“Yes, and I trust you on this one, Ray. Miko as well.” He said, smiling brightly. 

“Well, I need to tell you about something.” I said. 

“About what?” 

“About finding clues from where you came from, I know it's already an invasion of privacy but I asked Miko to hire some investigators. I wanted to let you know, so that we have your full consent. We still respect your privacy Sun.” I said. 

“Well, it’s okay and you don’t have to worry since I am already dead.” He smiled. 

Sadness filled my heart after hearing those words from him, that he is no longer part of the living world. Well, I need to do my best for him, so that before he moves to the other side, he will be happy at least. 

“Don’t worry Sun. Miko and I will help you in any way that we can, so please trust us.” I said.

“Thank you so much. I guess it's time for us to rest, and it's getting late already. You still have a lot of things that need to be done tomorrow, so you need to recover your strength.” 

“Yes, I will. You should rest too, Sun. I’ll just finish some documents, so you go ahead first. I’ll just slip in the sheets once I am done.” I said. 

“Okay, but please make sure that you take enough rest.” 

“Oh before I forgot Sun, since you can’t be away from me from a certain distance, I will take you to one of my appointments. Also, the next day as well.” I said. 

“Sure, no problem.” Sun said. I continued doing my stuff and before calling it a day.

The next day, I woke up from the table I was working from and also I was covered with a blanket. I might have fallen asleep while doing all the documents that I needed to review. I slowly stood up and checked the time. It was six in the morning, but there were no signs of Sun sleeping on the bed. The sheets and the pillow were fixed properly, so I folded the blanket and placed it on the bed. 

Picking up my phone, I slowly scanned the schedule that was sent to me by Miko. So, the meeting with Ms. Suarez will be around at seven in the evening near the Garden Hotel north of the city. It was the hotel that she owned, and the reason why she wanted to meet up was to get a supplier for her hotel. 

The only problem is Sun being stuck to me at a certain distance. We need to be more careful now since we are not at the farm, and a lot of people might notice that’s why Miko and I agreed for him to attend the other meetings with me especially the one with Ms. Suarez, and my sister. 

After preparing the necessary documents and other stuff, I headed out of the room and called the two. Surprisingly, they were already waiting in the lobby. 

“You two were so early? Did you get enough rest?” I asked. 

The two nodded in response. 

“Where is big brother Sun?” Lena asked. 

“He is resting now. He had a lot of things that he did last night.” I lied. 

“Too bad, we should have invited him first for breakfast before he sleeps. Well, I don;’t want to bother him so that he can rest properly.” Lena said. 

“So, let’s go and eat first.” Miko said. Everyone nodded in agreement. We were on our way to the elevator when I saw a familiar figure, and even Miko was shocked. 

“What is that  girl doing here?” Miko said.
