Chapter 84

“So, let’s go and eat first.” Miko said. Everyone nodded in agreement. We were on our way to the elevator when I saw a familiar figure, and even Miko was shocked. 

“What is that  girl doing here?” Miko said. 

“How dare you!” Pine shouted all of a sudden and rushed towards where we were. A loud slap was heard all over the place. 

Lena was just standing there, not knowing how to react. She reached out for her face and cupped her cheeks. On the other hand, Pine was not done and was about to grab Lena’s hair but Miko pushed her away. 

“How dare you, you crazy woman!” Miko shouted. 

I walked towards Lena and checked if she was okay. She was holding her tears back but sooner or later, she might cry already. Just how in the world this woman reached here again, causing troubles. 

“I should be the one saying that to you, you stupid friend of Ray. How dare you protect that crazy girl who stole Ray from me.” Pine said and was about to go to Lena again. In defense, Miko pushed her away again. 

“Do you know what you are talking about! You are really shameful, you delusional woman.” Miko said. He was really ready to face off Pine. 

“I will let that girl suffer if he steals Ray away from me.” Pine warned. 

While Miko and Pine were arguing, I called one of the staff to help Lena while the other called the security as well as the Martinez residence. 

“Cut it out Pine. What are you doing here?” I asked. Her emotions suddenly shifted to being sweet after hearing me speak. 

“I wanted to see you Ray, and I really miss you. Why do you keep on running away from me?” She said. 

“I told you before, we are already done. Are you not getting tired of following me? It's been years now, and you still have the guts to say that you love me. That’s not love, Pine” I said. 

“Why don’t you listen to me, Ray? I can change for you, just go with me again.” 

“Change? This is not the first time, Pine! Wake up already.” 

Her emotions changed again and glared at me. “How dare you say that! I am the one who made you and come out of your shell!” 

“Cut it out already Pine. You are getting overboard.” Miko said. 

Just in time, Mrs. Martinez arrived together with two nurses. With the help of the security, they held Pine.

“What are you doing here Mom! Please let me go!” Pine screamed at the top of her lungs, scaring the bystanders looking at us. 

“Stop it already, Pine. Please take care of yourself more. Wake up now, my daughter.” Mrs. Martinez said, cupping her daughter’s face. She signaled the two nurses to administer the medicine to Pine. 

“No, I will not as long as I don’t get to be with Ray!” Pine shouted, trying to escape from the guards. I don’t know but I felt pity for her. 

A loud slap was heard again in the hall. It was Mrs. Martinez, and she just slapped Pine to snap out from her senses. We stood there, not saying anything. Pine stopped and the nurses took her back to the car waiting outside. Mrs. Martinez bowed her head towards us, apologizing for what happened. 

“I am really sorry, Ray. I know my daughter has been bothering you for a couple of years already, but thank you for being understanding.” Mrs. Martinez said. 

“It’s okay, I totally understand. It’s also my fault for your daughter being like this.” I said,

“No, it’s not your fault. Still, I wanted to thank you.” She said and bid goodbye to us. She apologized to us and especially Lena, who was still shocked by what happened. After everyone left, we brought Lena back to her room. 

“Are you sure that you are okay, Lena?” I asked. 

“Yes, I am. Don’t worry, I was just shocked by the series of events. Again, who is that person?” She asked. There she goes again, even after being hurt, instead of checking herself, she was getting curious. 

“That girl is Ray’s ex-girlfriend.” Miko said. 

“Wait? Really? Is it true, Sir Ray?” She asked. I nodded my head in response. She covered her mouth with her hands because of the shock.

“Well, again. I apologize if she slapped you out of nowhere for no reason at all.” 

“It’s okay. I’m fine. Your ex-girlfriend is like those antagonists that I watched from the movies. If they don't get what they want, they become crazy and attack anyone. You need to be careful, she might take revenge again at you.” Pine said seriously. 

After hearing that, both Miko and I looked at each other, bursting into laughter. She just scratched her head in confusion. 

“Now, just stay here in your room, okay? Take some rest, and we will handle most of the work for now.” I said. 

“But..

“No buts, missy. Also, we want to take care of your privacy because some people might snap photos of you and might get involved in unwanted scandals.” Miko warned. 

“Okay, again thank you so much to the two of you. I don’t know what will happen if that woman keeps on attacking me.” Lena said.

We left the room after giving her instructions, and things to do as well so she won’t get bored. Miko and I headed back to my room and prepared for my appointments today. 

“I never expected that your ex-girlfriend would go here at the hotel and cause a commotion.” Miko said, laughing. 

“Well, I did not expect that either. I know that she was on the farm, but how did she catch up so fast on where we are? Also, she came at the wrong time when Lena was with us. You know how she reacts if she sees me with another girl. Remember when she also attacked my sister when we were younger.” I said. 

“Yes, I remember how your sister was so mad at that time that she wanted to kill Pine. Women are really scary.”  

“You bet.” I said, smiling all the uneasiness I am feeling now.
