Blue Hour

Chapter 95

“I’m sorry for asking.” Lena said. 

“That’s fine. A lot of things have already changed. I am slowly finding my happiness." I said and looked at Sun who was busy chomping down on the fries Miko bought. 

“Look at Sun mowing down that food.” Miko said, laughing.

“You sure are eating a lot today.” I said,

“I don’t know why, but this is so good. This is the first time I had this kind of food, and it suits my taste.” Sun answered and drank the slurpee. 

“It’s really surprising, because before, you wouldn’t touch your food or eat when we invited you.” Miko said, 

“What do you mean?” Lena asked. I almost threw my drinks when she asked. We forgot that she was with us and kept on forgetting that she doesn’t know the truth about him. 

“U-uh, Sun always has this low appetite that’s why when we invite him, sometimes he is not hungry. So we were really surprised when we saw him eat like this.”  I lied. We really need to figure things out before they find out the truth about Sun. 

Miko and Sun nodded in response. They must have understood that we need to divert Lena’s attention before she notices again. 

We continued eating and watched the kids as they were having fun playing. I checked the watch and we only had a little time left because it was already getting late. I don’t want to stop the kids from having fun, but I don’t want their health to be affected or them getting sick.  

“Let’s get another go before we go home.” Miko said. Everyone nodded and agreed so we left. 

“Where do you want to go next?” I said,

Sun and Lena looked around and pointed at the bump cars. Miko looked at me and smirked, and was trying to pick on me again. 

“I think that one will be okay.” I said. 

“You really sure?” Sun asked, while Miko was tapping his shoulders. I think Miko whispered something to him. 

“Yes.” I answered confidently. 

“There’s no going back now.” Miko said. The three looked at each other as if they were planning something. Whatever it is, I hope my patience will not be severed or I might throw a fit. 

Luckily, the kids were done playing in this area so we have the whole playground with us. I suddenly felt chills when I saw the three talking again, as if they were planning something bad. Miko noticed and he just laughed. I left them and headed to the staff to get tickets and after a minute, I called everyone. 

We slowly sat down on the bump cars and the staff gave us safety gear. He also instructed us on how to run the thing and gave us safety tips. The music in the bump car area began to play. 

Everyone was trying to get used to driving bump cars, especially Lena and Sun. We just let them practice before the fun starts. Miko on the other hand, kept on teaching the two and I was left moving the car in circles. 

“Are you ready!” Miko suddenly shouted. The two answered in chorus and began to drive towards me. 

I hope what I was thinking now is what they are planning to do, or they will surely get a lot of scolding.
