Okay, just this once. Send me the address where you want to meet up.” I said.
“Thank you, Ray…
I hung up on the call and put it back in my pocket. I know I acted rude, but I cannot really stand it anymore. I just stood there, trying to calm down.
“You okay, Ray?”
I looked behind me and it was Sun, giving his worried expression again. I tried to compose myself and calm down.
“Yes, I’m fine. Did you finish eating?” I asked, changing the topic.
“Are you sure? I heard you were racing your voice earlier? Who are you talking with? Remember, you can tell me anything you want. As for dinner, I ate only a little.” Sun answered.
He really got me this time. Sun knows already about how I react to things, and I guess he was really observing me from the beginning.
“That was my sister. He was asking me to meet up with her.” I sighed.
“Oh, is there something wrong? You are not excited to meet her?” Sun asked.
“Not at all. You know, I am on bad terms with my family. That’s the reason why I went to stay here at the farm.” I said.
“But it wouldn’t hurt talking with your sister once in a while? Maybe, she just wants to tell you something important, meeting you personally.”
“Yeah, I know. Knowing my siblings, they might be plotting something else.” I said.
“I see. Do you want me to go with you when you meet her?” Sun suggested.
“Eh, I don’t know Sun. Let me think about it first. I don’t want you getting caught up with my family issues.” I said.
“Okay, just tell me whenever you want.” Sun smiled. I smiled back at him. We stayed there like that for a moment when we heard someone calling us.
“Hey, you two? What are you doing there?” It was Miko, walking fast towards us. We just smiled at him.
“What are you two talking about?” Mikko asked.
“Nothing special.” I answered.
“Really, I don’t believe you. Come on, spill.”
Sun and I laughed at Miko who looked like an elder waiting for our answers.
“Come on, let’s go back to our rooms and rest already. We have a lot of things to do tomorrow.” I said.
“Okay, fine.” Miko sighed, causing us to laugh again. He was pouting like a lost puppy. After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at the house. I can feel my legs are sore already.
“Wait, Ray. Where does Sun sleep?” Miko asked.
“I sleep with Ray on the bed.” Sun smiled.
“What!?” Miko exclaimed. I smacked his head for overreacting.
“Ouch, that hurted, Ray. Is it true?”
“Yes, and where do you think Sun would sleep?” I said.
“You have a lot of explaining to do, Mr. De Luna.” Miko said, shaking his head.
