Chapter 129

Hearing those words made Mercedes’ knees weak, causing him to fall on the floor. She cried so hard, and it broke Roman’s heart into pieces. After having all the blessings that they had, this is what they will get in return. 

“Please do anything to save our son.” Roman asked the doctor. 

“Yes, of course. We will do our best to help your kid recover.” The doctor said and left. All that they could do that moment was pray and look at their kid who was fighting for his life. 

Roman asked Austin to take care of the investigation to find out the culprit and the driver of the car. Mercedes, on the other hand, doesn't want to leave his son’s side. A day had passed and the doctor called them to his office. The two were nervous, and it was like the time when Mercedes was pregnant. They prepared themselves for the news that the doctor would say. 

“Please come in.” The doctor said, and the two sat down nervously. 

“Thank you. How’s our son, doc?” Roman asked. 

The doctor looked at them first and sighed. She took out the results of the test that were done on Sun, and the results were written all over her face. 

“Please, what I am going to say now was the findings about your son, and the possibilities that might happen.” The doctor answered. 

“We are ready, Ma’am.” Mercedes said, and held Roman’s hand tightly. 

“After running several tests on your son, the damage that your kid had was so severe. Most of his limbs were damaged, and the one thing that will be our problem is his brain and his lungs. One of his ribs punctured his lungs on the lower left side, and we also found out that there is an internal haemorrhage on his head. Sun needs to undergo surgery, but the chances of survival are low.” The doctor said, 

Hearing those things almost made Mercedes fainted. Roman caught his wife, and his knees were feeling weak already. He was holding his tears back after hearing what the doctor said. He cleared his throat and spoke. 

“Please do the necessary steps to save our son. We will do everything so that he will live.” Roman said, 

“Yes we will, Sir. But let me remind you, the chances are very low and he is really in a critical state. We need to be very careful with the operation, and I will be inviting the best doctors to perform the surgery. All I wish that you do is pray for your son’s recovery as well.” The doctor said, and gave them papers to sign. 

The couple left the doctor’s office, and Mercedes was still having a hard time to digest all that she heard today. 

“Roman, what are we going to do now?” Mercedes said, and hugged his husband, crying. 

“Don’t worry, our son will be saved.”
