Chapter 38

“Get well soon, Sir.” Cynthia said. The two bowed their heads and left the room. After the two left, we began to eat the food. Ofcourse, everything was delicious, as well as the ginger tea. It was my first time having it, and Cynthia was right, it was calming. 

“I guess you should rest in your room first. I’ll handle some of the external affairs first, then I will report it to you later.” Miko said. 

“Thank you. By the way, have you set an appointment with Ms. Suarez already? We will go back to the city after two weeks to meet her.” 

“Yes, I did already. Her secretary informed me that Ms. Suarez agreed with the schedule. Oh, by the way, is Sun here?” 

I totally forgot about Sun. I looked at the clock and it was already eight in the morning. 

“That’s one of the issues actually.” I answered. 

“Issue? Why?” 

“I noticed that every morning, he just vanishes and doesn't leave any trace. If he is around, I can actually feel his presence, but during the day, I just can’t.”

“That’s an issue. How can we help him properly if we don’t know what is going on with him?” Miko said. 

“I have been thinking about something.” 

“About what?” Miko asked. 

“Can you contact one of our private investigators? I really wanted to solve what happened to Sun.” 

“But that’s a bit..” MIko paused. 

“Yes, I know. It might be an invasion of privacy, even if Sun is already dead. But given the situation, we need to use our resources.” I answered. 

“Okay, fine. I can feel that you are really invested in him. It is so not like you.” 

“Yeah, ever since I met him in the orchard, everything felt weird for me already. Oh, one more thing, can you tell Lena to call the shaman that went here at the farm.” I said. 

“What? That shaman? What are you planning?” 

“We need help from those experts when it comes to this field. I know it’s pretty weird, but that shaman is also one of our options.” I answered. 

“Okay, fine. I get it. Just rest here for the day, okay?” Miko said. 

“Yes, mother.” I laughed, teasing him. 

“Do you want me to smack your head?” He said.

“Go now!” I said.

The day just passed by with me just staying in my room, doing nothing. Miko also reminded me not to answer or check his phone, but he knows me well so he took it away to make sure. It was really boring not doing anything, also when you have no one to talk to. It was hard for me because of those past experiences that I have. I hope Sun appears now. To get rid of my boredom, I moved the couch near the window and sat there, looking outside. The view was calming and I fell asleep without realizing. 

“Ray, wake up!” I hear someone calling me. Just hearing that voice made my body move instantly. I slowly opened my eyes and saw him standing in front of me, waving his hands to check if I was awake already. 

“Sun?”
