Chapter 70

It was two in the morning when the view of the city caught my attention. It’s been a while since I saw this as well. I was already used to the sight of stars in the night sky.

“Pretty isn’t it?” I asked.

“Yes, it is. Still, stars are better than this.” Sun answered. Still, the city lights brought a nostalgic feeling in my heart. Every memory kept rushing like a flood but I tried to remain calm. I don’t want everyone to notice what I am feeling right now, even Miko.

Lena woke up, and she looked amazed with the new surroundings that she was in. Sun and Lena kept looking around, pointing at everything. They both look like a kid, and it made me feel happy. Their expressions were priceless, and I feel good seeing them like that.

It was almost four in the morning when we arrived at one of the hotels that I owned. This was also the fruit of my hard work, and did not acquire it from my father. I named the hotel after my late mother, Luna, to honor her. Not boasting but the hotel was included in the top ten hotels in the city and got a rating of eight out of ten. Critics were hard to please, but due to everyone’s hard work, we passed the criteria. The hotel is located at the southern district of the city.

The personels approached us as soon as we went down of the car.

“Welcome back Sir.” Everyone said and bowed their heads towards us.

“Thank you so much. How is everything going?”

A man in his late forties approached us, and gave me a warm smile. He was the manager of the Luna Hotel. “Everything is perfectly fine, thanks to your directions. We are forever grateful for what you did to us.”

“I should be the one thanking you, Roger. All of you working under me. It will not be possible without your help.” I said. I saw my employees shocked with what I said. I was not the showy type of person before. I always thanked them, but not verbally like this. I know that they think of me as a cold person.

“By the way, let me introduce you to these two. Please take care of them while I am doing business. This is Lena, one of my people at the Wish and Fly. This man here is Sun. I want you to treat them properly okay, and I want them to have good memories in the city. Miko will be giving you instructions later, okay?”

“Got it Sir. Let’s go in now, so that we can rest.”

We decided to go in the hotel, and I can’t help not to smile at Sun and Lena’s reaction.

“It’s so pretty, and calming. The atmosphere in this place is so warm.” Sun said.

“I did not know that you own this hotel, Sir Ray. This is one of the things in my bucket list, to visit the place.” Lena said. with her jaws dropped.

Unlike the hotels with extravagant features, I decided to make it simple and minimal. At the same time, I want everyone who visit the place feel like it’s their home.

“What do you think?” I asked Sun.

“It’s really pretty.” Sun smiled.
