Chapter 25

648 Words
I woke up from the sound of the roosters again, serving as our alarm. It was five in the morning. I looked at the couch to check if Sun was still there, and he was still sleeping. I picked up my towel and went to the bathroom to clean myself. After half an hour, I went out and checked on him again. The pouch that I was holding fell on the floor because of what I saw. “Sun!” I called. He was not responding. His body was getting more transparent. As soon as the ray of the sun hit the window, he disappeared into thin air. I was too late. My phone rang and checked who was calling. It was my sister again. What business does she have today? I couldn’t care less, because I am worried about Sun. What did I just see? Thoughts flooded into my mind because of what happened. What if the Sun cannot return back? Should I look for him? Should I look for something? I cancelled the call and went to my browser to check. I type the keywords one by one. I started with what happens to a ghost, and also what ghosts are. A lot of random things popped up but most of them did not answer my question. I kept on typing a lot of words and checking every article, but most of them were about evil ghosts. A couple of minutes passed and then there was nothing that I could find about the situation of Sun. It was weird because it felt like that his situation was a special case. I was about to close the browser on my phone, but a certain pop up message appeared on the website I accidentally clicked. The title says “Blue Hour.” I was about to check the link but Miko entered the room. “Hey, did you just wake up?” He said. “No, I woke up earlier. Why?” “Nothing, let’s go to the kitchen. I am hungry.” I gave one last look at my room to check if there were traces of Sun, but there was nothing. I left the room full of worry because of what I witnessed. Arriving at the kitchen, the staff greeted me. Cynthia already prepared our food as usual. Once I sat down, everyone began to eat as well. I ate in silence and kept on thinking about what happened earlier today. What could that mean? “Are you still asleep?” Miko asked. “No, why?” I asked. Instead of responding, he pointed at the cup of coffee beside me. Shocked, I stood up and went to Cynthia carrying the cup. I was putting the rice on the coffee without noticing it. I must be really deep in thought that I even did not notice my surroundings. I saw Cynthia gave me a worried look. She asked me if I still want another cup, but I said no. I need to loosen up my mind. “I’ll go no now, Cynthia. Tell Miko that I have something urgent to do.” “But you haven’t finished eating yet.” “That’s okay. I’ll make sure to finish my food later.” I waved goodbye to her and to the other staff who saw me. I needed some fresh air so I headed towards the Mango orchard to loosen up. “Sir!” I looked behind to check who was calling me, and it was Lena. “Good morning.” I said. “Good morning too, Sir. Where are you headed?” She asked. “Getting some fresh air. How about you?” “Doing the same thing, Sir. Do you want me to accompany you? I know a good spot where we can stay.” She smiled. “Yes.” I said, accepting her offer.
