Chapter 58

Miko and I hurried back to the main house. I don’t know but I was feeling nervous about what was going to happen next. In front of the door of my bedroom was Lena, sitting on the floor, shocked as if she saw something. 

“Are you okay, Lena?” Miko asked. 

“A thief!” She pointed at someone inside my room. 

Crap! A thief? Or did she saw Sun?

“Where?”I asked. 

Lena pointed at the side of the couch. We slowly walked towards the couch and saw Sun crouching there. 

“There, it’s the thief.” Lena said. 

Slowly. Sun rose up and waved his hand at us, giving an awkward smile. Miko cannot help himself and laughed out loud. I smiled, and Lena was confused by what was happening.

“Do you know him?” Lena asked, looking at us confused. 

“Yes,sorry about that Lena. He is one of our close friends, and I forgot to tell everyone.” I said. There were a lot of bystanders already checking at us and about what was happening. To avoid more confusion, I told her that I forgot to introduce Sun. The only problem is that we need to avoid everyone to find out that Sun is already dead. 

One by one, the other workers left the room. There was one thing that I noticed, Austin and Cynthia were so shocked to see Sun as if it was not their first time seeing him. It felt like they saw a ghost, where Sun is really a wandering soul. 

“I’m really sorry about that, Mr. Sun.” Lena said, and lowered his head. 

Sun looked at us and gave us an awkward smile. “It’s okay, Lena. Sorry to startle you earlier. I thought Ray was the one knocking on the door. 

“It’s okay, I was just startled seeing a new face here at the farm.” Lena said. 

The two kept on talking and it felt like they were getting close already. Sun really wanted company and I can feel that he is enjoying this kind of thing. Well, we have one problem though. I called Miko’s attention and we moved near the window so that Lena wouldn’t hear. 

“I know what you are going to say, Ray.” Miko said. 

“Yeah, and I am worried that people might figure out the truth about Sun. We did not foresee this, and we need to be extra careful. He is already exposed to a lot of people.”  I said. 

“That’s what I am worried about, and we need to keep people away from him before they discover what Sun really is.” Miko sighed. 

“I know, and you know what, I noticed something wrong with Austin and Cynthia when they saw Sun.” 

“What do you mean?” 

“They looked so shocked when they saw Sun. I also mentioned this before to them, about the incident at the Mango orchard, but they chose to change the topic.” I answered. 

“Could there be some sort of connection between them?” Miko said. 

My friend is right. We need to find out everything that we can and help Sun before everyone discovers what he really is. I looked at Sun laughing together with Lena, and somehow, the sound of his laughter calmed my heart.
