Blue Hour

Chapter 99

We continued the search, and half an hour passed already, but there was still no response. We still can’t find the kid. I looked up at the sky and it was darkening already. This is bad news, and we need to hurry to find her. 

Almost an hour and a half passed, but there was still no progress on the whereabouts of Marga. We shifted locations, but still no signs of her. We tried to compile all the footage available, but we are still having trouble locating her. 

 I gathered some of the staff and also the caretakers and we went back to the center of the park. We waited for the others to arrive. One by one, they appeared with a sad face as no signs of Marga were found. We don’t know what exactly happened to the kid, and she might be in grave danger. 

We don’t want to think about it, but there are a lot of possible scenarios that have been going on in our minds now. We are still unsure of all the things that are happening now, and we need to find her the soonest. 

“Did you report it to the police already?” I asked. 

“Yes, we did. They are on their way here.” Miko answered. 

“How about the other children?” 

“We gathered everyone at the auditorium and made sure that they would not panic. We also made sure that they would not notice what was really happening right now.” Lena answered. 

“That’s good to hear. We need to find Marga before the kids notices. Also, it’s getting late and the weather is acting up a bit already.” I said, as I felt the cold air pass on my cheeks. Anytime now, it will rain. 

“This is getting out of hand already, but we should not lose hope. I am also thinking that Marga might have been thinking now that we are playing hide and seek. That’s what I wanted to avoid because she will keep on hiding.” Sun said,

“So, do you have any plans?” Miko asked. 

“Unlike what we were doing earlier, why do we do it silently and let her think that we are not looking for her. I know this might sound dangerous, but we have no time to spare.” Sun said. 

I stopped and tried to think what Sun said. He is right, and we need to do everything that we can to find Marga. Other people might think his plan was childish, but at least we can try. 

“Let’s go with his plan. We don’t have time to spare.” I said, 

Everyone looked at each other confused, but after a minute, they all agreed. The whole park became silent as we decided to turn off the announcement about looking for Marga. We also let some of the staff wait for the police to inform them about the current situation. We slowly moved to the back of the park and divided into teams again. This time, Sun and I were together. 

“Thank you for listening to my suggestion.” Sun said. 

“Yes, no worries. We need to do everything that we can to find her.” I said, and patted Sun’s back. In return, he gave me a warm smile, comforting all the emotions running on my body now. I hope we can find the kid now. 

Fifteen minutes had passed but there was no sign of  Marga. We tried to be calm as much as possible so that we would not startle her too. 

Then, we suddenly heard a shrill scream coming from the opposite direction. What’s happening now?
