Chapter 98

“Sorry, I was confused a bit on how to answer even though you have taught me already.” Sun said on the other line. 

“It’s okay. So any updates?” I asked. 

"I asked the staff but there were no signs of the young child here. I also asked them, like what you told me, to check on the footage to get us clues about their whereabouts." Sun said.

“Okay, thank you. I will call you again as soon as we have news too. Please be careful too, Sun.” I said,

“I will.” Sun answered. 

The staff has the footage of he CCTV already and they found out that the kid already left a few minutes ago. They checked where she was heading, but the direction was uncertain. I looked at the best way possible, and was hopeful that we can find the little girl soon. 

“Could you please call the main station and make an announcement that the kid might be near this area, and also they should give us updates from time to time so our information will be more accurate.” I said, 

“Yes sir.” Everyone responded. 

After that, we started to check the whole area again, starting inside the fairy land. We need to make sure that the kid is not thinking that we are playing hide and seek. After a couple of minutes, we headed to the Candy Land area. Still, there were no signs of the child. I bumped into the caretaker who was with the young girl earlier. 

“Any news?” I asked.

“No Sir, we still can’t find her. We are really sorry for the trouble that we have caused you today.” The caretaker said. 

“It’s okay, I understand. She is still a young girl and wants to play.” I said, 

“The truth is, the little girl has had this condition since childhood. She was showing signs of autism, but we are still verifying it, that’s why we have her checked every month. As you will notice, she was always smiling even if the other kids picked on her. Her hearing is impaired too, and she is almost deaf.” The caretaker said. 

I was really surprised by what the caretaker was telling me about the little girl. I was even more worried after hearing that. Sadness was starting to creep up on my body as we continued to talk while looking for the girl. 

“Does the other kid want to play or interact with her?” I asked, 

“Yes, some of them, but to be honest, we also noticed that the other kids are being distant from her.” 

“I see, now I understand. I also think the reason why she went out all alone was to have fun by herself. Still, we should not jump into conclusions.” I said, 

‘Again, Sir. We really wanted to apologize for what is happening now.” The woman answered. 

“It’s okay. After this, please tell me if the other kids have special conditions like this so that we can give them the correct medical attention.” I said. 

“Okay, Sir.”

We continued the search, and half an hour passed already, but there was still no response. We still can’t find the kid. I looked up at the sky and it was darkening already. This is bad news, and we need to hurry to find her.
