Chapter 97

“I think we need to separate from each other so that we can find the kid faster.” Sun suggested. 

“Yes, but are you sure that you can go alone?” I asked. 

“Don’t worry about me. We need to do that so we can find her faster, also it will be better. We need to keep the child safe.” Sun answered, who was starting to look around.

“He is right, Ray. We need to spread out so that we can find her faster.” Miko said. 

Not only I was worried about the kid, but also about Sun. I don’t want something to happen to him, since he is not familiar here in this place. He is right though, we need to find the child as soon as we can. 

We decided to split up, me taking up the eastern side of the park, while Miko will go to the southern side. He will be informing the guards and will check the CCTV installed in the area. On the other hand, Sun will go to the western side where there are less people that will see him,. We are also keeping his identity safe from the people. 

Before he went to that side, I gave him my phone so that I can contact him anytime I want. I also taught him how to use it, and I am glad that he picked up on how to use it. Though the feeling of worry cannot be removed. 

After taking a lot of things into consideration, I slowly checked the possible areas where the child might have gone to. There were several announcements that have been made at the park to find the kid, so things will be faster. I can see the caretakers go in panic, as well as the staff. 

I should have sorted things out first that might have prevented this kind of situation, but I think I totally forgot. As soon as I went out of the merry go round, I noticed that the staff were talking about something. They noticed me approaching them and bowed their heads. 

“How was the search?” I asked. 

“So far, we still don’t have any idea where the kid went this time. But earlier, one of our teammates saw where she had run to.” The staff said. 

“Where could that be?” 

“We saw the kid playing, holding a cotton candy and headed to the Fairy Land over there.” The staff said, pointing in the direction of the area. 

“Okay, let’s go and check there.” I said, and I was feeling full of hope that we can find the little girl over there. There was a question running through my mind as we were rushing towards the Fairy Land that they mentioned. Why did she go alone there? 

We started calling her name as soon as we entered the playground, but there was no response. 

“Marga, where are you?” I shouted. 

Still, there was no response. I suggested to the staff to check every corner because the kid might think that we are playing hide and seek if we kept on calling her. We kept on searching, but there was still no response. 

“Do you have a CCTV installed in this area?” I asked. 

“Yes, most of our facilities have CCTV installed.” 

“Then, let’s go and check it please so that we will have another clue where to find her. I am pretty sure that she left this area already.” I suggested. 

“Copy, Sir.” 

“By the way, can I borrow your phone?” I asked the staff.

“Sure, Sir.” He said and handed me the phone. I tried to call my phone number and it was ringing. After a few seconds, he finally picked up.

“Sorry, I was confused a bit on how to answer even though you have taught me already.” Sun said on the other line. 

“It’s okay. So any updates?” I asked.
