ERNALINE'S POV:

"Nag-lunch ka na ba?" sumilip si Kuya Senri sa pinto habang umiinom ito sa karton ng gatas.

"Hindi pa po. Hinihintay ko kasi kayong magising para sabay-sabay na po tayong kumain." sagot ko.

Inilapag ko muna ang gitara ko sa coffee table nang lumapit si Kuya Senri dala ang karton ng gatas. Umupo si Kuya Senri sa single sofa without minding his topless body being exposed in front of me.

"You don't have to wait for us if you want to eat. May sari-sarili kaming body clock lalo na kapag ganitong nakainom kami. You can cook whatever you like without minding us Ashleigh. Baka sabihin ng Kuya mo pinapabayaan kita dito." ani ni Kuya Senri.

"H...hindi po ako marunong magluto eh." nahihiyang pag-amin ko. "May cook po kami sa bahay, si Yaya Marie po ang gumagawa lahat ng gawaing-bahay."

Kuya Senri heave a sigh as he massage his temple. "Don't be shy about it. Hindi na bago sa akin na marinig ang ganyan since over protective nga ang Kuya mo pero para sa akin he's so O'A when it comes to you."

"Ganun lang po talaga mag express ng love si Kuya sa akin bilang kapatid niya po."

"Kunsabagay, hindi ko naranasan magkaroon ng kapatid, I am only child."

Tumayo si Kuya Senri. "Wait here."

Naglakad ito pabalik ng kusina dala ang karton ng gatas na ngayon ay wala nang laman. Puno naman ng pagkain yong fridge ang kaso nga hindi ako marunong magluto dahil hindi naman ako pinapayagan ni Kuya humawak ng spatula o mag operate ng kalan.

Nagkibit-balikat na lamang ako at muling kinuha ang gitara ko at tahimik na tumutugtog doon ng panibagong melody na nabubuo sa utak ko.

Natapos ang pagkanta ko pero patuloy pa rin ang pag galaw ng daliri ko sa string ng gitara.

"I thought I was being picked up by an angel in my dream? Ikaw lang pala ang kumakanta."

Natigil ako sa pagtipa ng gitara at napalingon ako sa bagong dating. It was Jasper who leans closer where I was seating. Muntik ko pang mahalikan ang pisngi niya kung hindi ito umalis agad mula sa pagkakasilip sa akin sa couch.

Umupo si Jasper sa single sofa na siyang inukopa ni Kuya Senri kanina at mukhang inaantok pa ito.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" paghingi ko ng paumanhin dito.

"Nah, its fine. Nagising ako dahil sa ganda ng kanta. Bagong gawa mo ba 'yon?" kinuha ni Jasper ang notebook ko at tinignan ang bawat laman nito.

"Uh, yeah. Kagagawa ko lang pero hindi ko pa naisusulat." sagot ko.

Tumango-tango naman si Jasper at muling inilapag ang notebook ko sa coffee table at humiga sa arm rest ng single couch habang nakatingin sa akin.

"Mind if I request you a song?" aniya.

"Anong kanta ba? Marami akong sinulat na kanta."

"Made a song for me, Ashleigh?" tila pabulong ang pagkakasabi ni Jasper dahil sa antok na nararamdaman nito.

"Sige." pagpayag ko.

Muling gumalaw ang daliri ko sa string ng gitara at nag-iba ang tono noon.

Nang matapos ang kanta ko, inilapag ko sa coffee table ang gitara ko at tahimik na umalis mula sa kinauupuan kong sofa at dumiretso ako sa kusina.

Nadatnan ko si Kuya Senri na nasa harap ng gas stove habang nakasuot ito ng apron at may hawak na spatula.

Si Kyle naman ay abala sa pag-aayos ng mesa. Naglalagay ito ng plato, kubyertos at baso na gagamitin namin para mamaya.

Si Kaizen naman ay abala sa pagtimpla ng sarili nitong kape.

Pinaghila ako ni Kyle ng upuan kaya naman agad akong umupo at nagpasalamat dito.

"You want some coffee?" tanong ni Kaizen sa akin.

"Nag-milk na ako kanina, salamat."

Nagkibit-balikat lang si Kaizen at sumimsim sa sariling tasa nito bago umupo sa harapan ko.

"Darn this hang over." reklamo pa nito.

"Kasalanan niyo naman kung bakit kayo nalasing."

"It was Saviel's idea. Nagpustahan kami kagabi pero mukhang naloko kami ng babaeng 'yon."

Inihain ni Kuya Senri ang niluto nitong chicken adobo sa mesa habang si Kyle naman ang naghanda ng kanin.

"Eat." utos ni Kuya Senri bago nito hinubad ang suot na apron at umupo sa tabi ko.

Kumuha na ako ng kanin at ulam habang sila ay abala pa sa sarili nilang mundo.

"Calvin called me earlier." panimula ni Kyle. "He said we were participating in a certain Battle of the Band."

Napatingin kaming tatlo kay Kyle. "Bakit kailangan nating sumali sa ganyan?"
