CHAPTER FOUR

THALLIA

Kahit hindi pa tumutunog ang alarm clock, ginulo at ginising na ako ni Mama, napasimangot na lang tuloy ako sa kanya, parang mas excited pa sya saking umalis eh.

Napakamot na lang ako ng ulo at tumayo na't naligo. Mamayang 7:00 am pa ang alis namin, 4:13 pa lang ngayon.

Sayang yung sana mahigit isang oras ko pang tulog. Haay ayaan mo na nga yun, mas maganda naman kung mas maaga.

At exactly 5:30 nakaupo na ako sa upuan ng bus. Ang pwesto ko ay pangalawa sa hulihan. Mas maganda kasi kung sa dulo kasi mas tahimik.

Alam ko na kasing bandang gitna ang pwesto ng grupo nila Yesha eh, pano ko nalaman? Anduon na kasi sila Risa at Nelyn so sigurado dyan din sila pupwesto.

Umupo na ako sa bandang bintana at hinintay yung dalawa, saktong sakto at sa bandang kanan ng mga upuan ng bus ay pangtatluhan, pandalawahan naman sa kaliwa.

May number pa ang bawat seat, at number 48 ang seat ko, pinalast pa talaga.

Nagsend na rin ako ng text sa kanilang dalawa na andito na ako, nagreply naman si Bianca na ang bilis ko raw at ang reply ni Chloe siguro raw sobrang excited ako at ang aga ko.

At tawa na lang ang reply nya, hindi ko na sila inabala pa at nagsaksak na lang ako ng earphone sa tenga dahil umiingay na ang paligid.

BIANCA

Nakarating din!

Hinihingal akong umakyat ng bus at hinanap si Thallia, past 6 pa lang naman kaya alam kong hindi pa ako late.

Habang hinahanap ko si Thallia ang daming nag-aalok sa akin na tumabi sa kanila, pero ningingitian ko lang sila at politely declining, because I dont wanna be rude to them.

Isa rin kasi sa sinabi ni Daddy sa akin na I should be nice to my new classmates, that's why I am. But its not that Im pretending to be good with Thallia and Chloe huh? Don't get the wrong idea. Im sincerely nice to them.

Nang mapunta na ako sa bandang dulo, I see Thallia gazing in the window with her earphones on.

"Thallia!" I called her out.

Lumingon naman sya sa akin at ngumiti, I just return the smile and seat beside her. Well I can say na she choose a nice seat huh.

Maybe If she chooses to seat in front or in the middle, maybe I will drag her out.

"You choose our seat quiet well huh." Sabi ko sa kanya while fixing my things.

"Yeah, alam ko kasing hindi nating maeenjoy ang trip pag maingay." Bulong naman nya sa akin at tumango tango pa. I just let out a small laugh.

I think its really nice to have a friend huh. And then suddenly Chloe came out of nowhere.

"Sabi ko na andito kayo eh haha." She said while panting, and like I do, she seat beside me and start organize her things.

Napailing na lang si Thallia at bumalik sa window gazing nya. While Chloe start to fish out her phone and starts typing something.

Hmm, what should I do now? Maybe its better to just read a book that I haven't finish reading yet?

After I think almost 30 minutes, 7:47 to be specific our adviser came and announce that we'll be leaving.

Really, Filipino time.

You know what? I really hate that custom. If 7:00 am is the exact time that we will be leaving, why don't we follow that? That's why I hate-----

"Hey, ayos ka lang? Mukha kang naiirita." Chloe suddenly tap my shoulder.

Nagulat naman ako at napaharap sa kanya.

"Ah wala yun, sobrang late lang kasi natin umalis eh." Explain ko sa kanya at inilabas nalang ang tubig ko. Maybe I better need to control myself, my emotions going out.

"Masanay ka na haha lagi namang ganun." Sagot nya sa akin at napapailing na lang sya.

Tumango na lang ako and give her a smile.

I just continue what am I reading and ignore the irritating noise that my classmates make.

(5:19 pm)

"Bianca, andito na tayo gising na." I suddenly feel that my left shoulder is shaking.

When I open my eyes, the blank faces of the two is the first thing I see. I suddenly seat properly and look at the surroundings.

"Ay sorry, napahaba ang tulog ko." I told them while smiling, well I feel embarass a bit.

Thallia's nod her head and Chloe just laugh at me. When I stand on my seat, I just got curious so I both ask them what do they expect in our camping.

Well to tell you the truth, I don't wanna come here, but my father said that I need to come. So I have no choice you know.

Sabay-sabay nalang kaming bumaba at nakitang nagtitipon sila sa harap ng isang wooden cabin.

Hmm pwede naman na, medyo malaki din ito kaya lang mukha luma na at bihira lang syang gamitin.

Lumapit lang kami dun at narinig ang sinasabi ni Mam.

"Okay Class, maaga tayo nakarating dito kaya ituring nyo ng free time nyo na ito. Bukas na tayo magsisimula sa activities na gagawin natin so bukas na magsisimula ang 3 days at 2 nights stay natin dito. And one more thing, your room will gonna be separted with your gender, in short dalawa lang ang room." After she said that majority of my classmates groan.

Well I want to groan to, but that will be look rude so I just use my straight face.

Argh! So annoying! Why there are only 2 rooms? Really, is this school really private?!

"Lika na Bianca." Thallia says at pumasok na sya sa loob.

I just nod my head and follow her, while Chloe just giving me a smile.

-the next day-

"Girls, gising na! Mahuhuli kayo sa breakfast!" Mam shouted at us.

I just secretly roll my eyes at tumayo na, I checked the time and its just 5:40 in the morning for goodness sake.

"Morning." Thallia greeted me with her bored look, I look at my left and I see Chloe looking like she's half sleeping..

I stretch my muscles and then pinuntahan na si Chloe. Thallia is already waiting for us.

"Ano sabi?" Ask Chloe to Thallia while yawning, we came late because Chloe is not yet on herself.

Thallia is already sitting at the not that big dining table and at the looks of it she's waiting for us. There's a three plate of I think our breakfasf on the table.

Thallia's just shrug her shoulder and answer Chloe's question.

"Wala, pagkatapos lang raw nating mag-almusal simulan na natin ang first activity." And then she starts eating.

My gaze turn on the plate and I feel like frowning.

One piece of bread, an egg, and a milk? What the hell?! I know that Breakfast is the important meal of the day, but what the crap is this?!

"Hey Bianca, okay ka lang? Ayaw mo ba nyan? Pwede tayong---" Chloe suddenly said to me.

I immediately look at her while waving my hands and shaking my head.

"Ah no, no! Ano lang kasi nagrarice ako kapag breakfast. Pero okay na to." And again I give her a smile and start to eat my breakfast.

Well, what I should I do? As if I have a choice.

"Ano nga palang una nating activity?" Chloe ask again.

Dumarami na rin ang tao dito kaya its starting to get annoying nanaman.

"Narinig ko na team building ata." I answer to her and I just got a nod as a response.

"So boring." Thallia suddenly snorted out.

Chloe laugh and tap her shoulder as if she feels sympathetic with her and says,

"Haha dama kita dyan." I just laugh at the two of them.

After we ate breakfast, diretso kami sa gubat dahil dun raw gagawin ang una naming activity.

Well if I am just a normal teenager, I would enjoy that kind of activity. Oh and one more thing, I'm really surprise the sudden change of mood in Yesha's group.

You know? Its like they never fight before in our classroom saying that and suchs.

"Bes! Lika dito Selfie tayo!" Junie gigled and cling to Yesha.

"Dapat maganda ako dyan ah." Yesha said back and then hug Junie like they are sisters. And then the two of them gigled.

Alright? What's with them? And then Chloe caught me looking in their way, I just smile to her and she just give me a laugh.

"Ganyan talaga sila." She says while shaking her head, what kind of relationship is that.

I just sigh and continue what am I doing. Maybe I will try to enjoy myself doing this nonsense stuff.

And then, in a snap, we finish the activity and its already 7:38 pm. Our dinner is 8:00 pm so we have enough time left to get clean.

"Grabe kapagod!" Chloe said while massaging her shoulder.

"Hindi ganun ka exciting." Thallia says while giving a shrug shoulder.

"I think, mas maganda kung maligo na tayo habang may time pa. Mamaya na kasi yung dinner time." I says to them and start to go to our room.

"Yeah, nanglalagkit na rin ako. Kairita!" Chloe answers and then start to walk. Thallia nod her head and stand up.

When we finish to wash up, bumalik na rin kami sa dining room and start to eat our dinner.

After that, we go back to our room because Mam Gomez said that we have a curfew, like what the F is that right?

Nang humiga na ako, I suddenly look at the ceiling. What the hell dad? You said that it was going to be fun, what is this?!

And tommorow is another hell, so maybe I really need to rest right now.
