Royally Screwed (EXO)

Chapter 1: Either way I'm screwed My jaw literally hit the floor after hearing what my parents had to say. I was shocked beyond belief. You wouldn't believe me too. "You're kidding right?" I asked just to be sure that it wasn't a prank. I looked around just to make sure there weren't a hidden camera in the room. "No son. Everything we told you is the truth," my mother responded with a forced smile. It seemed she wasn't happy about the arrangement, but my father on the other hand saw it as a good thing. I could see it through his sickly grin that this man had known all along about this arrangement and was extremely happy about it. "So... you're telling me that I have to move, change school and basically make such a great life change because I have some sort of arranged marriage with some guy, halfway across the world," I spoke very slowly to make sure I understood every single detail they told me. "He is not just some guy. He is the Prince of EXO Island and next in line to be a King," my father said, giving me a disappointed look that I apparently disrespected this so-called prince by calling him some guy. "And it's not exactly a simple arranged marriage," my mother added with a look of concern. Nothing is ever straightforward. There's always a catch, right. "What is it?" I asked already annoyed by my dad so called good news. These are the times I hate being part of a rich well-respected family, who apparently has ancestors who were great nobleman from EXO Island who had done their people a great service. Now because I'm part of this family I'm a suitable candidate to be the prince's bride. Thank you my ancestors for ruining my life. "You won't be the only one," she said in a low tone, but it was loud enough for me to hear. "WHAT?! Don't tell me, he is already got like 4 wives and I'm going to be number 5," I asked in shock. This just keeps getting better and better. Note the sarcasm. "No. He is still single and will only marry one person, but a number of candidates have been selected and the prince will be given the option to choose who he will marry," my father explained but it didn't make the situation any better. Not only did I have to move my whole life to an island but I also have to make an effort and woo the prince, if I wanted him to marry me. That's bullshit. I'm not about that life. I don't know him, I don't want him and I love my life the way it is. "Why should I go? If you haven't realized I'm a guy. Isn't he looking for a wife?" I asked looking for any way out. "He is bisexual, so both male and female is a fair game," my father responded. "Thank you, Dad. Making it sound like I'm going on a game show, doesn't makes it less crazy. This is all bullshit," I responded, rolling my eyes. "Watch your language," he scolded me. "Why does it have to be me? Why can't it be Baekboem? He is the older one," I asked, now getting desperate. "He might be older but you would have a better chance with the prince. It's no secret you are prettier and more feminine," my father said but I didn't want to acknowledge the compliment. I was too angry for that. "I'm not pretty but handsome and what makes you think that the prince doesn't like his guys more manly than feminine," I said. "Your brother is already in a relationship with a lovely girl and we are definitely not going to break the lovebirds apart," my mother chirped in again but immediately gave me a guilty look. She obviously felt bad about forcing me to do this, but never went against her husband's words. "So instead you decided to ruin my life and ship me off to get married. What if the guy doesn't even choose me, since I'm basically going to fight for his attention with a whole bunch of people who have prepared for this their whole lives? What will I do then? Just come back home and pick up the pieces of my shattered future!" I lashed out. "You are going to EXO and that is final! You are not getting out of this. Go and pack up your things because you are leaving tomorrow," ordered my father, ending the discussion. He stood up and left the room. My mother slowly followed him as she gave me an apologetic look. Maybe I should just run away, but considering that all I know is a lavish lifestyle, I wouldn't survive 5 minutes on my own in the real world. There is really no getting out of this situation. Either way I'm screwed.
