Dimension Traveller

Pain, sadness, loneliness that’s all I could feel when they were gone from my world forever. They wouldn’t come back and I couldn’t go to them. My parents, my everything were gone and I had 3 siblings that I would have to take care of. While they were in heaven resting I could only stay here and bear the whole burden myself. I wasn’t ready for that. After all, I was just a child who was 10 years old. At that age I was already an orphan with a family. At that time, I was pretty lost and in shock. The case was concluded as an accident but I knew full well it was a murder. Someone had killed them. My parents were parents that anyone wished to have. They always used to fulfil our wishes, in return all they asked us was to study. I miss them a lot. It was something I couldn’t handle. How could I accept this when they were the only ones who were truly kind to us? The night it happened I could do nothing but cry. There was no one to comfort me and be by my side in those times and my siblings were too young to realize what had happened. Only one thought streamed and was filled in my head, ‘I WILL KILL THEM, WHOEVER DID THIS I WILL KILL THEM!’ I had no one with me until my aunt took us in, she was a very kind person who took care of me and my younger siblings unconditionally. But I knew I couldn’t rely on her forever so I did what I could including teaching my siblings, helping my aunt and finding jobs as soon as I graduated. After all those years, I was finally over with my traumatic past. However, I would never forget those murderers who took my mom and dad away from me. I had started searching for them but all I could do was find small clues that led to dead ends. I sighed. Just thinking about it made my head hurt and I decided that sleeping might do me some good. Taking the car keys to Uni was one of the things I hated doing on Monday mornings. I sighed. People from my high school were mostly bad guys but once you got to know them, they were better than those people who pretended to be friends. They were sarcastic, mocked people, and even got into fights. However, when someone actually needed help they went to their aid straight away and that’s what I liked about them the most. Thinking about those memories made me forget all about my stress and exhaustion. third person P.O.V  Remembering and becoming aware of her surroundings once more she focused on driving. ‘How I wish time could reverse itself and I could go back to those non-worrying days.’ she let out a slight gasp at my own thinking then thought of something. Exceeding the limit had been one of Cora’s favourite things in the past. So she decided to lighten up the morning with that feeling a little bit. Smirking she said, “Alright then let’s do it”! She put the gear into position and pressed on the accelerator. SWOOSH was all she could hear while driving. She didn’t care what situation was she in she just wanted the feelings she felt in her former years. Sirens wailed behind her as she pushed on the accelerator even harder and she became excited. She turned around on the narrow streets avoiding the people in it. Some were friends while some were enemies but all of them cheered as she drove past them. They could hear the police saying “Stop, stop you will have to pay a fine if you stop now but you will go to jail if you keep on going!’ She didn’t care. She drove even faster and got out of the police’s sight. She stopped right around her Uni. She took pride in her driving skills for a reason and that was what caused her to be a leader. Once arriving at Uni in her black boots, denim jacket, a red crop top and black tights, she was surrounded by people. She was a popular figure considering her reputation in academics and sports. She tried being polite and said hello to everyone with a bright smile. Everyone was very excited as she was someone who was known around the suburbs. Friends, teachers, students and people in the surrounding area all gave her the respect she deserved. She went to her friends and asked what they did on the weekend. They all smiled and began talking until the bell rang. Her friends were people others were either afraid of or didn’t want to get close to. Some even wondered if she were friends with them out of pity. Nevertheless, those who were in her circle knew well enough she didn’t do it because she felt sorry for them. She did it out of pure sincerity and genuinely wanted to be friends with them. “Wanna guess what stunt I pulled off today?” “I don’t think I wanna know”, Hannah said clenching her books. She was an introvert and usually was called a….. Nerd. The students didn’t know what she was thinking when she made friends with her. “Hannah, you worry too much!” said Jake who came on his bike. “Well I for one, can guess it. You pulled off an outrageous stunt, didn’t you?!” someone pitched in excitedly. Cora looked back and grinned. Her two friends were hanging on a tree nearby. “Hey Noah, what are you doing up there with Mia? Anyways come down, I’ve got something to tell ya!” She exclaimed before both of them jumped off the tree. These two were athletes in their previous years that were not to be messed with. They looked around before realizing their delinquent friend was missing. “Hey, where’s Ryder? I haven’t seen him since this morning” Jake questioningly looked around. “Aw, the baby boy’s missin’ me?” They turned around and looked at the tall handsome man. “Hey Ryder” “Hey guys, so, what was the commotion about you were on with earlier? I could tell it was something interesting from a mile afar” Cora opened her mouth and giggled then spoke, “Well, you see…..”  Her voice didn’t reach its end. She became confused and tried again. ‘WHY, WHY CAN’T I SPEAK?’ Everything in her environment was getting blurry by the minute. Cora fell to the ground with a loud bang. She looked at the crowd of friends that was besieging her. She saw their worried expressions and tried raising her hand up only to find herself out of breath. She closed her eyes and blacked out. Ryder’s P.O.V I didn’t know what to do. My friends were panicking as we witnessed our leader falling to the ground. Then I started doing something I had never done. I became afraid and imagined the consequences that could happen to Cora. The girls ran to her and started crying. I and the guys just stood there, motionless. This had never happened to us, so we just didn’t know how to react. I quickly came back to my senses as Jake shook me telling told me and Noah to carry her. We all agreed and tried lifting her. Who knew by doing this we wouldn’t see the sunrise the next day? As soon as we touched her we felt extremely dizzy and fainted.
