chapter seventeen: gender reveal

i walked out of my study back to the bedroom after a shirt meeting both the doctor. me and rein my mother in law went to check up my belly at the doctor's office. he dis the check but using the machine most doctors use. he looked at the health of the baby and the gender. i know the gender and rein were out of the room so she doesn't know the gender. rein also suggest i tell the prince myself and the doctor agreed too. i walked in the bedroom with the prince already there and in his pf's. it was nine pm but he had a few things to do in the morning so he wants to sleep early. 

"hey willaim," i said and close the room door. the prince turned around and when he saw me he smiled and walked up to me. "can i talk to you before you go to sleep?" i asked and the prince stopped in front of me. he grabbed my hand and he pulled me towards the bed. 

"of course but you look tired, let sit down first." the prince says and he sat me down on the bed. i was out the whole day shopping with rein since it was taken over with the doctor's visit. rein and i got more clothes for after i give birth since i won't gain anyways ever. once the baby weight is gone I'm back to my normal body weight. 

"Okay, i don't want you to be too surprised but i found out the gender of the baby yesterday with your mother. don't worry your mother doesn't know but you need to know. do you want to know?" i asked and the prince raised his eyebrows. i just stared at the prince who tightens the grip on my hand. 

"tel me, sleep can wait." the prince moved my hand to his lips and kissed the back of my hand. i sighed and smiled as the prince moved our hands to his lap. he rubbed the back of my hand gently with his thumb. i put my free hand on my belly and rub it as it was pretty big now. 

"it's a boy," i say and the prince looked shocked. "the doctor said it's best to tell you right away but you were busy with your pack when i got home," i say and the prince shook his head. he leaned in and kissed my head sweetly. i smiled and the prince kissed my cheek next. the prince put his free hand over the belly and rubbed it gently as he smiled down at me.

"I'm so happy." the Prince says and he leaned in putting his forehead on mines. "we should talk about the baby more after i get home tomorrow since i do have meetings tomorrow in the mornings. i have a lot of time after my meetings." the prince says and i nodded. we were tired and we need to sleep. 

"let me get ready to sleep then, i need it as i have a few things to do with rein and my mom in the morning. can't wait till tomorrow," i say and the prince let go of my hand and i got off the bed. he removed his shirt he was wearing and went into bed. i walked into the walk-in closet changing into more comfy clothes since i was in a skirt and a loose shirt so my belly has room. 

it was the next day and i was in my study when the prince walked in after knocking. i put the last of my work away as the prince sat in front of me with papers. i was confused but saw it was placed he wrote down of school and other daycares whenever we needed one for future reference. they had the last name as us so it was all family ties. the prince was in comfy clothes which means he just got done with his work and changed beforehand. 

"This feels weird being in your study, not mines." the prince says and i chuckled as it was true. i was the one always walking into the prince's study, not mines. i straighten my back and looked at the papers the prince brought in. "i want you to circle the new you think it the best and then I'll look over them after. i think homeschooling is good but i want him to make friends too. also, i put family down nearby that i know they are okay to babysit. you can choose which family is good for you." the prince says and i nodded as i continued to look down at the papers. 

"you know now that we know the gender, we should think of names. i want the name to be important since it is our first child. i know you want more than one as your mother told me you want a big family." i say and the prince looked shocked. i have been hanging out with his mother for the last few days and she told me a lot of things since she knows were expecting one soon. 

"i mean my mother is right, two or three kids would be great." the prince says and he pulled an empty paper from a pile. he grabbed a pen and he started to write down names. "i like to name my first boy to be named from a grandfather of mines. i have a few of them i want to remember and i do promise them to name them after my kids when i was a kid." the prince says and i smiled. of course, the prince has special people he remembers. i don't mind that choose to name after someone important in the prince's life. 

"i like that, the next one is going to be named by me?" i questioned and the prince smiled as he handed me the paper of names. i saw 'charlie, Henry, Albert.' " i heard of these names before from your mother. she showed my pictures too." i say and the prince looked surprised. he got up from my seat and he walked by my side. 

"Albert was my father's father and he was like a second father to me. he was always telling me 'i can do it' whenever i feel down as a kid.he was there for me from time to time but not all the time. "henry and charlie are they related to my mother's side. charlie was my mother's father and he was also like a second dad but he was almost there for me 24/7. he helps me whenever i had trouble with school. henry was Charlie's brother and he was also there for me too like charlie. i smiled and the prince put his arm around my shoulders. 

"you can decide since you want to name him first. i wish i can meet them now that you describe them but I'm too late for that," i say and the prince leans in and kissed my head. they were all part of the army and rein told me they all didn't make it. it hit the prince hard but he grew stronger because of it. 

"if you say so, I'm playing to tell the pack tomorrow as i trust them. we can tell our parents a few days from now so I'll plan those too. you can trust me and you can rest as i can take care of everything." the prince says and i nodded as i looked at all the paper he gave me with all the choice i have. i trust the prince so whatever he plans will go as plan.

(prince William perspective) 

i walked out of the dining room with kyle by my side and ian. we got done with a small meeting talking about an update of the south and telling them the gender of my baby boy. they were happy that I'm getting a boy and I'll for sure be a good father but a strict one too. i have to agree with them in that but the princess will hold me back sometimes. she is the kindest person i ever met.

"you know the luna is going to be thought on you if you're too harsh on your son. I'm sure of it." kyle said and i shook my head as i can agree with that too. we walked to the stairs and ian and kyle went there separate ways as kyle moved in my mansion and is also helping me set up the room for the baby. i all prepped for it as i want to best for him. now i know the gender i know what basic decoration to put in the room. i walked in my study planning to finish up a little paperwork in advance for tomorrow and when i walked in i saw the princess sitting in my seat and she had a small paper in one of her hands and he other hand was on the belly rubbing it gently. 

"Hey, sorry i wanted you to give this to you during the meeting but i deced to wait. i hope that's okay?" the princess says and i smiled. i closed my study door and walked up the princess grabbing the small paper from her hand. i put it on my desk and looked at the princess. 

"do you want to talk about our baby now, my paperwork can wait till tomorrow," i say and the prince smiled as i moved to the seat in from of my desk. i don't mind the princess sitting in my seat. "so we can talk about the future as in the public wise. also, I and kyle started to make the baby room. i want your opinions on it." i say and the princess looked surprised. 

"i shouldn't be surprised but i am. i can leave the baby room to you, i just hope you don't overdo it. my mom said that my dad overdid it for my baby room." the princess says as i sat down in the seat. "right now i want to talk about our child's future. it important as i have three months left." the princess says and i grabbed the princess's hand gently rubbing the top of her hand with my thumb. 

"that very true and I'll make sure to not go overboard, princess," i say and the princess nodded. "i personally want him to be hidden for a while. my parents waited for a year before they brought me out to the public fully. they were scared of me being kidnapped since i was there the first prince of there generation. since the south is planning to attack. i say we do the same till it safe." i say and the princess nodded. 

"i can agree with that. I'm sure your father and mother will say the same if we ask them advice to reveal him to the public or they'll tell us to move in back to the castle for a while too at least that what my mom and dad will say." the princess says and i can see the princess father saying that. i have to mail my father and see his option on this. 

"alright and for the education part I'll reach out to the school I'll get more information and more information about my family members you don't know yet but i trust them very much," i say and their princess put her hand over my hand. i smiled at this as that made me note to meet them beforehand so she's not scared if we have too let them babysit them.  

"i trust you in every way so just do what's best for us and our future son. also, we should think about the name with our parents when we meet up with them soon. I'm sure they can't wait to hear updates about our first child as my mother said she wants to hear more and that included your mother." the princess said. i sighed as i knew my mother would ask that. 

"I'll do that and we can talk some more. let go back to our room and rest up. i have a lot of work in the morning so we can talk more after we're done with our work okay?" i say and pull the princess hand from the grip kissing the back of her hand. the princess smiled and she blushed slightly. i can't wait till my first boy comes and i can teach him everything i know. 

it was the next day and i was in my study finishing up my work before i meet up with the princess to talk about our future son's life getting more deeper into school and babysitting. kyle was next to me leaning against my desk and reading the south notes i got so far. ken was coming later to talk in my study about more information he has from his father. 

"so since we know the gender of the baby, what name have you deced for your first son?" kyle asked and he looked at me while giving me back my notes. he had a smirk on his face and i knew he was waiting for the answer. i rolled my eyes as kyle moved to the seat in front of me and he sat down looking at me again. i sighed and of course, i trust my partner kyle. 

"Charle, i loved Charle and i promised him i name him after my first child when i was a kid. i have to keep up to my promise. the next will be named after the princess. i want at least three or two kids but that depends on the princess, to be honest." i say and kyle looked shocked. he shook his head as he knew three was too much. i know other people in the village with more kids though. 

"i say the best is two kids you'll get. three is a maybe. i like that and i do remember i met you during the time Charle died and you mention that to me. i just wonder what your mother would say since it is her family side. so have you talked about your son's future? school and when the public should interact with him." kyle says and i sighed. i was a step ahead of him. 

"I and the princess talked about it in her study yesterday and we have more to talk about today after i finish up my work today. we do the best for him and we'll meet up with my parents in two days. i already contacted my father so he knows we're coming in two days." i say and kyle nodded. 

"one step ahead of me, you know i need to take note of this after me and my mate have are a kid. you know since the red pack thing is over. i think it time for me and my mate to move on in our family life." kyle said and i raised my eyebrows. i know Leon has a son as well name fin so I'll ask him about advice soon. 

"there's going to be a screaming child in the mansion so i have to prep the mansion too when that time comes. for now, i know most of you will have kids soon since the red pack problem is over so i can't wait for all of you to say 'i'm moving out.' for that reason." i say and kyle chuckled as he knew that was going to happen too. 

"Just wait for it alpha, the new generation of the pack will be made soon. the new pack members will find their mates soon and they will continue adding on to the pack. should we leave the red pack to become one with us? I'm sure ken would find it and he can work for us. his family will love him for that though he will ruin the alpha line of his family. we can work out something right?" kyle questioned and he made a good point. i don't want to ruin the alpha line in ken's family. 

"we'll talk to him about that. for now, let talk about how to work with ken's pack to protect the north when they attack," i say and men nodded as he leaned in and he looked over the notes i had again.

(maria ann's perspective) 

i was sitting outside at the balcony outside the bedroom. i been out here for a long time ever since the whole red pack thing and now i can go out here enjoying the fresh air. i was sitting on a chair rubbing my belly. i was big and it was hard to move around now but i managed somehow. then i saw someone in the forest running and i knew it was a red pack member. just then i realized it was ken. he went to jump and landed on the balcony to Join me. 

"hey maria, where's the prince? i got the notes he needs." ken said and he looked at me. he leaned against the railing of the balcony while he held the notes in his small bag. i sighed and talked to the prince from my mind. "Hey William, ken is here with the notes. I'll send him your way." 

"the prince's study is above the back garden doors so you can go in and he'll open the window for you or you can walk to the back door and someone can lead you there to his study," i say and ken nodded as he fixed himself to start running again. 

"i knew that but i;m not sure the prince will let me walk around his house just yet." ken said and i mentally slapped myself. of course he knew that. just then the prince came back to me talking to me in my mind. "I'll meet up with him in the garden so tell him to go to the garden. go inside the room, we have a lot to talk about after my meet up with ken." i sighed again and looked at ken confused. 

"he'll meet up with you in the garden, just wait there," i say and get up from my chair. i knew the prince doesn't trust ken just yet so of course he doesn't want me alone with him just yet. ken looked concerned as i managed to get up and walked to the balcony door. ken rushed as he opened the balcony door for me. i chuckled as i walked in the room. 

"thank you, you should go now and meet-" i said and then i felt a hand on my back and i turned to see the prince looking at ken clam and ken looked back at him. "William..." i said and the prince looked at me smiling. 

"go inside, it cold and i don't want you to freeze outside wearing this." the prince said and i looked at the dress i was wearing. it was starting to get windy actually so i would have gone inside at one point. "thank you ken, go to the garden and my partner will meet up with you." the prince said and ken nodded as me and the prince walked in the room. ken closed the balcony door and he jumped off the balcony and ran to the garden. 

"William! he was being nice and you don't have to scared ken away," i yelled and the prince looked at me anoyed. "can i talk to ken for a few minutes without you worrying the being an alpha?" i questioned and the princes put his hand on my shoulders firmly and looked at me with a serious face.

"I'm sorry, I'll let you talk to him but i i don't trust him yet. you'll never know if he'll do something." the Prince said and i shook my head. 

"he's focused on the south and right now trying to protect the north as you agreed that get guards the forest. I'm sure he won't try anything as he wants to protect me too by working with you," i say and the prince's face softens as he hugged me by my shoulders. 

"I'm sorry, I'll lighten up a bit okay? for now, stay inside till my meeting of ken. we have to talk about our future family." the prince says and i nodded as he kissed my head. the prince let go of me and he walked out of the room going to meet up with ken at the garden. this was the first time i yelled at the prince but at least he understood why i was yelling at him. 

two hours passed and the prince came back to the room with me in bed sitting up and looking at kids' books that rein bought for us to out in the future baby room. she got ten baby and toddler books when he gets older. my mom helps her out on this one. I know my dad and Richard are helping the prince with the baby room to gift things for learning since that the main thing we're going to focus on. 

"Hey princess, sorry it took long. so are these the books that my mother sent you?" the prince said as he removed his shirt and removed his jeans he was wearing. he threw his clothes in the laundry basket. i shook my head as he does this often. he joined me on the bed and he hugging me by my waist pulling me close to him. 

"Yeah, they're cute and thought i never thought i ever hold these. so what happened with ken?" i asked curiously. the prince sighed and he leaned in to kiss me sweetly. "you know that was sort of our first argument." i say as the prince pulls away from the kiss. the prince smiles and he kissed my cheek. it has been a while since we touched each other sexually. he knows we can do it while I'm pregnant but he doesn't want to risk it. i can say he does stay in the bathroom longer then he should sometimes. 

"i know and it's my fault why you were angry. ken said that his father is leaving the skin will meet the south to live with him in the mountains. his father's friend lives in the south and he'll update his father on what going on. so far they started to train for the war and i will be doing the same. ken will do that same too. he also will meet my father too so my father can clam the mountains as part of the north." the prince says and i smiled as I'm glad that Richard is willing to let ken be part of his land. 

"that good to hear, at least ken will be part of the north soon. i just hope the south doesn't actually start a war, it been years since the first war that i learned off. rein your mother said it's bad Timing that this happening now that we're having our first child." i say and the prince shook his head. he leans in and kissed my cheek. 

"that true but just be happy we're going to be parents and we'll teach him the good things. if the south does start the war then we can handle it. i heard from my father that we won the war the first time so we can again this time. victory is on our side princess." the prince say and i nodded as i learned that from school too. history was the worst subject but i learned a lot of stuff i somehow to remember. 

"i hope your right about that. so what time are we leaving to meet up with our parents? rein still wonder what the gender is." i say and the prince smiled. he leaned against my head as he was tired after all the meetings he had today. "how will we tell them? we have to plan it out now. you know back in the city we had pink and blue as the example for guessing girl and boy." i say and the prince took an interest. 

"that new to me and it makes sense. we can do that by asking them what gender they think it is. I'm sure my father and your father will think it a boy. not sure my mother will say to a boy or girl. same for your mother." the prince says and i chuckled. my dad would say boy for sure. my mom would say girl for sure as i know she loves a daughter to look after. 

"my moms say girl but she'll be shocked that it's a boy," i say and the prince kissed my head picking up a book looking at the pages looking disgusted. "i know your mother will say it's a girl too since she does say she wants a little girl she wants to play with," i say and the prince looked at me shocked. i knew his mother more than him shockingly. the prince chuckled and he put the book back in the pile of children's books. 

"well, there be going to be shocked when we tell them it's a boy. so for the schooling..." the prince said as i look at him and we started a serious talk. this was a future that will be good or bad. hope it's good and our future boy doesn't have to go thought the war as the war will take longer to be over once it's started.
