when the darkness fades

chapter 5

I was getting a final check over from my doctor, he said everything was all good apart from I had a bout of amnesia from my accident, I could remember that my name was Indiana Blackwood and everything up until my mum started seeing someone else but I couldn’t remember what her looked like or even what his name was. Even though people where calling my Ms. Grey I just thought it was my mum’s maiden name, so I did not correct them. 

Grammy took me back to her house with was located on a gorgeous property own by her eldest son, I knew I had Drake and Luca who where my uncles, which from what I remember I loved them to bits and they loved me, but I had a pit in my tummy that something happen to make them forget me, which made me a little sad. 

Grammy asked what I was thinking about to give me the look that was on my face, ‘ I just feel sad when I think about the uncles like I did something to make them not love me’ I said, ‘oh hunnie, you could never do anything to make them not love you, they will love you and protect you always’ Grammy assured which made me feel a little better. Grammys went into the kitchen talking about what I would like to do when all of a sudden she went quite, I rushed in not knowing what I would find, only to find her blinking herself out of a vision or something which was weird, but before I had time to question her, her phone started buzzing she answered it ‘sounds good, I’m sure she would love to, what time? Ok, see you then’.

 Grammy looked at me and said that was Luca and he wanted to know if I would like to go and have dinner with him and his better half around 6ish. I said yes with the biggest grin, I couldn’t wait to see him or Drake for that matter. Grammy finished showing me to my room and told me to shower and dressed and we would go a little early so I could spend more time with my uncle. When Grammy left, I went through my suitcase to find something appropriate something a little cute but casual, so I opted on jeans with a cute belt that looked more like a necklace then a belt and a cute purple top, I would figure out the rest after my shower, I walked into the bathroom and ran the water it felt like forever since I had a shower, don’t get me wrong I showered in the hospital but I was kind of hard to feel like you where clean. 

Grammy had all my favourite smells, I picked out a vanilla body washed and got under the hot water I felt so nice I washed and cleaned, after I finished I turned off the shower got out and used the matching vanilla body lotion all over my body, I had a sense I needed to smell and look my best which was strange but anyway, I finished and got dressed I looked myself over and thought that I didn’t really need any makeup maybe just some lip gloss, I did hair in a messy type braid which look good for the first time since I tried doing, must have been Grammy’s special shampoo and conditioner I thought. I did a final check and went out to see Grammy already and waiting for me, she did not seem to mind the wait as she was doing her crosswords. And off we went out the door.
