Chapter 10 - The recover

Ze was sitting in his office, waiting for his assistant to come with the girl that he had chosen for the conference. Although it looked like a random choice, the one that he was making at every University where he would go and teach, taking a student as his assistant, this time was different. He knew exactly what he was doing and waited for this moment for a very long time. Five hundred years to be more specific. He finally found her, and he made the move. He had a hint from a witch well-trained in ancient witchcraft, twenty years ago, and was his longest wait, in his almost one hundred years. The moment she walked into the conference room he knew. He knew right on the spot that the hint was correct and she was the one that he was waiting for such a long time. Only a slight change in her hair color could pass that she was not the same, but was only that minor detail. The rest was her. The anticipation feeling that he was having regarding her arrival was making him so weak that he knew he would be an embarrassment for his coven if this would have been found out. Luckily it was not, and his waiting was finishing soon. His head raised immediately, the moment his assistant entered his office. His eyes passed her, looking behind her. When he saw that she was alone, a fury covered his eyes.

He said in a lethal low voice,

" Where is she, Simone?"

The assistant Simone was looking very brave, but she knew that when her master was having that look on his face, was not something to joke around with.

" We might have a problem master. She was not feeling well when I went to get her. She was looking like she had seen death in her eyes. I presume that she started to remember something." she said. She decided that for the moment she will keep for herself the fact that the girl was in a handsome guy's arms, that had eyes only for her. She was aware that her master might not think straight and would ruin the plan that he made for centuries after he had lost her.

His jar dropped at the news,

" Impossible," he mumbled, " Just impossible."

Rose was indulging herself with a hot bath full of foam but she could still not release the shivers that she was having. Her mind was a fog, but she could still remember the coldness. Something that she had never experienced in her entire life. Her heart squeezed out of fear and panic, and for a moment it was like she was feeling again the same coldness. It was just not normal what had happened to her, and that saw in Tia's and Grey's eyes on the way back. They were panicked and were not hiding it. Gray refused to let her walk and even if she refused him at first she was grateful to him in the end for the fact that he brought her back to her apartment in his arms. She was unable to walk and was going to make a full of herself if she would have insisted on that. Tia was like a mama bear and after Gray left, more were pushed out on the door because he looked genuinely worried and would not want to leave her alone, Tia started to make herself tea and prepared the hot bath After asking her a few times if she was feeling ok and if she is sure that they don't need to go to the doctor, she dropped and let her be. Now she was sitting in the bath, trying to remember something but the episode was blank. And she was also afraid to try too much because she was having feeling that was not all of it. She heard a knock on the bathroom door and Tia showed her head at the door,

" May I come in?"

Rose smiled and nodded her head. She could not notice that Tia was red in her cheeks. Rose's curiosity prevailed,

" Why are you so red in cheeks? Is it because of the heat or...?'

Rose could have sworn that this was not possible but Tia got even redder.

" Don't be absurd. Is that Gray's friend came to check what happened with you and if you are ok. And he also brought some herbs for tea."

Rose looked at her mesmerized.

" And you like the guy? I have never seen you blushing for a guy."

And she was not joking. Although Laeticia was a hottie and guys would swirl around her, she was not the girl to be won so easily, or get blushed, for that matter.

Her eyes became dreamy when she answered Rose,

" Is not just the way that he looks, but his voice, and calm.." she took Roses's hands and continued, " I think I am in love."

Rose busted into laughter.

" Don't be absurd. Love at first sight?" and both of them started to laugh. Tia was the one that become serious the first.

" I am sorry. You with that episode today and I are filling your head with my nonsense."

Rose became serious too.

" I appreciate you did it. I feel like I am losing my mind. And I still am cold, even though this water is so hot."

Tia became preoccupied again and took her hands in hers.

" You are not cold, maybe is an impression that was left to you after what happened."

She nodded her head in agreement and she realized that maybe this was the case.

Tia continued,

" Let's not pretend anymore that there is no elephant in the room. What happened Rose? You scared the hell out of us."

Rose was feeling the tears in her eyes, but she was trying her best to hold them back.

" I swear I don't know Tia, I wish I could. Can you imagine that I don't remember anything But I am afraid to close my eyes because I know that if I make a little effort, or I lose control, I will slip again in that odd dream, or what it was?"

Tia said with a certain voice,

" Tonight you are sleeping with me. I don't take no as an answer."

" I wasn't even intended to" Rose whispered
