Getting to the university Tia went to her friend the secretary and even though she didn’t feel so convinced to leave Rose alone after she managed to take her from the house, she asked her to call her no matter what. Or to shout, someone would hear her and help her if needed.
Rose burster in laughter, making Tia a bit angry,
"I am not a baby Tia, you know I am with my feet on the ground, nothing will happen to me, don’t worry."
Tia answered back, exactly how Rose assumed,
" I know that for you it might have been something funny, but when I saw you down, in front of that elevator, and with the look so far away, it got me chills."
Rose felt a void in her stomach, remembering the guy in the elevator, but she tried not to show it, anyway Tia was in total panic.
Assuring her again that she will be fine made Tia go with the promise she will be back in exactly half an hour. She even asked Rose to come and sit with her in the secretary's office but she refused right away. She said that she couldn’t stay in a dusty office. In reality, she just wanted to be alone with her thoughts, clearing them about the shocking episode she had.
After Tia finally left, she started to wander in the corridors, remembering the classes she had, and the teachers that shared their wisdom with their students. After three long years, the last one arrived, and was ready to start in less than one week she started to feel a bit afraid about the future that awaits her after graduation. As much as she wanted to be strong sometimes like now she would feel the weight of her uncertain future. After her mother has passed, she wouldn’t have any real support eighter. She was realistic that she won’t be able to stay with Tia for as long as she hoped for. At some point her paths would separate, leaving her alone and ready or not, to take the life in the chest.
She was feeling like she would start to have a little bit of depression if she would think like this so closed her river of thoughts, just in case.
While wandering in the corridors she got to a water machine and felt like she is having thirsty from all that wondering ad grabbed herself a cup of water. She got a sip of water and turned around to go back to the meeting spot with Tia but her hand with the glass of water hit someone making the waterfall on the unfortunate.
Rose put her hand at her mouth with a big "OH" and wide up her eyes. Until she saw the unfortunate who just got a small shower. It was the guy from the elevator! She could never forget those eyes; she was pretty sure they will hunt her even in her dreams!
Her eyes were parallel with his chest until she saw who it was, so she went again parallel with the stain of water on his expensive suit and got red like a tomato.
It was such an awkward moment between them now. She was looking at a fixed point on the water she spread and he was looking at her with no expression. Only his eyes were full of life.
Rose raised her eyes at him in total ashamed and saw the storm from his eyes.
She passed the moment and now was looking at him in total confusion and thanked him out loud,
"Who are you?" and involuntarily took her hand to her mouth realizing the stupidity she just said.
The guy busted into laughter.
She couldn’t believe it. His manly laugh was sending shivers through her body. She started to be annoyed about the way this guy was making her feel.
"Probably I am the wrong guy at the wrong moment" he answered.
His answer made Rose show him a little smile too.
"I am sorry," she said. "I didn’t see anybody on these hallways since my arrival, so I had not even the smallest idea that someone would be behind me."
"Fair" he replied with a smile. "It was me who shouldn’t have stayed behind a woman with no warning to her. Probably I should be happy it was a glass full of water and not something else far more dangerous than you had in hand," he said with a smile, curving his mouth and showing a perfect pair of white teeth.
Rose started to laugh. All the tension went into thin air and they were sitting there now like someone who needs some clothes to change and someone else who passed the awkward moment and was enjoying talking with a total stranger.
He made the first move to introduce himself,
"I am Gray by the way. Usually, I look carefully where I stay," he leaned his hand with the most gorgeous smile she had seen.
She looked at him like he just landed from the sky right there on the spot for a few seconds before she shook his hand and to feel that tingling, she started to feel his laugh.
"I am Rose, and usually I don’t bathe people standing behind me." She said softly looking at him.
All the amusement went off, for both of them and the air started to be filled with something else. He was still holding her hand, or she, his, but wasn’t holding like for the greeting. They were feeling like touching each other would give them an idea about the strange feeling they were having but no, everything became even more confusing.
Unconsciously, they started to get closer to each other. They weren’t strangers anymore; they were feeling like they know each other forever.
"Rose," Gray whispered while he was caressing her cheek. He was having the look of a man who has been served with only salad his entire life and he just smelled a juicy stake but was too afraid to devour it because it will disappear.
Rose was thinking it was the small part of their brain that was still functional at this moment, that she should be afraid of this man. She doesn’t know him, he just gave her his name, that could be or not be his real one, but yet she wasn’t. She was feeling like he knows him forever and now she has him she shouldn’t leave him. She was dying to kiss him. To feel his lips and taste. And she could read on his look and face that he wanted the same, he just needs a hint from her.
But the bubble broke when Rose heard Tia calling her name. At the heard her name Rose jumped aside, right in time before Tia come after the corner and see the most awkward image.
Rose all blushed and with sparkling eyes, a man looking at her like he has lost someone most dear to him and with a stain of wet who Tia hopped to be water because they were near the source.
Like a mother arguing with her children, she placed her hands on the hips and with a bit too loud voice asked,
"What is this?"
