“Sasha, you need to wake up.” I heard a sweet voice in my ear. Feeling light kisses being trailed down my neck and arm. The sensation brought a smile to my face. I rolled over into the arms of my mate. Gosh I would never get over the feeling of saying those words.
“Mmm, good morning to you too.” I said smiling up at him. His black hair was tousled and wet. Evidence that he just got out of the shower.
“Good morning, baby girl. You know even with heightened senses you still sleep like a rock.” He laughed at me. I was released from the hospital yesterday. Since we got home Sam and I haven't done much of anything. Just laying around and other things, but we won’t go into detail right now. I pouted at him, I wanted to stay right here forever.
“What if we just stay in bed? We can face the world another day.” Sam laughed his chest vibrating my body.
“I wish we could but I get the feeling if we did Allison would be very upset.” I gave him a confused look before my brain made the connection. Today was the day of the ceremony. My eyes widened at the realization. Spinning around I checked the time on my bedside clock. It read a quarter to eight. I quickly jumped out of bed running into the bathroom.
“Sammy why didn’t you wake me sooner?” I called as I turned on the shower.
“Baby I tried. When I say you sleep like a rock. I mean it, it took everything but hitting you with a pillow and jumping on you to get you up.” I rolled my eyes before I got in the shower.
Once I did a quick wash I ran back into my room to get dressed. The room was empty so I didn’t bother wrapping myself in a towel. I quickly pulled on a pair of black underwear and a black sports bra that had a little lace at the top. Pulling out a pair of ripped jeans I quickly put them on. Going to my closet I tried to find a shirt. Deciding on a white deep red tank top. The weather was warm for the end of fall. Plus wolves always give off more heat than normal humans. Satisfied with my clothing choices I hurried down the stairs. I quickly pulled on my black converses.
“Baby girl you better not go out that door without eating first.” Sam called from the kitchen. He was always on my case about eating. Before I had always said I was on a diet for training. They usually bought it, or just didn’t want to challenge it. The real reason I would usually only eat once a day was because I never liked eating alone. Now that Sam and I live together I never have to worry about that. I bounded into the kitchen. Sam was at the stove cooking up some eggs. The entire room smelled of beacon. My stomach made a loud growl as I sat at the table watching him cook. Once he was done stirring the eggs Sam brought me over a cup of coffee. Giving me a kiss on my head. “Don’t worry everything will be done soon.” He assured me then made his way back to the stove.
As I sat there admiring the view our front door opened. In walked Allison and Alex. They always reminded me of ken and barbie, the it couple. It was kind of sweet seeing how much
Alex has changed since Allison came into his life. Sure he is still a pain in my ass but he’s more grown. He isn’t the wild rebellious kid he was not too long ago. Now he has this seriousness to him. His true Alpha has started to show through and I couldn’t be prouder.
“Morning guys, what smells so good?” Allison asked as they entered the kitchen.
“Good morning you are just in time for eggs, beacon, and toast.” Sam said not bothering to turn away from his food to see our guests. I was glad that I was lucky enough to have a mate that loves to cook, but let me tell you. Once he starts cooking there is no pulling him away and don’t even try to help. The last time I tried to help I was banned from the kitchen for a week. If we were normal human beings Sam would make the best chef. Sadly though being a Beta is kind of a full time job so I get the luxury of having his delicious food all to myself.
“Oh good I am starving.” Alex said plopping down in the chair to my left. While Allison took up the chair to my right. She rolled her eyes at his comment.
“We literally just ate before coming over here. How are you still hungry?” She asked, Ale gave her a shrug with his crooked devilish smile.
“What can I say I worked up a hell of an appetite last night.” Okay eww I did not need that information. Allison’s cheeks turned bright red as she averted her eyes to the floor.
“So Sasha are you ready to go shopping? I seriously need your help. One of the girls told me that we have to wear white after our test, but I have nothing in white. s**t, I totally forgot about that part.
“Yes it’s white undergarments for when you start the test. Then after it’s actually a blue dress because blue is our pack color.” I explained to her.
“Okay either way I need to go shopping. Do I look like someone that has dresses?” She asked sarcastically. We both laughed at her comment, because we were the same. Ask if we have pants, t-shirts, even leggings, and we have it. Ask to see our dresses and skirts. All you will find is a whole lot of nothing.
“Okay I’ll go with and help you.”
“Ladies and gentlemen breakfast is served.” Sam announced while he brought everything to the table.
Breakfast was amazing to say the least. We ate, talked, and laughed until we all had to get going. Before I followed Alex and Allison out Sam stopped me. “Here” he said handing me his credit card. I looked at him for a moment. “Get yourself something nice for tonight, and don’t worry about it. I want to night to be everything you ever wanted it to be.” He told me and placed a kiss on my forehead. I knew there was no use in arguing with him. So I took his card and gave him a long hard kiss. After pulling away he asked “Is it too late to change our minds and stay in bed?” I laughed giving his chest a playful slap.
“Yes it is. Now I have shopping to do and you have training. So get your ass moving.” I told him, making my way out the door. Pulling Sam out with me. Allison was already waiting outside in Alex’s car for me. Sam gave me one last kiss before we said goodbye.
As I got in the car I was surprised that Alex let her take it for the day. Before he said nobody ever would be able to drive his baby. I guess it's just another way to show that he has grown up. “So how did you swindle the keys from Alex?” I had to know. Allison gave me a knowing look.
“You will soon learn that when it comes to mates. They will do anything you want, and if they dont right away. Well lets just say they are always easy to persuade.” I was shocked at her response. Where was the shy innocent Allie that I had met.
“Dang girl losing the big red really gave you confidence. I like it.” I told her with a smile.
We have been at the mall for over an hour now and we still couldn't find the perfect dresses. We had said that if we couldn’t find at least one dress in this store then we were going to in jeans. I was skimming through the racks when it caught my eye. It was beautiful. Just a simple midnight blue, spaghetti strap with a split going down the right side to show off a little leg. I grabbed it off the rack and went to find Allison. She was across the store and as I approached it looked like she may have found the one as well.
“Hey Allie, will you come to the dressing rooms with me quickly? I want to try on this dress.” I held it out for her to see. Her eyes lit up when she looked at it.
“Yes, that dress is totally for you. I think I may have found one too.” She held a little lighter blue dress. It was strapless and had a trail of rhinestones going down the left side in a beautiful pattern. Making it look like a starry night sky.
“Oh it’s amazing.” I told her as we walked to the back of the store.
We came out of the dressing rooms at the same time. Both of the dresses fit perfectly. Neither were too flashy but they definitely drew attention. “Perfect” we said in unison.
We paid for the dresses and made our way to the car. As we were walking out I couldn’t help the feeling that we were being followed. I casually looked behind us, but didn’t see anything unusual. Just to be safe I mind linked Allie.
‘Hey I think we are being followed, but can’t be sure. Mind if I drive?” I had a feeling that out of the two of us I was probably going to be the better driver if it came down that someone was following us. She looked over to me and gave me a nod.
