Chapter 9

Elaine's POV

It's been almost 2weeks since Noah's apologie and we haven't spoken much after that.

He does his thing and I do mine.

I'm on my way back from my morning jog when I notice Noah standing at the shore line with his surfboard, he's wearing his surf swimsuit but it's only half way up his body.

Stoping at his waistline.

And I was right I think to myself.

His is god dam hot his body is well build.,even at this distance you can clearly see he has a six pack.

I take one last glance at Noah before heading up to the house.

I head upstairs and into my room, I grab my toiletries and my clothes I set out before I went out this morning.

I head into the shower closing the door behind me.

I open the shower to steam the bathroom a little before removing my t shirt, just as I pull my shirt off the door suddenly opens...

Its Noah.

He is still in his swimsuit but this time I can clearly see his v-line as well.

I stand there taking in every inch of his body before finally realizing im still top less.

I cover my breast with my shirt before screaming at Noah

"What the f**k, Noah? "

"get out!"

A dumb founded Noah doesn't say a word before leaving and closing the door behind him.

As soon as it closes I run to lock it.

God damit.

Am I so stupid to forget to lock the door.

I stand agains the door for a few seconds before walking over to the basin.

Looking at myself in the mirror.

I remember Noah's eyes as he saw me half naked.

I feel relived knowing I wasn't completely naked.

But still My face is completely red.

I brush the thought of Noah's face of before heading into the shower.

I stand under the water than reach for my favorite shampoo.

I only use this shampoo as I have loved the smell for as long as I can remember.

I start singing my fav lyrics by Billy Elies

"I though I found away, I though I found a way out..."

I stop singing and rince my hair before continuing

I rinse my body and turn of the tap.

I wrap my towl around my body than pull out the hair dryer...

As I almost in the middle of drying my hair someone knocks at the door.

"knock, knock"

"Elaine..."

It's Noah

"What?"

I turn the dryer off

"um, I'm just wondering when you'll be done, I gota take a leak"

Urg I scoff at his words.

I unplug the dryer and put it back in the cabinet

I grab my clothes and open the door.

Noah is standing in the door way.

I look at him and brush past him at high speed straight into my room locking the door behind me.

I soon look at the clothes on my bed.

I took out a light blue guess denim short with my black guess t shirt.

I am definitely wearing my biking top under, even if I dont enjoy the party I will definitely enjoy the water...

Will this be okay, I mean today is the yearly summer beach party and I have never been to it.

Every year dad and aunt Lin would ask me to join but I never went.

I would get all dressed up and at the last minute chicken out.

So after I get dressed,

I look at myself in the mirror

I decide to be safe and only wear my waterfroof maskara and water proof eyeliner with my cherry lipgloss.

Looking at the mirror it become a reality...

I'm really going this year, I tell myself before pushing the front of my tee into my jean.

I mean, I'm a loner but I know alot about the latest fasion.

I add the last item, my black and white slip on sandals.

I always look good when going out.

I grab my pink leather strap watch and my purity ring which I only take off when I shower.

I have had this ring since my 13th birthday.

Dad bought it for and on the inside dad had my name ingraived, with other word as well.

'Elaine, a pure soul'

I was glad my dad felt I had a pure soul, cuz after the b***h, f****d our lives up I always felt scared that I might become like her.

So this ring always gave me courage.

I place it on my left index finger where it has always been.

Its like a lucky charm

When ever guys come up to me and see my purity ring they leave even before speaking to me.

So I know all of them wanted more that what the eye meets.

As I'm about to pack my black back pack my phone goes off

'ding,' ding'

I grab my phone and see a message from Aunt Lin.

I unlock and read the message.

"Elaine, I hope this year you will join me and your dad at the beach party, please don't change your mind like the last 4time... This year might just be the start of a new beginning. Xoxo MOM"

P. S NOAH WILL BE YOUR DATE.!

when I read the last line I am completely caught of gaurd.

I scroll up and down again reading the message out loud this time.

What the hell is Aunt Lin thinking, Noah, my date?

Has she completely lost her mind.

I trow my phone on my bed and let out a big sigh

What am I going to do?

I look at my self in the mirror one last time than decide to tie my hair up in a messy bun rather than leaving them untied , I mean it's a beach party it will be windy and swimming will be hard with open hair.

Than I return to where I left my bag and place a towl and some sunscreen in as well, zip it up and head for the door.

I open the door and find Noah leaning agains the wall infront of my bedroom.

He is wearing a white Nike T-shirt with a light blue 3/4 jeans and black slip on's.

I look down at my out fit and again at him, who now has a sexy grin on his face.

What the hell?

We are wearing almost the exact same outfit.

Did they plan this?

"wow, you really look hot."

Noah says still looking at me.

"What ever, did you really plan all this with your mom?"

Noah trows his hands up in surrender,

"Mom texted me just a while back saying I have to be your date to beach party, and by the looks of it, you also only found out now, so why blame me?"

I glare daggers at Noah before closing my room door and heading down stairs.

Noah soon follows me and we head for the door.

He grabs his car key before I could take dad's so I grab the house keys.

At the door he brushed past me and I can smell his aftershave.

O god, he smells so good...

Once I return to my senses I see Noah already in his car ashering me on.

I locked the door and trow the key in my bag.

Once I reach the car I contemplate whether to sit in front or the back, I decide the back seat is the safest.

I open the door and hop in.

"I'm not a taxi driver you know"

I hear Noah say.

"well today u are!"

Before he could continue I already closed the door and fastened my safety belt.

He looks and me than starts the car.

Soon we are headed to the docks.

The whole drive I notice Noah looking at me in his rear view mirror a few time and every time he had the god dam sexy smirk on his lips.

I ignored him.

We reach the docks and find dad and aunt Lin already there standing next to dad's car.

We park close by and I am first to jump off, Noah soon following me.

When we reach them I hug dad and Aunt Lin,

We head down to the beach right next to the docks.

I start feeling nervous.

There are a lot of people here and some I actually recognized a few from school.

Aunt Lin seems to notice my nervousness, giving my hand and a slight squeeze.

I look at her and smile.

Noah is also close behind us.

Once we reached, Dad and Aunt Lin disappeared into the crowd.

Now I felt very Lucky Noah was standing right next to me.

I feel his arm over my shoulder and I want to pull away but I am more scared of this unfamiliar crowd than I am of him.

So I relax as I settel in to his shoulder.

He soon leads us to the drinks table and gets us some cokes.

There are a lot of alcohol as well but he doesn't take any and insisted on drinking coke with me.

Noah is off legal drinking age but he isn't drinking, maybe it's because of me?

Hell no must be because he is driving.

I look at him a few more time before looking around to see who els was there.

Noah soon finds one of his old class mates and tells me he will be right back than goes over to that guy.

I stand there with my coke in my hand all alone when suddenly I see my worst nightmare.

AIDAN WATSON

He was my school bully.

Yes, my school bully was now coming up to me and I start trembling when he get quite close.

"Dam, mute, you like hot today."

"Why didnt you dress like this sooner.,maybe I would have been nicer to you."

I look at Aiden and don't know what to say.

He reaches out to me and I automatically flinch

"Aw, come on Elaine, it was a complement."

Wait what the fuck

He didn't call me mute?

When he tries to reach for me again I step back again.

And sure enough he seems bother by it.

"Elaine, I wont bite, let's go have a few drinks,

I'll introduce you to some of the boys."

Before I can even think about how to respond Noah is right next to me, he takes my hand intertwining our fingers before looking at Aiden, who is in shock at the sight of us holding hand.

" f**k OFF AIDEN!"

I look at Noah in utter shock and disbelief at his words just now, and before I could even wrap my head around it he pulls me behind him.

I follow still holding his hand.

He soon slows down and stops.

Looking back at me with a small smile.

Looking down at our hands still entangled together.

He leave my hand gently before rubbing the back of his neck.

I look at him. His back now facing me.

"Thanks Noah, for.. You know.. Saving me back there."

Noah turns to face me.

"No problem, I saw you kind of flinch when Aiden tried to touch you, so I just assumed you might be feeling uneasy so... Ya I just did what anyone else would have done."

I hear his words and feel weird, was he actually looking at me from across the beach while he was with his friends... But I also feel kind of disappointed at the rest of his words.

But I just smile at him.

"so I guess you know Aiden?"

I asked him.

"yeah the guys a dick."

Okay, that I ask some more.

"how do you know him?"

Je smiled before answering.

"I knows his big brother, Owen, we where in boarding school together a few years back, so Aiden would come visit him with his parents on long weekends and so on, but I still can't wrap my head around the idea that he and Owen are brothers, the are like total polar oppisites. "

Noah explaines smiling as he speaks.

I look at him while he explained to me how they knew each other and I swear I couldn't take my eyes of his lips, when I realize he has stopped talking, I see him staring at me, with a small grim on his lips.

" what are you thinking about?"

I hear him ask.

Still looking at me

"Nothing, so how's Owen been?"

"Are you guy close?"

I ask him in return trying not to look to suspicious.

Owen was my first crush.

He always protected me when we were in school and in his second last year he just disappeared.

And things with Aiden became worse from that moment on.

" Well, I haven't seen him since graduating, so I'm not sure, but yeah,we were quite close back in school."

Noah replies.

We look at each other and smile in unison

"let's head over to the beach maybe mom and Uncle dan is there".

Noah suggested

I nod my head and follow close behind him

Soon we see dad and aunt Lin talking to some people they seem to know quite well.

When aunt Lin see me and Noah head their way she reaches for me and proceeds to introduce me to the couple standing in front of them.

She starts with the couple first.

"This is Michelle and Andrew"

Aunt Lin than turns to me

"This is Elaine , Dan's daughter, and this,"

Holding her hand out to Noah

"is my son Naoh."

"Nice to meet you uncle, aunty"

We both greet the couple who smiles and greets us back.

Soon a young girl, about my age appears next to the lady.

"O, Amy here you are."

Placing her hand on the girls shoulder.

"This is Amy, my daughter, she is same age as you Elaine..."

She looks at me introducing Amy to me

Amy smiles as she comes over and huggs me like I'm an old friend.

I hug her back and I can see the sincerity in her smile.

"You guys should become friends, me and Lin have known each other since our school days,I'm sure you guys will become besties."

Amy's mom says.

I smile and nod at her seeing Amy also nod in agreement.

Amy looked at Noah and just nods.

Maybe they know each other.

The adults soon disappear leaving me, Noah and Amy alone.

I see Noah looking around at some guys down at the beach than he looks at me as if asking permission to leave, I give him a genuine smile and he nods at me smiling at me as he heads down to the beach joining some guys down by the bond fire.

I look at Amy.

She reaches over to me hooking her arm into mine.

"So, Elaine how about we become besties?"

I look at the hand on my arm and notice she is also wearing a purity ring similar to mine.

Before I can say anything she also noticed mine.

"See.... This is destiny!"

putting our hand next to each other.

"We were meant to be friend..."

She looks up at me and smiles.

I smile back at her in agreement.

We stand chatting for quite a while before also heading down to the beach where Noah and some guy is sitting chatting like olds friends.

When Noah notice us heading their way her makes space on the blanket, ushering me to sit next to him while I notice Amy taking her seat on the other Guys lap.

Soon Noah introduced me to him.

His is Jason Fleming.

He and Noah are old friend from boarding school.

And he is also Amy's long time boyfriend.

I look at them, he's hand is on Amys leg and her arms are around his neck he kisses her a few times on the forehead, while still talking to Noah.

I still next to Noah and every time he moves I feel his legs brush agains mine.

It sends electricic spark trough my blody.

I dont make it obvious though.

Soon we are all chatting away like we have known each other all our lives and I look at Noah next to me now and than.

I think to myself.

Maybe Noah isn't so bad.

I mean he saved me earlier and even accompanied me to the party, and before he left earlier he even made sure I was okay with him leaving before he left.

Was I to biased agains him.

Soon the beach becomes emty and only a few other people are still around, I see aunt Lin and dad coming our way and Noah also takes note.

We get up to leave, but before that I dash over to Amy giving her a tight hug and exchanging number I say my goodbyes and turn aound to head toward our parents.

I see them already heading toward the parking lot.

But Noah is waiting for me.

He stand with his hands in his pockets, kicking at the sand.

I soon reach him and he smiles at me.

we reach the car and I don't sit at the back this time.

I jump in the front seat closing the door and putting on my safety belt.

I look over to Noah who is clearly in shock at my competly changed attitude, before he also gets in the car.

I mean hell, I have already decided to give him a second chance, so why not start straight away.

We reach home and I unbuckel my safety belt before reach to open the door.

Noah catches me of gaurd, grabbing my hand.

"Elaine, I know you must think I'm a complete asshole, but I ain't that bad, I mean... I know that I was wrong before for you know... Kissing you but... I hope we can somehow start over... And about that kiss.."

Before Noah could continue I squeezed his hand.

" Noah, what ever happened, has already happened and I am also sorry I said all those mean things to you.,but it's already forgotten, I know that kiss didn't mean anything so lets just call it even, seeing you saved me from Aiden today."

I say smiling at him then pulling my hand out of his heading in out of the car and heading inside.

I didn't notice Noah following behind me but I was so nervous back there I just needed to escape, so whether he came in or not didn't bother me.

I enter my room, my heart still racing.

I crash down on my bed, I'm completely exhausted.

I grab my phone to check the time and it 2:45 am.

Wow it's so late.

Before I put my phone back down I recived a message from Amy...

"Night, Night Bestie. Xoxo."

I smile at the message and reply the same.

Before putting my phone on the side table and drifting off to sleep.
