I came back to reality with a bang, I had been totally lost in my head as I watched the man who claimed I was his daughter walk away. It couldn’t be possible, could it? My mum had said my father had walked out on us when I was little more than a baby but that didn’t make his claims any less ridiculous.
“Yes, yes of course” I smiled at my husband. How could I put it into words? Of course, I had been terrified when the madman pointed a gun at him, I had been beyond terrified but then something cold had settled over me.
