The Human, Angel, and Wolf

Extraction

Marian, Jacob, Andy (top warrior), and seven other warriors pilled into three large SUVs. They left at the same time that Haze and I did. 

When Haze shifted, I secured my ski mask. I hadn't puled it all the way down, so it was more like a hat right now. I was in all black, so hopefully I'll blend into the darkness. 

Alex was fast, he slowed a few times when I had to fix my grip. It was so mazing! Even Angel enjoyed herself. Alex yipped every once in a while, I guess Angel told him how much she liked this. 

After a couple hours we made it to the town I grew up in. I had already put a light barrier around us, but Alex stopped so I could reinforce it. I made sure my barrier contained all of our combined power and presence. The demons will not be able to feel us. 

I mind linked Haze and Alex,

-We are all set, lets keep going. I won't allow my aura out until we are in position.-

-You got it, Babe.-

During our meeting earlier, we established where the house was and where everyone would be. The warriors are divided between the first and last vehicles and Marian, Jacob, and the others would all be in the middle vehicle. 

When Haze and I leave, we will follow the caravan so I can keep us all hidden through the journey. I felt bad for Haze, it was going to be a long night for him. 

In another half an hour, we were in a wooded area behind the Morgan home. We stay hidden for another half an hour before Haze tells me that it's time. 

I close my eyes and allow my power to pierce my barrier, still keeping it around Alex. Angel helps me to let it all out, no hesitating. We focus on the dark beings hiding in the shadows and I focus on all of them. There were ten of them in various areas. I forced them to submit to me. When they were on their knees and bowed their heads I nodded, Alex and Haze would be looking at me waiting for my acknowledgment that I was ready. 

I felt the convey and everyone in it, I had never made others submit on this scale and became afraid to attempt to put a barrier around our people and vehicles. 

Angel: Babe, breathe. I'm here with you, remember. You are not alone. I can use our power to hold the barrier around our people, you keep your focus on the demons. 

I nod to her, but didn't speak. I felt her gently come forward and allowed her to access our power. I kept my focus on the demons, I could feel their anger and resentment. I searched the area again and didn't feel any other presences that were a threat. I felt Mavric and other angels, but did not force my power on them. 

I did feel their anxiety though, between the situation and my power they were feeling the pressure. I turned my attention back to the demons, there was one in particular that was giving off more anger than the others. 

While keeping my power flowing through all the demons, I created a link to the one that caught my attention. I felt his surprise, but it quickly turned into fuel for his anger. 

"What exactly are you so angry about, demon."

"You are the one my lord seeks."

"I am the one that he does not ever want to find."

"We will find you, and destroy you."

"So be it."

I cut the connection with him. 

Me: Angel, how are they doing?

Angel: It looks like they are wrapping up, but haven't exited the house yet. 

Me: Alright.

I had not been paying attention to my surroundings through sight and had not realized that Angel had opened my eyes and pulled up the ski mask so our family could see my face. 

I returned my attention and felt some push back. I sent another surge of power into them. I haven't reached exhaustion yet, but I was beginning to feel a bit tired. They had better hurry up.  

-Daniel's Point Of View-

Katie and I were in the middle of playing Go Fish when there was a knock at the door. We had finished our homework and everyone had congregated in the living room and kitchen.

Mr. Morgan opened the door and an older lady with a man in his early twenties asked to come in and speak with all of us. Hesitantly, Mr. Morgan moved aside for the man and woman to come in. 

"Everyone, please meet come into the living room." Mr. Morgan asked.

We did as asked and walked into the living room. 

As soon as everyone, but the man and woman sat, the woman spoke, "My name is Marian and this is James. You are all in danger and we are here to move you to a safe location." 

"How are we in danger? Are you law enforcement?" I asked what I'm sure everyone wanted to know. Katie and I were sitting on one of the couches with her parents while my parents sat across from us on the loveseat. 

"We are not traditional law enforcement, no." James answered. He looked at Marian as if to say this was her show, she should take over.

Marian smiled at all of us, "I am a friend to Helen. Please, go to your back window and look towards the tree line." 

We were all hesitant, but I got up and Kate followed me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I started to move to the back door, I wanted to see if what I was seeing was real. 

I was stopped, though, by James. How could he have gotten to me so fast? "You cannot great her right now, she is protecting you. If you break her concentration, we may all die tonight." 

I scoffed and tried to push him aside. I didn't realize that he was barley using his strength, he push me up against the wall as my dad and Mr. Morgan came over to break us apart. 

"Is it really her?" I whispered, looking to Marian. 

"Yes, Helen is alive and well. I came to her the day of the house explosion, we spoke, and I had to make the world believe she was dead. There is a very dangerous being looking for her, and now is making plans to use all of you to bring her out of hiding. We do not have mush time, we will be able to explain more when you are safe. Helen will be meeting us there."

We all had tears on our faces, except the visitors. I wanted to say I didn't believe them and make them leave, but I would be lying. I did believe them. 

My dad stood up and nodded at everyone, so we all slowly and hesitantly walked to the front door. 

-Helens POV-

Angel: They're coming out and heading to the vehicles. 

Me: Good, but we may have a small problem. I'm sensing demons making their way here. They aren't close yet, but they're coming. 

Angel: Okay, how do you want to handle this?

Me: Keep quiet for now, I feel the angels as well and they will be able to handle the incoming demons. We might just miss them, barely though. Can you tell Marian to hurry them up?

Angel: On it.

I heard the door open and saw as everyone made it to the SUVs. Marian was telling them to hurry and James was instructing them to get into the middle vehicle. As soon as the doors shut, I created a bubble like barrier around all three vehicles. Hiding them from all, but me. Angel pulled our ski mask back down and I got on Alex and Haze's back. We continued to stay in the tree line as we left. 

I connected with Mavric, "Watch your back, there are incoming demons. The vehicles are enroute to pack territory."

I cut the link immediately, I only have so much energy. I again, aloud the barrier that I hade around Haze and Alex to also include me fully. Then I released the my power on the demons. I could feel them begin their search. Alex was fast and quiet running though the trees. 

I continued to keep my barriers up. This was a real test to see where my limits are and where I would need improvement. For my first mission, I'd say this went well. Although my stamina should be better. 

Angel: You have done very well, we can analyze later. Just focus.

She's right. I felt the barriers weaken a little from my focus shifting so I send another surge of power to secure them. After another half hour, the tree line ends so we make our way to the vehicles. Thankfully it was dark and there weren't to many street lamps. Hopefully no one notices us. I laugh a little at that, but keep my focus. 

Thankfully, there were no more problems. As soon as we are on pack territory, I drop the barriers. It's another half an hour though before we make it to the pack house. 

I was a little nervous, seeing my family after all this time. How were they going to react? 

Haze: "Baby, I'm here with you. I won't leave your side."

Me: "Thank you."

I hug him tighter as he slows and comes to a stop by the rear vehicle.
