CHAPTER 7

THE WRECKED SHIP.

Crystal had dived into the sea with Mimi her sister as they sighted the fishermen fetching fishing from the sea, Mimi frowns at this as she turns to crystal.

"Those humans are terrible creatures, it pains me to even see them live and walk free.... Can't you see the amount of fish they are extorting from us, how cruel!"she snapped.

"That's what they do for a living besides what other harm do rather than catch fishes to sell"crystal altered.

"You know you don't even speak like a sea creature at all, you're so cool and dumb..... that's why you've not provided your first kill even till now "Mimi said.

"And I won't provide nothing the last thing I would do is to kill a human in cold blood "she counted

"Oh I see where this is coming from now, you're in love right?"Mimi asked

"What are you talking about?"crystal altered.

"Don't pretend like you don't know, I mean isn't it so obvious you're in love with that land boy"Mimi snapped as she pointed at abeo's stand.

"I.....I....."

Crystal was interrupted by a shout from the fishermen they had seen them.

"My goodness..... they've seen us"crystal said in anxiety as she dives into the water revealing her tail.

"Then what?....do they think I'm scared of them"Mimi said as she stayed like she was going to confront them

The fishermen threw a hook in the water as it got hold of Mimi's tail, they began to drag her close to their ship as she bleed.

"Ahhhh"Mimi screamed in pain.

Crystal returned to Mimi as she tried to release her From the hook but all to no avail they were still dragging them close.

Aunt Caroline goes to her room as she sat on the bed, she sees a picture of her and her husband as she picks it and bursts out in tears after glancing at it. It had been two years since her husband died.

She recalled immediately what had happened;

Caroline was in a mermaid form swimming with speed, she was going to meet with benald her husband who was on a boat to travel.

She was going to warn him that he was in danger as the sea creatures were after him, before Caroline could get to his boat the sea creatures (mermaids) were already surrounded around the boat they all stretched their hands towards the boat as it exploded instantly.

"Nooooooooooooooo"Caroline screamed while watching the flames from the consumed boat.

Recall ends as Caroline cried the more wrapping herself together.

I could have sworn that I knew one of the Mami water creatures we had encountered, or was it just my imagination.

We continued to drag the hook as we wanted to achieve our aim by capturing them and we were almost getting close when we started hearing a loud rhyme.

The rhythm and sound echoed as I covered my ears, instantly the fishermen let go of the hook as they all stood still like they were being hypnotized my dad didn't escape this.

I saw one of the mermaids raise her hands and point it towards our ship as it began to shake tremendously, the clouds became darker as the sea moved in anger.

I was extremely frightened as it looked like we were all going to perish and really I was right because our boat had begun to sink into the ocean.

I screamed as I tapped the men who had all fallen as the boat shook, they were all like vegetables as they couldn't or rather didn't move.

I made my way inside to ring the emergency alarm as I did, the ocean water penetrated into the boat as we all began to go down.

I cried bitterly as my heart was about pumping out of my mouth, seeing that I was going to die because I couldn't swim was the only thing that terrified me.

The boat shattered as the water swallowed it completely and I went blank.
