Darkness Comes To Light

It's the next day and I go knock on Gwen's door. Liam answers. It looks like he just woke up. Good he looks great anytime I run into him. I smiled at him. I swear if she shows the fangs. He smiles back. There they are. f**k! I just want to feel one of them on my neck.
Me: You busy today?
Liam: Just gotta finish up the image for my dad. Why, what's up?
Me: Do you maybe want to hang out?
Liam: Sure. Just give me ten minutes. You can wait inside.
I come in and sit on the couch. He goes into a room and comes out exactly ten minutes later. He had got some black cargo shorts and a black t-shirt.
Me: You don't ever dress like a freelance photographer.
Liam: Oh yeah. Then how do we dress?
Me: I don't know. A dress shirt and jeans I would assume.
Liam: Only when I have to be professional.
We leave and head outside. He starts walking ahead of me. I stop walking. I looked around for his car. But it's nowhere in sight.
Me: We're walking?
Liam: Yeah. Gwen has the car.
Me: Ok. I was just wondering.
Liam: My baby will be here soon.
Me: Your baby?
Liam: Yeah. My baby. You'll love her.
I'm confused. Does he mean a car or his actual baby? Is he a dad? I didn't think anymore about it, and we headed back to the coffee shop we went to before. Once again, we get our coffee and go for a walk in the nearby park. We sit on a bench and just chat about any and everything. From childhood to present events. From likes and dislikes to hopes and dreams. His phone starts to ring. He steps away and answers. He starts to walk back.
Liam: I'm sorry but I gotta go. My dad needs me.
Me: Oh yeah. No problem. I'll see you later.
I gave him a hug bye. I start to walk when he grabs my arm. He seems hesitant but quickly changes his mind. I didn't want it to end either.
Liam: Actually, would you like to join me?
Me: Really?!
Liam: Yeah. It's just an errand. Nothing top secret.
I vigorously nod my head yes. He hails a cab, and we head over to Eleco. When we arrive, we head straight to the elevator. We went up to the tenth floor. There's only one door on the whole floor. Which I can only assume is his dad's office. Liam knocks.
Person: Come in.
Liam: Hey dad. I brought my friend--
Mr.Elec: Melanie!
Me: How do--
Mr. Elec: How could I forget a face such as yours? How's married life?
Me: Not great. We haven't even started planning it. But I don't see it happening.
He seems upset by that, but Liam does what he came for. He gets the paperwork he needs and then asks me to step outside. After about five minutes, Liam comes out his dad waves him off.
Me: Mr. Elec, is it OK if I stop by and see Kai?
Mr. Elec: I have no problem with that, but he called out sick today. That's why I've asked Liam to take the finished project over so he can see it.
Me: Is Sara here?
Mr. Elec: She called out sick as well.
Me: Must be a bug going around. I'll go with Liam to see him.
We grabbed another cab and headed over to the guys' place. When we got there, I knocked on the door. I'm not crazy about coming to see Kai right now. I knock again. Leon answers and looks shocked.
Leon: Melanie! What are you doing here?!
Me: I came to see Kai.
I step inside holding Liam's hand. Leon looks at Liam. I think the only reason I'm OK being here right now is because I'm with Liam.
Me: Leon this is Liam. Mr. Elec's son.
Leon: Nice to meet you.
Liam: Same here.
Leon: I don't know what's up with Kai. He hasn't been out of his room all day. He has been on the phone alot though. Thought it was you he was talking to.
Me: Nope. We haven't spoken since yesterday at the baby shower. I'll go check on him.
I grabbed the papers from Liam. I was at Kai's door when I heard a female giggling. I hear the name Sara. I quietly open the door for my suspicions to be reality. I slammed the door closed. I went back to the living room and handed the papers back to Liam.
Liam/Leon: What's wrong?
I'm so furious. HE REALLY IS CHEATING ON ME! I THOUGHT HE LOVED ME! HE SAID I WAS THE ONLY GIRL HE WANTED TO BE WITH! THAT I WAS HIS EVERYTHING! HE PROPOSED! HOW?! HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO ME?! I feel so stupid. I'm about to take off my ring and leave it on the counter when Kai comes out of the room.
Kai: Leon, I thought I told you--
He is just now noticing me, Liam, and Leon. Tears are forming. I look away. I was about to leave when a girl came out with a sheet wrapped around her. She looks shocked.
Girl: Liam?!
Liam: Sara?!
The mention of her name stops me in my tracks. THIS IS f*****g SARA?! THE b***h THAT HAS RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP? Well, I mean he ruined it too. I start to charge at her when her words destroy what's left me.
Sara: Are you just gonna let her attack the mother of your child?
I feel my heart shatter into a million pieces. Everyone looks at Kai. Monica even came out of the room looking shocked. I can't take any more of this. I asked her one simple question.
Me: Sara, how far along are you?
Sara: A month.
She starts rubbing her belly. I started laughing and crying at the same time. I can't believe him. Not only has he lied, he cheated, she's pregnant, and she was as far along in it as me.
Me: Kai? Is it true?
He just stares at me. I stared back at him. I have to know. It's like time has frozen for him. He hasn't moved or spoken. We are all waiting for an answer and, since he can't speak, I ask him again.
Me: KAI? IS IT TRUE?!
Kai: Melanie, I-
Me: KAI?! IS IT f*****g TRUE?! IS SHE 1 MONTH PREGNANT?!
Kai: Yes.
I can see it hurt him to say that. Before I can say anything back, my stomach starts to hurt. There's a pain and it starts to intensify. It makes me drop to my knees. Liam and Leon rushed over to me.
Liam: Hey, are you OK?
Me: I'm....in.....pain!
Leon: s**t! She might be having a miscarriage.
Kai tries to come near me. I see Leon charge at him. Liam calls 911. He then picks me up. Once again, Kai tries to come near me. Leon pushes him harder again into the wall.
Monica: Kai! Leave now!
Leon: I think you've done enough.
Kai: She's my fiancé.
Monica: If you wanted to marry her, why would you do this to her?!
Kai: SHUT UP MONICA!
Leon: Don't talk to my wife like that!
Liam: I hope you're happy Sara. Ruin someone else's life. First me, then Mark, and now Melanie.
Me: I don't feel good. I feel dizzy.
I took the ring off and threw it at Sara. She shields herself from it and it hits the floor. I start hearing Liam panick. I hear something about blood before I start losing consciousness.
