When he said those words it felt like I had been drenched in freezing water. The urge to pick the phone and send help vanished ridiculously fast.
"So," he cleared his throat. "Now that you understand the things involved, are you still going to call them?"
I didn't know what to say to that because he was clearly still bleeding and there were no medical supplies to help stop the blood. Not to talk of infection, and sepsis.
