It's all a play?

CHAPTER SIX

"What do you want Joseph?" I asked him with a death stare. I never expected him to be here and I was getting pissed off, after want happened earlier on with my dad.

"Oh darling…" He said moving closer to me. I walked backward, away from him as he took steps closer to me."I don't bite" He said smirking.

"Go. To. Hell" I said. I was so pissed off. I wanted to punch him right there but pitied his face which was showing some scares of the wounds he got two weeks ago.

"How many times will I tell you not to…" He was interrupted by my sister who hit him. I took that opportunity to run away. Well, that made him and his friends to also chase after us. 

I ran to my mom's car, with my sister and drove off, leaving the goods my mom told me to buy.

I explained what happened in the grocery store, to my parents and they where clearly furious.

"Who is the guy and how dare he?" My dad said standing up from the couch. "I am going to call your principal, right away and report that guy, for him to be suspended. I can't believe this rubbish." He said pacing round the loving room.

"Calm down,Daniel,the important thing is that she is alright." My mom said trying to calm my dad.

GREYFIELD POV

I went downstairs to meet my mom. She was writing an article. 

"You called me, mom" 

"Remember the cookies we baked yesterday?"

"Yes?"

"I was thinking, if I should bake another set of cookies, and give it to Leela and her family, since it is her favorite type of cookie" Hearing that made me terrified. I don't know what will happen if Leela's parent see me.I don't know why my mother will think of this crazy idea?

"What, mom? You do know, that am not on good terms with her parents. They would push me out."

"It has been long since you've talked to her"

"It has been two weeks"

"I know,but you have to" I tried to discourage her to not accomplish what she want to do, but she would not listen.

"Okay, I need you to take this and give it to them." My said after she packaged the cookies decoratively. 

"Mom?" I said trying to persuade her one more time. "Please let's not do this."

"Oh I almost forget" She acted like she did not hear me. "I made some smoothie. I hope they love it." I stood there giving her a puppy look, for her to change her mind. "Will you go now? Or should I call your dad that you are disobeying me?" I can't believe, she is using my dad to threaten me.

My father, well, is a tall, well built man, maybe because of the military. He worked in the English army. He can be strict, whenever I do something wrong, my mother always threaten me to tell my dad, anytime he comes back from deployment, usually making my father angry. 

"Well, I shall tell him the genesis of the disobedience. I am sure that he won't do anything." I told her, smirking to myself, thinking 'oh that is great, she won't send you to Leela's house again'. 

"Oh no, you won't. Now go before the cookies get cold, she likes it warm." Look like i was wrong, she did send me, my mom always have her way.

I walked down the street to Leela's house slowly. Sure that my mom was watching me.

Waiting on her front pouch, after knocking, I was scared. It has been a long time since I have came this close to her house. I could hear some footsteps coming closer to the door. My heart wanted to jump out of my chest but I remained cool. 

"GRAYFIELD? what are you doing here?" Leela's mother spoke, surely confused.

"My mom wanted to give you and your daughter this." I said raising the cookies and smoothie up for her to see.

"Your mother will never change. You should go now, before her dad sees you." She warned me. 'Of course I should, I cannot imagine what will happen to me'. I thought to myself

"Well, at least accept the cookies and smoothies, my mom would appreciate it." She was about to speak but was interrupted by Leela's dad calling her.

"Who is there, honey?" I could hear his footsteps coming closer to us.

"GREYFIELD?" He shouted. I am sure that all our neighbours trebled. With the way he looked at me I knew that it was not going to end well.
