In the dimly lit room, Ariana's eyes widened as my daughter dropped the bombshell. "When am I getting a new mom?" The words hung in the air, causing Ariana to choke on her drink. I, on the other hand, remained surprisingly composed, almost as if I had been expecting this moment.

Ariana recovered, her voice booming, "That's no way to tal-" I cut her off with a dismissive wave, focusing my attention on Nadia, my determined daughter.

"Why?" I asked, my authoritative aura and a sly smile on full display.

Nadia met my gaze with unwavering determination. "I need a motherly figure."

"And?" I prodded.

"Girls just want their mom sometimes."

"And?" I pressed on.

"Need someone to talk boys stuff with," she confessed.

"You can always discuss it with me," I blurted out without realizing the repercussions, earning me an awkward cough from Ariana and a deadly stare from Nadia.

"Well, we can always compromise on that," I attempted to salvage the situation. Why did it always go south when it came to boys' stuff?

Nadia, however, wasn't backing down. She slammed her hand on the table, almost knocking dishes over, and declared, "Just admit it! What makes you think you can handle me in my rebellious teenage years?"

Before I could respond, Ariana muttered under her breath, "As if you aren't rebellious enough now?"

I smirked; Ariana was the perfect match for Isabella. The perfect plan formed in my mind.

"So let's say I agree, who do you want for a mother?" I tossed the ball into her court. "Tina? or...?"

Nadia eyed me skeptically. In a moment of telepathic understanding, she pointed at an unsuspecting woman engrossed in grilled chicken. "I want her."

"Fine by me," I agreed, knowing Nadia valued promises. "I have to keep my part of the deal then."

I excused myself, leaving behind a horrified Ariana, and added more fuel to the fire. "Let's get married."

The room fell into a stunned silence, leaving everyone wondering about the impending twists and turns.

Taylor Spencer tried to visualize what the night would look like as she peered out the window. The elderly man refused to simply give him a pass; after all, being single at 26 wasn't exactly a crime. Taylor was aware that the majority of men, even those in their thirtys, were single and unconcerned about it; after all, not everyone was cut out for marriage. He decides to go with the single guys while some decide to get married and remain single. Not at all! No marriage; he wasn't prepared to test such waters again, not after the horrors he'd experienced at the hands of Kay. However, as a man with strong desires and hormones, he only gave short-term relationships lasting no longer than a month serious consideration. It's surprising that only Tina is able to break such a brief agreement—or perhaps he simply allowed her to. Perhaps because she pushes him with her level of knowledge and her determination to succeed, he knew she was different from other girls who have shared his bed. Tina was the daughter of a rapidly expanding beverage company. He was drawn to her because of something about her that made her stand by her morals and whatever else she believes to be right. She doesn't take no for an answer. He was aware that she was completely different from Kay, who depended heavily on him, was unable to support herself, and would have nearly drained him of all his money if he had not exposed her lies. Taylor swallowed rapidly as if there was a large lump in his throat and felt the tie around his neck tighten, but he knew deep down that it was just the memory's effect. The awful error he committed troubled him even now. 2. He loosened the tie roughly and muttered some obscenities, frustrated and stressed out. The least he could have done after a demanding workday was to introduce Tina to his father, and she just made him angrier. Refusing to come, Tina claimed she needed to close some deals with some difficult-to-find foreign investors. His father would have to accept that he had to attend the dinner without a female companion. Ultimately, he was and has never been interested in the entirety of a thing. "Could you go faster?!" The chauffeur responded, "I'm already a bit over the speed limit," as Taylor gritted his teeth in frustration. "Well, make it go a little bit more faster," he retorted, needing nothing more than to get to the Old Man's place and finish everything. "I'm try-" Taylor yelled, transferring his aggression on the gullible chauffeur. A loud thud was heard, and Blake, the driver, gasped loudly and barely jerked the car to a stop. Blake was startled when he saw what was outside the car and screamed. With closed eyes, Taylor prayed quietly in a whisper. But Taylor didn't need a psychic to tell him he just hit someone******. Instead, he said, "God, let it not be what I'm thinking." Ariana popped her lips to give her lipstick a more defined appearance as a last touch. Grinning, she fixed her gaze on her own image in the mirror. Despite her dislike of makeup, she looked great and preferred her natural appearance. She looked down at the black leather shoe she had chosen to wear, which had a zipper at the back. She usually avoided wearing heels because they made her feel unsteady, but since Gabriel loved them, she felt compelled to wear them because it was his special day and she wanted to break some bad habits. She smiled at the thought of Gabriel complimenting her dress as she headed out to make Gabriel's birthday extra special while clutching her purse. Due to financial constraints, she didn't wear much, but she made the time and effort to purchase this Lacy tiny black dress, which fit her curves so perfectly that she felt like she wasn't as shapeless as her sister had claimed. She grew up with her sister, who was the more beautiful of the two. Kim had amazing curves, long, dark hair, and was tall and attractive. She was also the ideal child. Ariana wondered if her parents didn't see her because they loved her so much. Her sister Kim, who is now a prosperous lawyer, lives the ideal life in New York with her physician husband. "While I'm still having trouble with my acting career," Ariana scoffed at her miserable existence. Before she met Gabriel, she was on the verge of giving up on herself. He encouraged her to persevere and gave her a sense of love and uniqueness. She was going to repay the favor tonight by making him feel special and cherished because of this. She attempted to cross the open road, already feeling extremely happy, but suddenly a car nearly hit her, sending her plummeting to the ground due to the force of the impact. Ariana gasped and realized she had just avoided an accident, even though she was experiencing some pain in her arm and ankle from what was likely bruises from the impact on the hard concrete floor. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked herself. A man got out of the driver's seat and walked in her direction. She asked, groaning from the strain of getting herself off the ground, "Do I look okay?" Her heels caused her to sway sideways as the man assisted her in standing up. Bending her arms, she gazed at the red mark that had begun to form there. What a nice body to make an impression on Gabriel. "Were you blind or what!?" Angry that Gabriel would be more concerned about her minor injury than the effort she had put into getting ready for the evening, Ariana yelled at him. The man could only bow his head and say, "I'm sorry." "That's enough!" a voice boomed from behind her, causing her to spin around and look up at a god. He exuded a don't-mess-with-me air, and his fitted suit was obviously expensive. Ariana immediately recognized the Man's danger
