Destiny Voyage- Deadline Encroaching- Finally In!
Robin cursed himself inwardly as he rushed past the male figure who seemed stunned to see him again. Robin barely gave the warrior any second to greet him as the person didn’t seem capable of replying to his question. The white haired male pushed his way to the crowd of people in front of him, niceties and pleasantries aside as he squeezed himself between the people. He pushed people to the sides if he didn’t have his way. It infuriated him that she was this close and he had been too busy to notice at all.
He would never forgive himself if she got herself in danger or lost- he couldn’t bare it at all. How many years had it been? How many years of sleepless nights and lonely hours had it been since they last saw each other? It was her smile and her laugh that brightened Robin’s day and kept him going through each dreaded day, and now here they were. She was trying to run away from him for doing some brainless thing. The young noble sighed inwardly, he completely deserved it but he didn’t want her to leave him all alone again.
Never again
“Sora!” Robin screamed as he aimlessly pushed in the crowd and clearly had no idea where exactly to go. It seemed that he was simply pushed back and forth by the movement of people’s. The young male gritted his teeth in annoyance and tried to search for her in the wave of people all around it. This was useless. It seems she had managed to evade from him once again. He knew he promised to himself that he would never approach her and just watch her from afar- but right now he doesn’t even know where she is!
Robin wanted to scream out and maybe call out for her to get him . . . but that wasn’t possible anymore. They weren’t kids anymore where she would come rushing after him if he skinned a knee and cried for her. Even before she just rolled her eyes at him if he even cried at such a thing like that. He managed to bitter sweetly smile as he was swept to and fro by the crowd while caught in that memory.
Robin sighed softly and cleared his thoughts. Inhaling a gush of air, He looked all around him with a gush of determination to find his Sora-chan. He swiftly moved along the wave of people, staying in tune with the rhythm and beat of the crowd as they swayed around all over the street. Just a little bit more and he was out of the suffocating amount of people.

“Rai-kun.” Cosette breathed out softly as she reached him but he was too busy staring at the sea of people in front of him. Probably where Sora had lost her own into, she frowned a bit at the ignorance of him from her presence but she completely understood his concern. She had just arrived here and might get herself lost or in danger at a rate like that. “Where is she?!” a familiar male voice shrieked as the male approached them.
Raiden stared at him seemingly stunned, to Cosette’s own relief. He was too shocked to even pull his sword or anything dangerous. The lady was also a bit surprised to hear the smooth and suave young man to screech at them in such an immature manner before he rushed into the crowd of people, willingly squeezing himself into that hot and sweaty crowd to the blonde’s own disdain. He was crazy.
“She’s such an idiot.” Raiden muttered to himself before he started walking towards the sea of people. Cosette immediately grabbed his arm. “You’re not going to squeeze yourself in there just to find them right?” she asked in surprise and he looked at her apologetically. “I have to- she’s our team mate. She’s our friend.” He merely told the lady in a faint smile before he headed into the sea of people like the previous two people.
Cosette felt disheartened at what he said. “She’s not even officially in our team yet. . .” she quietly whispered as she watched him walk away. The blonde lady frowned to herself and crossed her arms. She was indignant to cross that much just to help a new comer become a member of their team. It was Sora’s mission and she was supposed to come after Robin when she saw that Cosette had been talking to him and keeping him busy. What was her reason to run away? It didn’t seem like her to just throw away what she was so determined to achieve a few days back.
Cosette sighed softly to herself as she tried to still look at Raiden from afar. It was getting that much hard with so much people. Drats. She couldn’t let him be taken advantaged of other women in the crowd- the lady hastened herself into the bunch of men and women. Holding her breath and praying for all of their sakes. She wished that Robin and Sora would just meet already.

Those tears in her eyes were glistening so much as he had looked at her eyes for a few minutes ago. Raiden sighed inwardly, slowly berating himself as he made his way from the crowd of people. He should have comforted her, hugged her- or even just asked her how she was. He was too focused on the mission, too focused on finding Cosette and ensuring her safety to even actually find out the real reason behind her hesitation to just approach Robin.
From the way it seemed, it was as if they had known each other prior to this. That level of attachment and pain could not be from just a simple meeting or even plain infatuation. They had already known each other long before this mission it seemed. It was a strong bond that Raiden could feel between the two of them, similar to kindred of the warrior clans between one another as they grew up together as family.
Raiden couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards Sora’s and Robin’s relationship that suddenly stopped him dead in his tracks. The young male blinked once and then twice. Was he jealous? He scoffed for a bit. Why would his heart ache at the fact that they had seemed to be very close to one another? Why was he so much bothered by the way her eyes glistened with tears and held so much pain that he had wish to ease . . . similar to the time when she had been crying in her sleep and he held her so close?
The young warrior’s thoughts travelled back to that moment in time. The way she had huddled so close to him in her sleep, the way her hand gripped his shirt tightly and didn’t want to let it go. How her breaths went out in slow and breathlessly manner and how she felt so completely right in his arms as he held her closer. The feeling of her soft hair in his hands and fingers as he gently patted her head whilst trying to soothe her from her tears and to get her to let go of him and allow himself to sleep.
How his thoughts were tempted and swayed by the desires to steal a kiss from the sleeping maiden and press his lips gently just to feel it.
Raiden’s cheeks heated up slightly at the remembrance. H- He didn’t know what to say about his own thoughts. They had been so depraved, she was indeed somewhat pretty and charming in her own way but for him to think of such thoughts was so repressive to him and quite misogynistic. The young warrior began to blame his life that had been only filled with trainings and fights, his brothers and he had paid no heed to women or girls and simply saw them as equals in fighting and battles.
He had to find her soon and bonked her head for letting him think about her this much that it was turning to different thoughts. It was actually scaring him now.

“Uh hey mom . . .?” Haichi spoke up as he looked around their surroundings where his teammates seemed nowhere in sight. “Yes honey?” she asked his child sweetly and patted the boy’s head like he was a little kid, although the young man still secretly liked it.
“Where’s Sora and Raiden?” He questioned her and she quirked a brow at the young man in confusion. “You know, my team mates.” Haichi sighed softly knowing she didn’t really have much of a good memory- especially people who were part of his team specifically.
“Oh they left some while ago son.” She simply smiled at him like it was nothing and that he had noticed it too and wasn’t too busy crying his heart and sniffing with the woman.
“For how long have they been gone?” Haichi queried her in worry and she shrugged nonchalantly. “Maybe 30 minutes or so?” she replied coolly while sitting down in their table and finishing her breakfast meal.
“Nooooooo!!!!” Haichi screamed in agony while his mother simply sweat-dropped and tried to hush the young male as onlookers passed by.

Sora simply made her way through the crowd and she just wanted to get away as far as she could. She couldn’t take any of it anymore. The feelings of confusion and all of the other emotions were simmering down in her heart and mind as she questioned why Cosette and Robin were together at some place and were acting like a couple. How her heart felt a pang that she could not comprehend when Raiden was too focused on finding Cosette and everything in between since she got here. Was she mad at Robin? Perhaps she was jealous? Or maybe she got furious? Or lastly maybe she was happy? The young brunette lady was clearly not attuned to her own feelings.
She finally reached the edge of the crowd and she hurriedly pushed her way out of the crowd and into the open streets. She panted softly and inhaled the fresh air. Something that helped the young woman to ease her thoughts was the cool air even if it was for just a moment in time. Sora looked up in the sky and saw a hawk headed speedily past their place. It was odd- only when special people are travelling do they fly in a way of notifying the people who were aware.
The gallops of horses and its hooves speeding and stepping along the cobble pathway as the young woman’s body froze. Her head turned a minute too late as a carriage pulled by four horses was nearly going to topple over her. Sora squeezed her eyes shut, unprepared for such a sudden thing. Alas only a skidding was heard as the carriage did its best to evade me, a figure quickly leapt off the carriage not caring whatever happened to it and made its way towards the young woman.
As the figure inched closer, the person seemed familiar with the peculiar and elaborate cape flowing in the mid-air as a worried snow-haired young man quickly grabbed her shoulders. “Miss Sora!” he urgently called the young woman’s name, snapping her out of the stupor as she glanced into his warm ruby coloured eyes that also somehow eased her heart even for just a brief moment. It reminded Sora of Robin’s eyes but still quite different in its intensity and power. Robin’s was powerful and passionate while his were soothing like the warmth of a comfortable flame that warmed your soul.
Sora sniffed as tears once again rimmed her eyes; she breathed slowly and gulped cold air trying to calm her own persona. The young man’s eyebrows furrowed in worry as he started to pat her hair and hum soothingly. “It’s alright dear, don’t be afraid to cry.” He urged the young woman a bit, “It’s only natural to shed tears.” He soothed her with a gentle smile. The young lady held back a choking sob as tears started to stream down her cheeks. He used his thumb to gently wipe the tears away.
“Thank goodness you do not apply any kind of mascara.” He told the young woman light-heartedly and rubbed her cheek with his finger. “It would have made you look hideous.” Roswell chuckled slightly before snapping one of his fingers. “I had a handkerchief somewhere.” He realized and used one of his hands to search in his trouser pockets before finding it in his breast pocket and laughed sheepishly. He dabbed the handkerchief but Sora gently grabbed his hand.
He peered into her green jade eyes curiously, they were swollen a bit but she looked at him in determination so he allowed her to hold the handkerchief by herself and wiped her own tears. He simply began to comb the young woman’s brown hair with his fingers into place. (They had been a bit messed up with all the running and pushing) “Are you feeling better darling?” he gently asked and lightly held her chin between his fingers. Sora had to look directly into his red eyes and she was too shy to even avert them.
“Mhmm I’m fine now, thank you for asking.” she managed to reply as a smile made its way to his lips. “That’s comforting to know.” He murmured gently before leaning down and brushing his lips against her forehead in a comforting kiss. The brunette’s cheeks reddened along with her neck but she stayed in place, allowing herself to have his soft lips to meet her skin. It was embarrassing though to her, she was most likely sweaty and she cringed inwardly.
The two were in a comfortable position until a figure suddenly arrived and roughly threw Roswell off from Sora. “W-what are you doing?!” his voice boomed at her, Roswell or most likely both of the two. Sora looked to her side and saw a completely aghast Robin who stared at her for a moment in horror before glaring at his brother who he had thrown off a few feet away with remarkable strength.
“Now, now, dear brother please calm down.” Roswell squarely told Robin as he patted his shoulders from some dust. “It’s been a long time has it not been?” he managed to smile grimly at the other male. Robin merely scowled at him. “Enough with the pleasantries- I did not see you as someone who would take advantage of a girl.” He crossly told him. “Oh please,” the other man chuckled a bit. “I am certainly not you.” He merely replied even ticking the man more.
“What did you say?!” he snarled at Roswell and the man simply shrugged. “You heard me. I am not like you, player and troublemaker.” He called Robin with a demure smile that irked the other male more as he started to approach him with clenched fist. Sora’s eyes widened for a moment before she blocked Robin’s path and held her arms out to stop him. “Robin!” she shouted to call his attention while she nervously looked him in the eye.
“Stay out of this Sora.” He simply murmured, moving past the figure and into the direction of his brother. She winced but she had to stop this fight for everyone’s sake. Especially for his sake and not at all hers- She couldn’t really care about the mission now even though it was the only chance she had to stay here and fulfil her dream, but perhaps this could bring the man to his senses. The brunette turned around and wrapped her arms around Robin from behind, she held him firmly in place as he stopped dead in his tracks.
“Robin . . .” Sora whispered softly just between the two of them, trying to calm him. “Please stop, you’re better than this.” she told him and hugged him tighter as he tried to resist. “Please come home with your brother . . . I need to stay here in the Capital.” she murmured quietly. She wasn’t sure whether he was surprised or not but he held his place. Thoughts of him and Cosette filled her with doubt to even say the next part, “I- I missed you . . . please let me stay here, close to you.” she mumbled beneath his shirt, barely above her breath.
“Sora.” He curtly said the young woman’s name as he moved away from Sora then gripped her hand firmly. His burning red eyes looked straight into hers and searched for any signs of lies or miscommunication. “You promise to stay here?” he uncertainly asked her, still probing into the female’s jade green eyes and seemed to search for something. She nodded her head and smiled slightly, somewhat feeling unsure with his very deep gaze. “Yes I promise Robin, I’ll stay here if you decide to go home.” Sora told him before he stopped himself from grinning, not exactly caring of the latter parts and pulled her into a tight hug.
“Sora I missed you. I missed you so much. I really missed you terribly- Thank you.” He whispered into her ears as he held her in place, squeezing the young woman so tightly as if planning in never letting her go. Sora sighed in relief and hugged back the male. Still somewhat disbelieving that she was actually with him at the moment and they finally got reunited once again.
