“Who is a man amongst the boys? Win a lovely prize for your beautiful companion!” A young boy called out to the passer-by of his fair attraction. Sora immediately grinned and led Raiden to the strength testing game or a high striker game. It was a machine that had a base, bag, puck and as well as a bell to ring if the person reaches the maximum strength capable and give them a prize. “I’m pretty sure that this will be an easy peasy win for you.” She continued to grin diabolically and rubbing her hands together in anticipation of the gain, Raiden could not help but sweat drop at the young woman’s reaction. Even if it did not involve money she seemed to be always scheming. It made him consider having Merchants to be called Thieves instead.
“So this machine, measures my strength?” Raiden queried and lifted his brows as the young boy nodded. “Aye, you are correct good sir! It tests if you’re a man among the boys!” The little boy squeaked as a smirk formed on Raiden’s lips. “That sounds interesting.” He exclaimed, ‘A chance to prove my manhood?’ he thought, somewhat a bit excited to show off his own strength and manliness. He’ll get back at Sora for embarrassing him about his ‘manhood’ and really prove himself. He then wanted to massage his forehead, ‘Why does that even matter to me? Let her scrutinize me for all I care.’ He thought in frustration at his own concern over such a trivial matter.
“However, my strength is immeasurable.” Raiden shrugged a bit as Sora pinched the bridge of her nose. “My goodness, does it reek of stinky pride or what?” Sora uttered and grimaced at Raiden before she laughed at him. Her mouth formed into a lopsided grin as she looked at him teasingly. The orange-haired male huffed at Sora, clearly not amused. Although, there was one more person who was more not amused and it was Robin. He glanced at the machine that Sora wanted Raiden and not for him to try. He clenched his fist and punched the bag to test out his strength.
The machine had bars which featured different titles to acknowledge your strength as you went pass it. ‘An ant is stronger than you’, ‘I’ve seen bees with more sting’, ‘Are you really a human?’, ‘You’re normal’, ‘Above average strength’, ‘Super human?’, ‘Amazing!’ were the titles. As Robin punched it and the puck went flying pass the bars, it stopped at ‘Above average strength’. The white haired male smiled in silent satisfaction. He had gotten stronger through the years of practice. Everybody was impressed at his bout of strength, Sora grinned at the sight.
“Ooh! Wow Robin! Who knew?” Sora smiled at him proudly, “All those years of carrying heavy luggage certainly helped eh?” she added as the male chuckled and poked her forehead. “Yeah I remember; you always made me carried your luggage too.” Robin declared as Sora pouted. “No way! It’s the other way around- plus when I actually did make you carry my luggage; it was because you yourself offered to carry it for me!” the brown haired woman protested and waved her arms to make her point as Robin merely grinned at her, once again his cute fang protruding.
“Indeed, being helpful does certainly lead to benefits.” Miss Viola mused while looking at the level of strength the male had possessed. The machine did not seem rigged at all too which was even more impressing. “Have you ever considered becoming part of a guild? We usually don’t get Influentials, but you may prove an exception.” Miss Viola explained with a lopsided grin. Robin became sheepish while Roswell merely chuckled. “My, interesting strength indeed, however you lacked the proper form and relied on mere strength.” The other white haired male declared, his long hair seemingly flowing ethereally in the air as he spoke. He closed his fist and looked at the others with a bemused smile. “With a proper form and position, you need not only raw power to unleash thy strength.” He explained and swung his fist gracefully at the bag as the puck rose into the air and went past the ‘above average strength’ meter and almost reached the next level in power, just teetering closely to the ‘Superhuman’ category.
Roswell blew at his knuckles with a small amount of air, as Robin frowned and sniggered. His brother had his arms crossed defensively while muttering that it was mere chance and luck as the other merely grinned. Miss Viola’s lips pursed into a small ‘o’, she wondered to herself silently on why Influentials were not really taken as ‘Chosen Ones’ more often if they had such power. “Hmm…” Raiden hummed making a sound of quiet approval. Although he wondered if the male took steroids or what training Roswell had done- well both of them really. The two brothers who were Influentials, were rather exerting an amazing force of strength that were more often than not was on par with a regularly training Warrior. Not that they were on par with him, now that was an entirely different matter. “Man! I thought you were so delicate and whatnot!” Sora gushed as Roswell laughed modestly. “My oh my Sora dear, people always assumed me as very fragile person indeed.” He told her with a sheepish smile as Robin let out a quiet ‘tch’.
“Hey guuys let me have my turn!” Haichi pouted and made his way to the punching bag and closed his fist. Even Cosette had been awestruck with the two brothers at their display of strength; well he’ll show her that he was just as good as any of them. He cracked his knuckles and then punched his fist onto the bag- he let out a girly scream as his fist connected with the bag. “Ow, ow, ow! My hands!” Haichi cried a bit as the puck went up a bit, it landed below normal strength. The punching bag swung back a bit and hit the brown haired male right onto his face. “Ow!!!! Mama!” Haichi cried, his face turning red with a punching bag mark on his face. “I’ve seen bees with more stings.” The young lad read out loud the score and chuckled a bit, Cosette felt embarrassed as she performed an ‘Aqua heal’ on her teammate. He could have probably just avoided it. “Hmm I see- what about you Cosette?” Miss Viola asked and she shook her head. “I don’t want to break my nails.” She declined her Guild master demurely. Miss Viola pouted a bit, Sora raised her hand.
“I want to try~” she declared energetically as Miss Viola grinned. “Atta girl!”
The young woman walked up to the punching bag and steadied her stance; her knees were a bit bent as she craned her neck and cracked her knuckles. “Well here I goooooo!” she shouted and knocked her fist onto the punching bag, she felt her bones crying out in pain but she merely winced and pulled her hand back. “Ow, ow” she whispered to herself and bent low on her hand protectively. The puck went up into the bars and landed on ‘Are you even normal?’ and she grimaced. “Man, Sora you really should have not let me carry those bags throughout those years.” Robin chuckled, not noticing the girl in pain. Meanwhile, Raiden touched Sora’s shoulder kindly, “Hey you okay?” he questioned as Sora smiled, still wincing a bit. “I feel terrific.” She gasped at him and then laid her forehead on his plate of armor. “Maan, it hurts.” She whispered to him silently as the male sweat dropped. “You should have not tried it Sora.” He muttered and the young woman grinned while still in pain, “Hey I’m not so bad, at least I’ve managed to be stronger than Haichi eh?” she exclaimed somewhat proudly as the orange haired male merely shook his head. Raiden could really not understand what went through the mind of the young woman who was leaning down on him, leaning down on him, on him!!!!
The young warrior gripped her by the shoulders and held her back at some good amount of distance. “You know, I think I should avenge you and try the ‘High Striker’ game now.” He uttered to her in determination as they both looked into one another’s eyes. Raiden quickly averted his eyes as Sora sheepishly smiled. “Good luck Raiden, I know you can beat that top level.” She grinned but Miss Viola lifted a hand. “Hold up- before he does. I want to test some of my strength.” The older woman grinned, flaunting her violet tresses as some men had been watching. She coiled her fist before launching a punch at the machine. The bars went up and it hit the ‘Amazing!’ category as everybody’s mouth dropped down. “Man, she isn’t a Guild Master for nothing eh?” Haichi laughed a bit in surprise. Cosette sweat dropped and nodded, making a note to never anger their Guild Master. Robin was in utter shock of a person even stronger than him and his brother, more so that she was an old woman. (Miss V: Excuse me? I’m just--- Secretary: She’s turning- Miss V: Hush!)
Sora nodded her head with Haichi, “That was amazing Miss Viola, are you a warrior?” she queried with a tilt of her head and the older woman gave her a lopsided grin, “I’m even better than a warrior. . . I’m a Guild Master.” She chuckled, making everyone want to slap a hand on their foreheads. Miss Viola was indeed a Guild Master, but what Sora and perhaps everyone was interested to know was her Potentiality. It seemed to be a no brainer that she was a fellow warrior like Raiden but she could have also been a Mystical using her energy force or even a Creativist who had structured a Nano-weapon to have given her physical strength a boost.
The warrior rolled his eyes, knowing how their Guild Master wanted to seem like an enigmatic figure as he walked up to the machine and actually start his own testing. Raiden first cracked his knuckles and craned his head to the sides. Cosette and Sora sweat-dropped, somehow seeing it as a display that was unnecessary. Haichi began cheering for his teammate, “Beat the old lady Raiden!” he chanted and made Miss Viola glare daggers at his back. Haichi let out an eep and ducked behind Sora and Cosette who then face-palmed. The male Robin merely rolled his eyes, he could already feel the outcome but what of it? Did it even matter? They were with a warrior. Roswell on the other hand wore a small smile full of amusement; he wanted to actually see with his own two eyes the strength of a Noble Warrior Clan.
There were Five Man’s Great Potentialities:
The Influentials
The person was bestowed the gift of influence- surpassing the resistance of those who even dare to counter them whether through physical or mental means. Their gift manifested in the grace of speaking and how they could make it possible the peace of all the humans. The Influentials were the one who governed all the races and keep the serenity of the land. To them was placed the honor of becoming the leaders and to influence the history of humanity.
The Creativists
To the person the gift of creativity is given- using anything that seems impossible to create an ingenious creation. Members of the Creativist were known to bring the advancement of human to its utmost peak. The desolated wasteland after the Apocalyptical event was brought back to life thanks to the utilization of the crystal’s power. They are often working side by side with the other races to improve each aspect. They are also whispered to be the Influentials protectors, living the most closely to the Influentials and the Capital.
The Mystics
A few were selected and blessed to become Mystics. Inside of these people spurred mysterious energy that gave great healing or destruction to those who approach them. A lot of the people were blessed with healing energy and only few were given the opportunity to harness destructive energy to ensure that the people do not abuse their power that could defy physics and use it for the wrong things. If they were to be considered before, they are to be like the Doctors and Nurses of this time.
The Merchants
These were the people given the ability to bestow what was needed by the many through their discernment. Merchants were the one who dealt with the not-so-obvious but important matters of human existence along with the Influentials and the next Potentiality. The Influentials can be considered as the Government, the one who ensure that each and every person was treated fairly and justly. The Merchants were the Industry, without them there would be no food grown or weapons produced, the Merchants are said to have an inner knowledge about the psyches of people so that they can be responsible for what was desired.
The Warriors
And the ones who became the utmost defender and ultimate defence against the dangers of the outside realm became as tough as steel and as light as a feather- dare anyone to challenge them to a battle. The Warriors were situated at the very end of the whole human realm, thus they were somewhat in between the protected crystal dome and also outside it to harness their skills by fighting the grotesque creatures that erupted during the Apocalypse. These men and women were chosen to expand the land of humans and once again reclaim the world as their own.
Now, in the races of the human that were divided by their Potentiality were of course those who stood out among their follow peers and became the leaders of each Potentiality. They were called Nobles, Leaders and other titles for showing exemplary feats and skills that stood above their fellow men. In the Warrior clans they were called Nobles; they were known to have the greatest amount of strength amongst all the warriors and kept the sovereignty of all the Warriors. One of the Noble clans was the Gastenfalzh . . . the clan of Raiden.
However, as the years passed the time- the feats and the power of the Gastenfalzh name soon dwindled in power. It was said that they were soon to be taken out of their position and that was when Raiden Gastenfalzh sprung up from the clan. It was no secret that their clan had been waiting and preparing for a savior to spring up from their clan and once again become renowned.
Raiden Gastenfalzh was the son of the clan leader and was said to have been trained ever since he was able to stand on his two feet. He was an enigmatic figure, rumoured to be one of the greatest from their clan. It was because of that background that the young warrior dreamt of performing a feat that would cement their place as a Noble clan, and perhaps the strongest one out of all the Warriors.

.
The young male closed his eyes in concentration and exhaled a bit, the words resounding in his head.
‘Graced by the gods
Born out of this blood
Strength shall flood
Enemies have eschewed
Soon to be doomed
Face the wrath of Gastenfalzh’
Crash!
The warrior’s fist flew so fast at the machine that it was almost unseen by them. In a blink of an eye was the destruction of the machine, it was naught but ruins. A triumphant grin spread onto Miss Viola, feeling satisfied that she had managed to get herself one of the best Warriors in the current generation. Sora gawked at the remains of the machine, it was all but rubble and she nearly forgot that she won- well Raiden won, but she was the one who urged him. She raised both of her hands into the air, “Whoo! We won!!!!” she declared and spun in circles.
Onlookers were thrown to be amazed at the sight of the strength. It was a rare event that not only a Warrior but a Noble Warrior was given the opportunity to display their strength beyond battles. Indeed Warriors were to be esteemed almost as much as Influentials. Influentials were blessed with words and Warriors with strength. Haichi was shaken, unsure of what to feel- happiness for his friend or sadness at the destruction of a rather competent machine. Cosette awkwardly patted the back of Haichi for comfort whilst she smiled softly, quite overjoyed with the results. Raiden indeed was someone to be looked up to she thought happily.
Robin at first was almost struck in surprise like Haichi but was quickly shoving it down as he let out a yawn, “How underwhelming.” He muttered while stretching, he half expected that the machine would be destroyed but not that much that it would be almost pulverized. If he had indeed started a fist fight with the man and Raiden had been serious then he really would get in trouble. Roswell meanwhile was already sheepishly handing over to the young boy’s awaiting hands a bag of gold to enable the lad to buy another machine or whatever he wanted to do with the money. “For the damages.” He whispered to the young boy, the boy was almost in tears at first but then quickly gave a glare at Miss Viola before Roswell decided to interfere.
It would be unsightly to the crowd to have an older woman picking on a young boy he thought, despite how entertaining it might have been to his own personal tastes. However he was already quite content and pleased at the show that the Noble Warrior displayed, it was beyond his expectations. Perhaps he needed to hire a stronger bodyguard at his boutique in case a fight suddenly ensues. Without a doubt Roswell had to bring him in and the thought already thrilled the young nobleman.
“Hey kiddo what prize did we get?” Sora immediately turned to the boy who then hid the bag of gold behind his back. “Um… you can get anything on the display table- if you want, you can take everything since nobody can play the game anymore.” The boy explained, somewhat looking dismayed that the machine really got broken. He could replace it if he wanted, although he was actually more fascinated on what the warrior’s measure of strength was- by the looks of the machine it had been incapable of measuring the strength of a person like him.
“Mister you’re really strong!” he beamed at Raiden, “How strong do you think you are? Could you lift a mountain? What do you do for training? I’ve seen other Warriors play this but they never broke it before-” he began enthusiastically asking Raiden who merely rubbed his head and chuckle a bit. “Nothing much, you should have heard of my ancestors. I train daily when possible.” He replied as he walked to the display table and glanced at all the knickknacks on display. Once he saw something that caught his eye, he grabbed the item and tossed it to Sora who thankfully managed to catch it.
“You can have that; I did tell you that my strength was immeasurable.” He told the young brunette with a rather relaxed tone that was also a bit playful. The young woman looked at what she caught in her hands, a small blush compassing her cheeks before she looked at the warrior. “This is . . . really not worth that much but thanks Raiden.” She grinned, the redness on her face disappearing as she walked onto the display table and grabbed the edge of the cloth before wrapping it all over the items.
“I’m going to take everything though~” she declared with a clear resolution that Cosette could not help but have less time to be jealous and simply laugh at the Merchant’s desire for the items along with the other people. Robin also felt the same, unable to be mad at what he deemed the slyness of the warrior but simply relish Sora’s happiness with a small smile. “Okay Raiden- onto the next carnival gaaame!” the brunette lady cheered as Raiden simply shook his head at the ridiculousness of it all. “We’re going to win everything!” she looked at Raiden with a determined look as he merely rolled his eyes and followed the young woman onto the next game.
This was really going out of hand the young warrior thought somewhat amused but then also realized something which was quite obvious from the start. The young woman beside him was planning to utilize his strengths to win all the games present in the carnival fair, which was like actually just using him as a pawn to collect all the prizes. “Hey Sora- this is like cheating you know?!”
