Destiny Voyage- Finally In! 4.0
My mind wandered to where the two could be- my hand mechanically raking my hair as I walked back and forth. Trying to find a possible location which was bad since I hardly knew any rides- should I have gone onto the food court? Perhaps indeed I should have, however my gut instincts wanted to spy err check on Sora and made sure she was safe. I admired the young man however I knew that he was also dangerous to women no doubt.
I leaned back my head on the hilt of the sword behind my back. I sighed softly and tenderly. “You always have my back don’t you Godspeed?” I chuckled quietly to myself and let out a heavy sigh and looked around the vicinity. If only there was a tree I could climb up onto- “All aboard and see the heights of the carnival!” a male’s voice shouted from the corner as I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes. “You man over there! Yes you~! “The older man shouted at me and called me over.
I looked at the ride behind him as my eyeballs nearly rolled back in dismay and anguish. It was a- Ferris wheel? Yes it was one of those spinning balls of death. It hurled you in the air and spun you up and down as you try and hold back yourself from vomiting. It made my stomach lurched as I nearly felt something coming up my throat- however when I remembered Sora’s eyes looking at me in worry; I collected my strength to come up the ride. It was for her sake- a teammate!
The man finally buckled me and my trustful sword in the cabin despite his weird look at my incessant request from his previous refusals. I couldn’t leave God’s Speed alone couldn’t I? It was that important to me and my family. He pushed me back and I gripped the metal rails tightly as he let in a couple in the ride. “Oh goodness- please hold me! I’m scared of Ferris Wheels.” Cried out the girl and latched herself in the man’s arm. I rolled my eyes at the stupidity. How obvious of the woman’s intentions.

“Hey Raiden?” Cosette’s voice said in a wince of pain. I immediately looked at her in concern- “What is it?” I questioned and looked into her beautiful crystalline blue eyes as Haichi started panicking around in circles of me and Cosette. (Sora: You embarrass me *face palm* ) “I err… stubbed my toe and it hur-“ She sheepishly started out before I quickly took her in my arms and carried her bridal style. “Feels better?” I questioned, our faces a small distance away as my cheeks tinted slight pink.
She was a teammate.
A teammate okay
“Thanks Rai-kun.” She told me and leaned down to kiss my cheek before pulling down her hood even lower her eyes to hide her embarrassment as she turned away. My face however was already heating up and turning different shades of red. It was a simple thank you kiss-don’t overthink Raiden. I mentally chanted to myself and hit the back of my head at the hilt of my sword.

My team mates like Cosette and Sora would never and I mean never ever act like that ever. Cosette was simply too pure and innocent to act that sultrily and Sora was too preoccupied with her wild dreams of protecting the Capital and all around it. Thankful was I for my team mates to have no distraction- my eyes widened. Robin could become a distraction to Sora. Goodness it shouldn’t matter I tried to convince myself- Sora was hardly any battle-changer and might just prove as a liability on the field like Haichi (Haichi: WUT?! *sobs unceasingly*) without any sort of benefits to offer of strategy like he could offer.
(Haichi: YAAAY)
However this nagging feeling of wanting to separate the two was undeniable. I gritted my teeth. Where would a flirty person like Robin take Sora off to? “Don’t worry- we’ll ride the Love Tunnel after this. I promise.” The man talked with the girl in a hushing tone as my eyes widened. “I know where I need to go!!” I yelled and started to unbuckle the seatbelt. “You’re NOT going anywhere!” the man who managed the Ferris wheel stated as he started the ride and I was pulled back by the impact and in fear.

He had to go!!! The ride stopped on top to his relief. He heaved a- it spun around quickly as he let out a scream and hugged Godspeed tightly. “AAAH!!!” he screamed as the ride stopped more to help him feel his dizziness in such a torturous way as the cabin teetered and swayed back and forth. He heard giggles and chuckle. “Now it wasn’t so bad was it?” the young man asked his girlfriend as he heard the woman giggle again to his annoyance.
“Uh huh- I can see the Love Tunnel over there~” she laughed giddily as Raiden’s eyes widened. Where?! He quickly unbelted himself from his cabin alongside God’s Speed and slowly but surely latched himself to the next cabin and peeped his head out indiscriminately at the couple. “Uh please excuse me but can you please tell me where the Love Tunnel is?” he asked the gaping couple as he hanged upside down like Spiderman. “Err- there at the cave tunnel?” the man gawked while the woman swooned. “How can you do that? It’s amazing.” She praised him as he rolled his eyes.
“My apologies but uninterested-” Raiden started and did a back flip off the ride as the wind blew refreshingly through his face and hair locks. He grinned and sighed in relief as he felt a sense of freedom to get off the mechanical machine that dizzied him so much. He didn’t even- goodness he covered his mouth to keep the puke from erupting out from his mouth as he ran off to the nearest trash bin. It was going to take some time at this rate.
He only hoped that things were alright and nobody was doing anything frisky with one another. He grimaced at the imagery passing his mind. What ifs and a weird course of feeling flowing through his body and making his blood boil if Robin dared force Sora into a horrible situation. Raiden wasn’t that worried of Cosette- she was with Haichi plus she would blast him with a lightning bolt if he did anything funny. He sighed inwardly feeling a bit bad for his teammate.
However he wanted to get finished with his puking- after emptying the contents of his stomach. He once more jogged to the area of the Love Tunnel. Silently praying that nothing happened or else he didn’t know what this burning feeling of his heart could make him do. It made him feel so out of control as he just wanted to see the two of them separated. He bit his lip- confused at how she made him feel. He just wanted to simply be calm and focused on his goal without her getting him side-tracked. He ventured further to the Love Tunnel and saw all kinds of booths dedicated to love with hearts, flowers, cupids and stuffed toy for the couples present.
He wondered- would Sora like a teddy bear? Raiden’s head tilted at the thought and imagined Sora hugging a fluffy stuffed toy. A small smile crossed his lips unconsciously before he shook his head and returned his path towards the Love Tunnel. Cosette adored red roses- what about Sora? Does she like them too? Would she prefer white or pink? His cheeks flushed at all the embarrassing questions crossing his mind. Why did it matter?!
Perhaps he could get one for her birthday or a bouquet- he exhaled as he finally reached the entrance. A long line waiting and flirting with one another and it simply bothered him- was Robin and Sora do the same inside since it featured more privacy? A small shriek could be heard as well as squeals. He frowned in annoyance as his brows furrowed and Raiden crossed his arms. Maybe he should have just waited in the food court or even tried out winning a teddy bear.
They could be used as good practice dummies right? His feet tapped impatiently as he leaned down on a post and closed his eyes, inhaling some deep air and exhaling it slowly. Calm down he told himself as his forehead was knotted together and deep creases were showing. Why did he feel the need to separate Sora? They were good friends- her and the young man. It was perhaps her actual mission to go to the Capital that made his face soured up some more.
He could see the fire and determination in her eyes when she told him that she wanted to become a defender of the world and her enthusiasm at his sword and its possible capabilities. One couldn’t fake that, they truly had the same goal. However they took different paths or slightly diverging ones- he wasn’t sure.
She was reckless and didn’t exactly have her forte in fighting or even had one beyond that slingshot she showed off before. He kept himself trained in the ways of using his sword in short-ranged combat as well martial arts. Sora kept some secrets seeing how she hid the mission and the identity of Robin when he was drunk while he believed in honesty. No matter how much it hurt- you had to tell. It was all for the best to be honest.
He let out a heavy sigh. Goodness where were they? It was taking too long and he was itching to go home- the carnival was no fun. Perhaps that was why his parents never took him here. He shook his head, not wanting to think about the past right now. What mattered were the present and the near future. How he could achieve his goals alongside with his teammates and help them achieve theirs- no matter how atrocious one’s dream could be.
He couldn’t help himself from shaking his head at the wish of the young woman.
She was a wild one indeed.
He smiled briefly at how much she managed to change his- his team’s life at her arrival. Everyone was reacting quite differently and situations were changing. For one thing he didn’t know that they could earn so much at her just convincing Robin to go home back to the Williams family. Not that money was his main motivator but of course money was important for resources. Sora was a little blessing in disguise he sighed softly.
He prayed nothing happened between the two.
He nearly ran over when his eyes saw a short brown haired female get out the small boat. She was being helped up by Robin- his hands enveloping her tiny hands and pulled her up and she squealed as her body collided with his chest. She giggled somewhat embarrassed and shoved him as payback while the man gave her a toothy grin. It made his heart feel all funny again.
Raiden exhaled and kept himself calm and his face unrevealing of any emotions. Next up was Cosette and Haichi getting up from the boat. Nothing unusual- Haichi was soaked! D-did he fall into the water when the young man tried to do something nasty?! He shook his head- probably just got blasted with water burst from Cosette no doubt.
“Hey it’s Raiden!” Haichi shouted and pointed at him as the other three turned to look at him. He gave them an awkward smile and waved. Cosette immediately rushed forward as if finally been set free from spending too much time with Haichi. Honestly though the young teammate could get on anyone’s nerves with nonstop fanning over Cosette and even his know-it-all but don’t really realize it or one that wasn’t quite obvious attitude that he sometimes presented.

In the Holy Mountain Forest:
“Ooh these are such pretty flowers.” Cosette giggled while Raiden nodded but looked at her. “These might be dangerous though so no touching.” He told her while she sighed but nodded. “Hey no worries Cosette just show which ones you like and I’ll tell you if it’s safe.” Haichi butted in with a triumphant grin. “That one over there is a sacred oak tree around 300 years old from its thickness. The flowers here are Begonia that symbolizes ‘Beware’ but they’re okay to pick. Aloe is healing and is actually very good for the skin as my mom told me before to use it to ooze some burns.” He smiled.
Cosette gaped a bit before she smiled softly. “Hey Haichi could I ask you some more different kind of flowers or plants?” she daintily asked. “What? Roses and carnations all have different languages from their different colours-“Haichi began. “Which ones are toxic and poisonous? Are there any deadly and fatal ones?” Cosette inquired excitedly. Haichi gaped for a moment at how Cosette was interested in that but cleared his throat.
“You’ve asked the right guy. There’s belladonna over there behind that tree and hemlock is deadly too. Now see that yellow daffodil? That’s poisonous too.” He explained proudly. “Next up is wolfsbane and foxglove- ooh look at these delicious blueberries looking berries?” he chuckled. “They’re moonberry and very dangerous too.” As Cosette’s eyes were as wide as orbs in amazement as she smiled at him. “You’re amazing with plants.” She told him in admiration.
Haichi shrugged a bit embarrassed. “Well that’s just some brief explanation- there’s ten thousands of more plants in this planet.” He laughed while Cosette’s face now reddened as Raiden merely shook his head.

“Oh!” Sora also glanced at Raiden- a huge toothy grin on her face as Robin messed up her hair. He felt once more the emotion but now classified it as worry and concern that his new teammate would be distracted by the man. However he was also struck in awe of how innocent and bright the young woman looked right now. She was almost like a little girl just having fun with a friend.
Well it would feel like that if the guy was not around his age and alluringly attractive it appeared to the women around him. (Roswell: Ooh what do we have here dear Raiden? *pats his head* do you have something to reveal~? Raiden: I am not gay. *frown* Rose: aww *fujoshi*) and the fact that they were young adults. Either they were childhood friends or could develop into something more was both a clear distraction.
Friends should push you towards your goals and not out of their own self-interest as he saw the content smile on Robin’s face as he then brushed her hair slightly with his fingers. “I’m fixing it-“he told but was cut off. “Hey Raiden you should have tried the Love Tunnel! It was epic!” Sora beamed at him happily that it felt like his heart was melting.
