Heated Morning

The next morning, in a huge dim room, lay two people with their bodies entangled, with only a little ray of light penetrating through the curtains.

They didn't have s*x or anything last night, they only talked about everything they wanted from each other, and ended their conversation at midnight, which was why their bodies were so drained.

Kate groggily opened her eyes but couldn't see clearly, her eyes still adjusting from the dark.

She was then left bewildered when she felt something moving beside her.

When she moved over to the side, she was shocked to see Ace, whose face was literally inches away from her.

She was shocked, her heart almost leaping from her chest.

'Right. I accepted his offer. This is so weird. Only two days ago it was only me and Lucas. And now we're here in a mansion. And me lying next to this rich hunk of a billionaire. Life is so full of surprises. Sigh.'

Ace was still fast asleep, but then he felt her move so his hands that were supposed to be only hanging on the sides snaked its way to Kate's waist, hugging her tightly.

Kate clenched her fist together, her toes curling, feeling butterflies in her stomach all of a sudden.

'This is so weird. Even though I admit that he is the most handsome and hottest guy, I laid eyes on this planet. But still! This pace is way too fast for me!'

She gritted her teeth and slowly tried to pry herself away from him. But it only got worse when Ace moved, hugging her totally from behind.

She could feel the heat radiating off from his body. Especially since he was naked from the waist up.

She could hear his breathing, it was slow and steady, but minutes later, the rhythm of his breathing suddenly changed.

Then she felt a hand start crawling from her waist down to her thighs.

'This bastard is definitely awake!'

Ace behind her had already opened his eyes. He was teasing her, looking forward to her reaction, and he was definitely not left disappointed.

"Ugh! Pervert!" Kate yelled, standing up from the bed.

She was about to lash her anger again when she saw Ace who had on a sexy morning look.

His toned chest was fully exposed, coupled with his growing stubble, his messy hair, and hunter-lazy eyes, creating a very alluring sight. It can totally snatch any woman's breath away. And Kate was not spared from that.

She ogled his body, and for a while she forgot her anger and her mind was instead full of naughty things.

'Why is this guy so perfect?!'

Ace noticed what she was doing and was satisfied that he was able to captivate her.

"It's quite a hot morning isn't it?" He said, sitting up, with one of his hands on the mattress supporting his body, and his other hands ruffling his disheveled hair.

Kate turned around immediately when she saw the quilt falling off of his body. It wasn't supposed to be a big of a deal but Ace was only wearing his boxers, and she was able to catch a glimpse of the huge print between his legs.

Her ears started turning red, and the hair on her nape stood up.

"I-I'm gonna take a shower," she said, her voice faltering as she moved towards the bathroom that they both shared.

Kate got out of the room once she was done dressing herself. Ace was still currently showering, so she decided to check on Lucas first before doing anything.

She's wearing a beautiful white dress that Ace prepared for her, coupled with a pair of black ankle boots since they weren't able to bring their clothes with them.

She was wondering how he knew her size, since all of it fitted her perfectly.

She moved along the corridors to go look for Lucas.

She asked Ace earlier where his bedroom was, and he told her it was in the last room when she turned right from their bedroom.

When she arrived, she opened the door to the room slowly and saw that the room was also spacious like theirs, but instead of a plain white and brown colour, the room was painted blue.

And on the bed was Lucas, who was still sleeping heavily.

She approached the bed with careful steps, trying not to make any noise as much as possible to not disturb her son's sleep.

She brushed his cheeks with her thumb and was lost in thought, contemplating all of the recent events that had happened.

"Honey, I hope your father is really sincere about what he said. If ever he really breaks his promise and hurts us in the end, I will really castrate him. I hope I made the right decision for both of us." Kate whispered.

She then gave Lucas a kiss on his forehead before standing up and leaving.

She was about to head back to the room to talk to Ace about their arrangements when suddenly she heard a ruckus below.

"Where is Ace?! What is this I'm hearing that he has a woman and a child?!" Kate could hear a woman's shrill voice and was curious as to who it could be.

'What's happening down there?'

She then walked to where the sound was coming from to feed her curiosity.

She descended down the stairs, and walked into the living room only to see a woman shouting at the maids. The woman looked younger than Kate, probably five years younger than her.

When she saw Kate walking in, her eyes instantly grew wider. She sized Kate up and down and somewhat showed a displeased face.

"Who are you? What are you doing in my fiance's house?" She asked, her voice laced with an unpleasant tone.

Kate was confused as to what she was talking about, and then finally realized what she meant.

"Ace?" She muttered, her eyes bulging.

"Yes! He's my fiancee. And you? Wait, let me think, you're one of his whores I presume? A prostitute? A gold digger?" The woman pointed out with a condescending look.

Kate was hurt knowing the truth.

'If he already has a fiancee, then why did he still look for us? Why did he make us stay here? Why did he ask to marry me?'

A lot of negative things were pouring into Kate's head. She believed that she was being played. Why else would he hide the fact that he was already about to get married?

"You seem shocked? Do you really think he cares for you? Well, let me tell you, I have known Ace since we were kids, and he never takes a woman such as yourself seriously. So you and your pathetic useless child should just leave us alone." The woman added.

Kate then broke free from her thoughts when she heard her son being attacked, and without thinking, she slapped the woman in the face so hard that she staggered, having a hard time regaining her composure.

"You! How dare you!" The woman was about to slap her, but Kate skilfully evaded it, and gave her another slap in the face, causing her to fall on the floor with a loud "thud".

"You can say anything to me, but never cross with my son. If you want an explanation as to why we're here, then talk to Ace." Kate said with a domineering voice, before leaving the scene.

The woman kept screeching, and when she was halfway up the stairs, she saw Ace who had a flustered look of concern.

"It seems your fiance has paid you a visit. I may have been a little too rude to her. You two should talk outside, she's being too loud. Lucas might hear her if this continues." She had a composed expression, like she wasn't at all swayed by what happened seconds ago.

"Oh, and also, you might want to give her ice for her face. I think I slapped her too hard." She spoke, feigning a worried expression before she continued walking away, but not before giving Ace a death glare on her way up.

's**t! It seems like I f****d up big time!' And what is that woman even doing here?!' Ace fumed, thinking that he should just get rid of the woman to save him from future troubles with Kate.
