Bones part 3

He carried her out of the house. She was violently shaking in his arms. They carried on, away from the now dark house. He carried her cuddled into him, so it was impossible to see much or feel the speed at which they had traveled. A jumble of images came to her mind. Sharp glass everywhere, being flung backwards as though she weighed nothing. The crack of her head as she landed. The smell of blood, potent rich and clear. The smell like old pennies. She held tight to the devil, hoping her shaking would stop soon. He set her down gently once again. When she could speak she asked,'Where are we?'. 'This is where you are buried', he said. 'This is the middle of nowhere', she said looking around. 'Yes, this is where he buried you', the devil said indicating exactly where. 'So I was never buried properly? In hallowed ground',she said. 'No, he left your remains here', he replied. 'Do my family know, I'm missing?',she asked. 'Yes, it made the papers for awhile. Someone found your daughter wandering alone. They went to your home address, to find that he had gone. There was enough evidence upstairs in the bedroom to convict him', he said. 'Why was I never found?', she said. 'Your partner was never found, but I can tell you he has passed away, by his own hand',he said.
